Help, help, help, help?!
The Hand-Buzz Sword Technique was still fresh in her mind.
Ayla’s face almost flushed because she recalled the final battle in Harbor City, when Celes faced the Barbed Priest alone.
That was unbelievably fast! Dozens of strikes in a single second!
Then she came back to her senses. Celes didn’t truly understand what Purification entailed—she only thought it was a simple Blessing, a pure form of assistance.
“No, no need. We’re quite experienced, no help required.”
A polite refusal.
Celes’s expression didn’t change; she kept looking at her steadily.
“It’s fine. Better safe than sorry. If something happens, I can definitely help.”
“Really no need. No help whatsoever…”
“And besides, I’m curious. I want to see how Miss Leah performs Purification. Is that not allowed?”
Well, now that she said it like that, what could Ayla do?
Saying no wouldn’t help.
“Alright, next time then.”
“Next time? Not today?”
Celes suggested, “There’s nothing going on this afternoon, and it’s been five days already.”
It sounded like a suggestion, but Ayla knew when this girl got serious, she would keep negotiating until you agreed.
“…Well, it’s not impossible.”
Half an hour later, Ayla regretted giving in.
Human Kingdom, Royal Capital, north of the city, Bonfire Camp, first-floor main hall.
A few minutes earlier, when Celes expressed her wish to watch the two companions undergo Purification treatment, Vina immediately raised her hand, wanting to watch too.
Zero said, “Since you’re all watching, I might as well take a look myself,” as if no one watching would stop her from sneaking a peek.
Only Leah was completely out of the loop.
She remained dazed until Ayla pulled her onto the sofa to sit “duck style.”
What was happening?
Who was she?
Where was she?
Why was everyone staring at her, and why was there a big-chested girl sitting opposite?
“Here’s the deal, Leah,” Ayla explained, “everyone wants to see how we do Purification.”
It wasn’t that they didn’t trust her—more that they wanted to broaden their horizons.
“See your process?!”
Leah flared up like a spooked cat and immediately stood from the sofa.
“No, no way! That’s not allowed!”
Absolutely not!
Who would allow others to watch girls doing this and that?
How could they be so perverted?
“Why not?”
Vina shrugged with a small hand.
“Isn’t it treatment? A perfectly proper thing. Why can’t we watch?”
Ah, treatment, huh.
Leah only then realized her companions didn’t know about her and Ayla’s “this and that.”
They just wanted to watch the Purification Blessing.
Should’ve said so earlier!
The Saintess blushed prettily and sat back down reluctantly.
“The Goddess’s Blessing is precious and solemn. Normally outsiders shouldn’t watch, but since we’re comrades, I’ll let you see this once.”
She settled back, keeping the duck-sit posture, then gestured for Ayla to raise her hands.
Their hands joined together.
Celes frowned slightly—her first thought was that they were too close, their chests almost touching!
But looking closer, the two girls’ positions weren’t actually that near; it was just their large busts naturally converging.
Hmm……
“Goddess above, please grant me the power of Purification, dispel evil, and save the innocent lambs.”
Leah recited the prayer devoutly, and a gentle holy light descended upon the two girls.
The warmth and pure aura were palpable—even the onlooking companions could feel it.
You have to admit, it looked peaceful, like a moment of quiet healing, completely pure and without issue.
Then Vina suddenly raised her hand.
“Hey, this thing is hot! You were so hot before you took off your clothes. Don’t forget today!”
“Don’t interrupt!”
Leah shot her a sharp glare.
“And it wasn’t taking off clothes last time, just unbuttoning!”
“I’m just being considerate, afraid you’ll forget to undress today and get too hot. Geez, no need to be so fierce.”
Fierce or not, the little witch’s words were heard by everyone.
Leah and Ayla were stuck, exchanging glances with no clue what to do.
Ayla: Should we take them off?
Leah: You go first, why wait? Should the Saintess go first?
Ayla: If we don’t take them off, do we need a reason?
Is there any Doctrine we can use?
Leah: Take them off! What else?
The two big-chested girls shared an awkward, uncoordinated eye exchange.
“Why stop now?”
Vina urged from the side.
“Keep going, the audience is watching~”
No turning back!
Hot…
Leah closed her eyes and withdrew her hands, unbuttoning the top collar button as she chanted, “O Light, you are the fervent holy radiance…”
Ayla’s pretty face instantly flushed.
So hot!
She hurried to undo the first button.
The second was already open, so the collar suddenly spilled open, revealing quite a lot.
Leah paused her incantation as the heat lessened.
Soon, the holy light withdrew and the chanting ceased, signaling the end.
Vina was the first to raise her hand and applaud.
“Wonderful, eye-opening! But I’m curious—why did you suddenly say that hot blessing just now, but it only lasted a moment?”
Leah returned to her usual poised sitting position and explained elegantly, “Evil tends to relax its guard during the earlier gentle phase. Suddenly increasing intensity can kill it. As for why just once—Ayla’s evil presence is troublesome but not deep, so one strike is enough.”
She didn’t forget to give Ayla some credit.
“I see. So this is the so-called big fire recovery technique, right?”
“…Not exactly.”
Leah wanted to correct the disrespectful phrase about the Goddess, but then realized she herself was not so innocent—using the Goddess’s radiance to cover up something a little naughty.
“Finished watching? I’m going back to rest now. I still have to return to the Chapel this afternoon.”
Better go back and confess to the Goddess a little more.
Ayla also got up from the sofa.
Her face, flushed red from the heat before, had returned to normal thanks to the Blessing’s restorative effect.
“I’m going back too. Everyone, get some rest early… I mean, take a nap.”
She went upstairs, entered her room, locked the door, and since her buttons were already undone, she just flopped onto the bed.
Her big chest jiggled like jelly as her brain’s CPU began working.
Why did Celes make such a request?
Could it be that she still had doubts inside?
Ayla wasn’t someone to just sit and wait to die.
Feeling something was off, she sat up and grabbed paper and pen, sketching and jotting notes.
First, she drew a dagger to represent the assassin girl, with two circles above it, indicating Zero had already discovered the truth and was currently the most dangerous.
Next was a sword, drawn with a half-circle, meaning Celes had suspicions but was still uncertain.
Lastly, a magic staff with a question mark—because the little witch’s attitude and motivations were always a mystery.
What could be done?
