Chapter 101: Welcome to the Scandal

After somehow finishing all the measurements, I looked around at the suits hanging inside.

I walked around the shop, trying on suits that gave off the same atmosphere as Master.

Every suit I put on changed the mood I gave off.

With a slight pang of disappointment, I hung the jacket back in its original place and asked Master,
“Um… I want to try on William’s clothes too.”

“This? It’s custom-made, so there shouldn’t be another with the same design.”

“No, the one you’re wearing now.”

Pointing to the jacket Master wore, he shrugged as if it wasn’t a problem, took off the jacket, and handed it to me.

The heavy scent of cologne brushed past my nose first.

Pretending to check the sleeve length, I sniffed deeply and even caught Master’s natural scent lingering in it.

The jacket was too big for me, but at the same time, it was incredibly cozy.

As the warm heat wrapped around my body, I felt as if I was being held by Master, and my heart tingled.

“Do you like it?”

“Yes…”

Master, thinking I liked the design, immediately called the tailor and ordered several suits of the same design.

I didn’t bother to correct his misunderstanding.

The design didn’t really matter to me.

I simply liked it because it was Master’s clothing.

So, I didn’t care what design the suits I would wear had.

In the end, I ordered several suits as Master chose for me and stepped outside.

I got into the car and checked the time.

I had gone out just to grab a quick meal, but several hours had already passed since I left the company.

By now, the secretary was probably frantically looking for Master, having noticed his absence.

“Hmm… something still feels missing.”

Despite ordering so many clothes for myself, Master, who was behind the wheel, seemed lost in thought, as if something was still lacking.

The inside of Master’s jacket buzzed continuously.

It was definitely a call from the secretary trying to reach him.

“Shouldn’t we head back to the office now?”

“Already want to end our date?”

“Date…?”

Was this outing a date? Realizing that late, my mouth fell open.

If that was the case… isn’t it a bit early to finish already?

The words to turn back were about to come out, but just then, Master’s lips curved slowly upward as if he’d expected it.

“Then how about going to the department store for old times’ sake?”

“The place we went last time?”

“Yeah. Think of it as a welcome gift for your joining the company. Pick out anything you’ve always wanted.”

So, until the sun set, we wandered around the department store picking out my things.

Master bought me various items as a welcome gift and was even more eager than I was in selecting them.

I imagined Sophia getting busy with all the packages being delivered to the house and felt a bit sorry.

By the time we finished dinner and stepped outside, the air had turned chilly.

The temperature was dropping rapidly as the days went by, and soon I thought I’d be able to see my breath.

Feeling the cold wind, I slightly hunched my shoulders, and Master looked at me and asked,
“Cold?”

“A little.”

“Then let’s head inside before you catch a cold.”

I nodded slightly.

Master looked down at me with a loving gaze but then, as if he couldn’t hold back any longer, lowered his head and leaned in for a kiss.

“William, we’re outside…”

“So what? If I want to, I will.”

Conscious of our surroundings, I pushed Master away.

The city center was still crowded on a weekday evening.

The sun had set early, so it was dark around us, but the bright lights meant visibility wasn’t an issue.

“Didi, there’s actually a paparazzi over there.”

Master turned my body to face a certain direction.

Looking straight ahead, I really saw someone standing far off, holding a camera.

I turned back to Master and asked, “How long have you known?”

“Hmm. Maybe since we entered the department store earlier.”

It was much longer than I thought.

I hurriedly tried to recall.

Hopefully, no strange photos had been taken.

Memories of last night flashed before my eyes—the moments when I looked at Master with a mischievous gaze or secretly smelled him.

There were too many embarrassing scenes, and my face slowly paled.

“Why didn’t you tell me? I didn’t know…”

“I’ll tell you next time.”

Unaware of the gravity of the situation, Master just smiled as if I was cute for being surprised.

Meanwhile, I anxiously glanced at the camera the paparazzi was holding.

Then, Master whispered softly in my ear, “Didi, now that we’re a couple, don’t you want to create a proper scandal?”

My ears perked up without realizing it.

Not because of the seductive tone, but because of what he said, my heart pounded loudly.

“You know what to do, right? Didi.”

Seeing my flushed face, Master smirked.

He knew exactly how to persuade me.

Master always got cunning at moments like this, and it was teasingly frustrating.

Staring quietly at Master, I rose onto my tiptoes and lightly kissed him.

Pressing my lips firmly, Master gladly returned the kiss and grabbed my waist tightly.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and surrendered my body to him.

Pressing against Master’s solid frame, I could feel his warm body heat completely.

Closing my eyes gently, I focused all my senses on the soft sensation on my lips.

From afar, I thought I heard the click of a shutter.

A dating rumor with the CEO of the company I was going to work for.

The best welcome gift ever.

Late at night, we returned to the company.

Before entering the office, I ran into the secretary, and there was a small commotion.

The secretary was trembling with a sense of betrayal, asking where on earth Master had gone.

Without giving a detailed explanation, Master simply informed him that a dating rumor would soon break.

The secretary’s face turned pale from the shocking news.

After hurriedly making a phone call somewhere, the secretary rushed out of the office, and the commotion finally settled.

Master was now concentrating on work as usual.

In the quiet office, the only sounds were Master’s typing and the occasional rustling of paper.

To me, those sounds felt like a lullaby.

Having stayed up late last night, I kept nodding off.

My eyes closed involuntarily.

I couldn’t fall asleep while Master was working…

“Didi.”

“Yes!”

Half-asleep, I snapped to attention and replied in a proper voice.

Raising my head, I wiped the corner of my mouth with the back of my hand.

Luckily, I hadn’t drooled.

“Come here.”

“Yes.”

I got up from my seat and approached Master, who was sitting in his chair.

He grabbed my arm and pulled me toward him.

Yielding to his strength, I ended up sitting on Master’s lap.

“Haah…”

Master drew a deep breath as he held me close.

He looked exhausted and worn out.

Since he also went to bed late last night, it made sense that he was tired.

I raised my hand and gently patted his broad back.

Feeling my touch, Master hugged me tighter and leaned his body against mine.

After a while, he pulled his head away from my neck and muttered,
“Now I can breathe a little.”

With a much more refreshed face than before, Master started working while holding me in his arms.

I glanced toward one side of the desk.

There still seemed to be a lot of paperwork piled up; it didn’t look like he’d finish anytime soon.

Meanwhile, Master’s embrace was warm.

It even felt cozy, and my eyes kept closing.

I fought to hold back yawns, and tears welled up from trying so hard.

“Sleepy?”

Unable to fight the overwhelming drowsiness any longer, I nodded slightly when Master noticed my state.

“Yeah… a little.”

“You stayed up late yesterday. If you’re sleepy, you can rest your head on me.”

Though he said that, Master didn’t let go of me.

As soon as he gave me permission to sleep, the resolve to resist drowsiness melted away like snow.

My heavy eyelids shut quickly, and my vision went black.
