[“Candidate Merlin Apollio, do you confirm withdrawal from the current Tianqiong Path Academy Newborn Joint Entrance Exam?”]
He watched the ground hurtle closer, thinking Shen Yan’s voice had never been so slow—like it was deliberately dragging things out.
“Confirm! Confirm! Confirm!!”
Just then, he saw a streak of gold shoot out of the monastery—like a giant serpent, chasing him fast.
The Golden Cymbal?
No, not that—it was the Reaper’s Scythe!
He watched the golden light close in, while Shen Yan’s voice droned on.
[“Confirmed. Candidate Merlin Apollio will withdraw from this…”]
“Hurry up!” Merlin was frantic, “Get me out now!”
He could already feel the Golden Cymbal’s terrifying pressure, the binding power beginning to take effect, but—
[“Confirming candidate location, current coordinates…”]
As Shen Yan reported word by word, the Golden Cymbal closed over his head.
“No—”
The Golden Cymbal swallowed him whole.
All returned to darkness.
Shen Yan’s voice continued: [“Warning: No life signs detected for candidate Merlin Apollio. Unable to withdraw.”]
[“Repeat: Withdrawal application cannot be processed.”]
[“Candidate Merlin Apollio’s withdrawal has failed. The system will retain his examination record and ranking rights. Please report to the exam center for review after the test concludes…”]
No one could hear it anymore.
On the tower top of Little Thunderclap Monastery, Achilles and the others witnessed everything.
The wind howled atop the tower, whipping their hair and clothes.
Only then did they realize—even Merlin had been taken, without a chance to withdraw.
This meant… Su Fu had discovered them.
Almost at the same moment, the entire monastery began to shake violently, the tower swaying, bricks falling, dust flying everywhere.
“What’s going on?!” Hopte cried out in terror, scrambling for something to hold onto.
The others grabbed anything they could to keep from being thrown off.
A second later, they discovered the cause of the tremor—
A massive golden staff had sliced the monastery in half!
The staff shone with dazzling golden light, like a pillar propping up the sky, piercing straight through the heart of the monastery, then suddenly pulling out—
“Bang!”
The whole building was collapsing.
“We’re finished! The tower’s going to fall!” Freya screamed, hastily summoning her giant cat chariot.
Two enormous cats appeared, pulling the chariot to the tower’s edge.
The group wasted no time, leaping onto the chariot just as the tower’s top began to crumble.
The chariot plunged downward, barely escaping disaster.
As soon as they landed, dust billowed everywhere, the roar of the collapsing tower drowning out all else.
When the dust settled a little, they saw a figure strolling out from the ruins—
Step by step, she walked atop shattered stones and dust, the staff that had just demolished the monastery now slung casually over her shoulder.
It was, without a doubt, Su Fu.
She stood there, head tilted, beaming at them, her tone airy: “Oh? Pregnant again?”
Beside her, the golden bell jingled cheerfully.
Her gaze swept over the bulging bellies of the group, meaningful and lingering.
Everyone: “…..”
Achilles and the others were struck as if by lightning, vision darkening—almost fainting on the spot.
As men, their bellies distended, and their most hated enemy had seen it firsthand.
This was more humiliating than death.
Achilles’s face turned bright red, nearly dripping blood.
It was a long time before he found his voice, forcing out each word through clenched teeth: “Su Fu, I’ll kill you!”
Su Fu, unbothered, chuckled and asked, “Killing me alone won’t be enough, right?”
She raised an eyebrow at Freya, eyes full of mockery, “Didn’t you say you’d bring me a gift if we met again? So? Did you succeed?”
Freya froze, lips trembling, unable to utter a word.
Of course she’d said it—when they first arrived at Little Thunderclap Monastery, they’d been thoroughly outwitted by Su Fu, humiliated.
She’d sworn then she’d make Su Fu taste the same.
She never expected Su Fu to remember.
Freya wanted to say something, but feared being beaten to death.
“What’s wrong? Forgotten what you said?” Su Fu drawled, strolling forward two steps, her golden staff tapping idly on the ground.
“Let me remind you—someone said if they saw me, they’d make me end up just like all of you…”
She gestured at their stomachs.
Achilles and the others: “!!!”
Everyone was so infuriated by her words that they almost fainted—she had insulted them yet again!
Freya finally couldn’t take it anymore, she stared daggers at Su Fu, and, at last, exploded in anger.
She would have done something about it, but the problem was, Su Fu had the ability to dismiss the Nüwa Manifestation behind her.
That was the Founding Goddess, the highest rank.
Never mind not having grasped the authority over others’ procreation—even if she had, as long as the Nüwa Manifestation was present, it would have been ineffective.
She was obviously doing this on purpose.
Arrogant—simply too arrogant.
Achilles suddenly burst into a cold laugh out of rage, his voice calm but dripping with murderous intent: “Su Fu, very good. How long do you think you can act so high and mighty?”
He took a slow step forward, golden divine power surging around him like crashing waves, Lord Zeus’s Thunder Power swirling about his form, producing a harsh crackling sound.
After being insulted repeatedly by Su Fu, he’d completely thrown aside all pride—only vengeance remained in his heart.
“You think you’ve won? Maybe your Golden Cymbal is impressive, but you can’t control us. When it comes to Founding Gods, we have two on our side—what do you have to fight us with?”
Hopte: “…..”
‘Help! Please, don’t count me in!’
The big boss of this entire instance had already been captured by Su Fu in the Golden Cymbal.
Whenever she wished, Su Fu could finish off Yellow Browed Monster and thus end the instance.
At this point, what was the point in fighting Su Fu?
None at all—the outcome was already decided.
Time to admit defeat.
He never did anything at a loss; if there was going to be a fight, better let Bodhi Yue handle it herself.
Hopte made up his mind and quietly retreated—he definitely didn’t want to be cannon fodder now, especially not against the woman who’d just broken the Little Thunder Monastery Main Tower in half with a single swing of her staff.
God, she really was terrifying!
But just as he was about to slip away, Achilles’ icy voice rang out from ahead: “Hopte, if you leave now, I’ll consider our cooperation void and your promise broken.”
Hopte froze instantly, narrowed his eyes, and fixed a deadly glare at Achilles’ back and asked, “Are you threatening me?”
Achilles didn’t even turn around, only sneered: “Well, you haven’t completed your mission, have you? I let it slide before, but now I’m in a foul mood.”
“So what?”
Hopte’s face flickered uncertainly as he ran circles in his mind, but in the end, he still stopped.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to leave, but that he couldn’t.
Hopte stayed put, and Achilles’ lips curled in a taunt: “Didn’t you want first place? Come on, take me down, and first place is yours.”
He tilted his head slightly, his tone contemptuous: “But as a lowly peasant from the Fourth Star Ring, aren’t you just dying to finish off Yellow Browed Monster and end the instance?”
Everyone immediately realized—Achilles was trying to provoke Su Fu, to make her abandon her plan to end the instance outright and force her to fight him and the others!
He clearly couldn’t stomach it—couldn’t stomach letting Su Fu win just like that.
If Su Fu ended the instance directly, his record would forever bear this stain: defeated by a lowly peasant from the lower star rings.
It was an utterly unacceptable humiliation for Achilles.
All eyes involuntarily turned to Su Fu, ‘She was so sharp, would she fall for this plan? Would she take the bait?’
Although Su Fu was indeed very strong, going head-to-head in a brawl didn’t guarantee she could beat them.
After all, they had two Founding Gods on their side, both perfectly capable of countering the Golden Cymbal, and then there was the battle-prowess of Achilles and Saffiros, not to mention the powerful support from Freya.
How could Su Fu, alone, possibly win?
Achilles stared at Su Fu, only to see her suddenly smile.
Su Fu was honestly speechless—she laughed from sheer exasperation.
Did these people really think she’d let them off?
She said, “Alright, I’ll give you all a chance.”
Everyone’s faces lit up—had they really succeeded?
But in the next second, they watched as Su Fu raised the Ruyi Jingu Bang in her hand and gently tapped the floating Golden Cymbal beside her, producing a crisp “dang dang” sound.
“Hey, friends inside, are you all there? Do me a favor, and I’ll let you out, how about it?”
Everyone: “???”
Their faces changed at once, staring at Su Fu in disbelief as the same thought flashed through their minds: ‘Damn, how shameless can you get!’
The ones locked inside the Golden Cymbal weren’t just Yellow Browed Monster and Merlin, but also that whole group of examinees that had been trapped earlier.
The Golden Cymbal didn’t distinguish between “chickens,” but in reality, those people were all freshmen from Tianqiong Path Academy, and their strength was definitely nothing to scoff at.
Now, with Su Fu controlling the Golden Cymbal, she basically controlled everyone inside.
She wanted them to help her fight!
Su Fu’s tone was quite friendly, even a little warm: “I remember you’ve been inside for almost an hour, right? This Golden Cymbal has its quirks. If you stay in for three hours, all life inside turns into blood.”
“So, how about it? Want to cooperate? Help me with one little thing and I’ll let you out.”
“What thing?”
“Super simple. Right now there’s, let’s see, one, two… maybe four or five people in front of me. We number in the hundreds—just take them down.”
“What? You want to add a time limit too?”
Su Fu smiled at the people across from her, lips curling: “Three hours. When Yellow Browed Monster turns to blood, the exam ends.”
She paused, her tone cool: “If you’re not interested, that’s fine. I’ll just let you out for a breath of air every two hours and then send you back inside.”
“How does that sound?”
With those words, the inside of the Golden Cymbal fell instantly silent.
Dear God, this woman was a devil!
Golden Cymbal’s three-hour limit would liquefy everything into blood—but what about two hours?
What would they become?
And letting them out every two hours just to shove them back in—wasn’t that just psychological torture?
Giving them hope, then dashing it again and again—pure mental torment but did they have any say in the matter?
Clearly not.
With the Golden Cymbal firmly under Su Fu’s control, she could do all of that easily.
Achilles and the rest instantly realized just how ruthless this strategy was.
If she succeeded, no matter how strong they were, faced with an assault by a thousand opponents, defeat was inevitable!
“Move!” Achilles growled, eyes flashing with killing intent.
“We can’t give her any more time to communicate!”
The words had barely left his mouth when he turned into a bolt of lightning, charging straight for Su Fu.
But just as they made their move, Su Fu suddenly smiled at the Golden Cymbal and said, “Thank you for your cooperation.”
Achilles’ warning bells went off, and he stopped abruptly—but it was already too late—
The light on the Golden Cymbal’s surface suddenly flared, and then it began to tremble violently.
One after another, figures were projected out from the Golden Cymbal.
In an instant, the examinees filled the ruins of the Little Thunder Monestry, completely encircling Achilles and his group.
At some point, Su Fu had already stepped onto her wind-and-fire wheels, floating in mid-air.
The wheels blazed with brilliant golden-red flames, casting a shower of sparks.
Achilles watched helplessly as she raised the Ruyi Jingu Bang and pointed it in their direction.
“On my command—kill!”
