Vampire Castle.
Aiwei clutched her head, panic written all over her face.
How on earth was she supposed to survive in the hands of the strongest Vampire Clan Prince in history?
Aiwei glanced at the cream cake and desserts on the table, but she had no time to taste them now. She had just finished absorbing her memories, and fully understood her current situation.
To put it simply, she had transmigrated. One moment she was at an anime convention, the next she’d transmigrated to another world, turned into a girl, and become the princess sacrificed to the Vampire Clan Prince.
Aiwei sorted through the memories, piecing together what had led to this outcome.
In short, the original owner was the one chosen by the gods, the fated one, the only person who could end the age-old feud between the Vampire Clan and the Human Clan. She was also a princess of the Empire, one of the candidates for the next Empress.
Naturally, the original owner accepted the title of Hero and set out on a journey to defeat the Vampire Clan Prince.
During her travels, the original owner met companions who shared life and death, and gained the power and weapons needed to stand against the Vampire Clan Prince.
At last, she confronted the strongest Vampire Clan Prince, Fuluoxi, shouting words like courage, bonds, future, and dreams as she charged forward.
Then, Fuluoxi swatted her away like a roadside bug with a single motion.
No matter how hard the original owner tried, using every trick she had, she couldn’t defeat Fuluoxi. In the end, she had to accept her failure and retreat.
With the Hero defeated, all the Empire’s offensives against the Vampire Clan Prince crumbled instantly. So, the clever Empire immediately thought of a way to temporarily maintain peace.
That was to drug the Hero who had tried to defeat the Vampire Clan, tie her up, and send her to Fuluoxi as a gift for peace talks.
Yep, that’s about how it went.
Aiwei’s face twisted in frustration, her once-perky blue ahoge drooping, the whole of her looking utterly dejected.
Sacrificed to her former nemesis as a Blood Slave, she was not only to become her enemy’s servant, but also stood a good chance of being completely drained of blood and killed.
Betrayed by her most trusted companions, abandoned by the Empire she loved—no wonder the original owner had chosen suicide as an escape.
But girl, you might be free now, but how am I supposed to clean up this mess you left behind…
Aiwei slowly stood up from the floor, not knowing what else she could do to break out of this. Most likely, she was going to die here.
Aiwei recalled the original owner’s character setting.
Yeah, an unyielding Hero—though sacrificed to the Vampire Clan Prince, she remained strong and unmoved by her enemy’s temptations.
She hadn’t eaten for most of the day.
Aiwei stared at the cream cake on the table, thought of her likely doomed fate, and gritted her teeth.
It might not fit the character, but…
Given the situation, she might as well eat first.
Determined not to die hungry, Aiwei sat devoutly at the table, gently picked up the dainty cream cake on the plate, and put it in her mouth.
Her dull golden eyes instantly brightened.
This body hadn’t eaten in ages, and the aroma of the cake sent a wave of hunger crashing over her.
Aiwei ignored the Hero persona and went all in on the cake.
But just as she was devouring the cake, completely lost to the world, the tightly closed door suddenly swung open.
Aiwei’s hand froze mid-bite as she stared at the person who entered.
This was none other than the strongest Vampire Clan Prince in Aiwei’s memories—Fuluoxi.
Aiwei slowly swallowed the cake in her mouth, still holding another piece in her hand. For a moment, she didn’t know whether to eat or not to eat.
Fuluoxi was also taken aback seeing Aiwei eating cake.
In her memory, didn’t this Hero always refuse anything brought to her, with the resolve to starve herself to death?
Why did this…
Something seemed off?
Could it be that she was planning to escape again?
Fuluoxi’s gaze turned cold, tinged with killing intent as she stared at Aiwei.
Under that terrifying gaze, Aiwei’s hand holding the cake trembled slightly, her eyes blinking rapidly.
Crap, why did Fuluoxi come back so quickly?
Fuluoxi couldn’t figure out what this Hero was thinking, her eyes narrowing.
Aiwei was at a complete loss. She felt like she’d broken character.
Why was her luck so bad? Why did Fuluoxi have to come back now?
At least let her finish the cake and get back into character as the unyielding Hero before returning, damn it!
Now what was she supposed to do?
Aiwei looked at the cake in her hand, unsure whether to eat it or not.
This was awkward…
So, feeling she’d already blown her cover and there was no saving it, Aiwei gave up struggling and decided to just go with it.
Since the character was already ruined, might as well go all out.
She raised the cream cake and offered it to Fuluoxi, her face crumpled as she said:
“You, you want some cake? It’s really good…”
Fuluoxi walked up to Aiwei and looked at the cake she was offering. Knowing the Hero, there was probably something fishy about it.
Though Fuluoxi was confident this useless Hero couldn’t possibly harm her.
But the Hero could still try to gross her out—maybe the cake had been dropped on the floor and picked up again.
With that in mind, Fuluoxi mercilessly slapped the cake out of Aiwei’s hand. Aiwei watched as the cake traced a white arc through the air and landed on the floor with a splat.
“Cake…”
Aiwei stared at the remains of the cake on the floor, muttering.
That cake… was really tasty.
She should have wolfed it down before Fuluoxi could react.
Aiwei thought to herself.
Fuluoxi stared at Aiwei coldly.
Aiwei felt chills all over under her gaze, not knowing where to put her hands, nervously rubbing them together in front of her waist.
“So, are you still thinking of running away? Or are you thinking about your companions?”
Fuluoxi sneered.
The moment Aiwei heard Fuluoxi’s words, she shook her head like a rattle drum.
“I…I won’t run anymore…”
“Trust me.”
Aiwei stammered.
Fuluoxi snorted coldly at Aiwei. “Acting obedient won’t help you. Your companions have already paid the price for your escape attempt.”
Aiwei’s eyes narrowed as she looked at Fuluoxi.
In her mind, she could hear the words her companions had said after she was drugged and lost the ability to move.
“It’s because of you, you useless idiot, that we failed! This is all your fault! If it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t have kept hoping!”
“I told you from the start this little girl would amount to nothing. Just as I thought—totally useless.”
Aiwei’s eyelid twitched. She recalled what those so-called companions had done during their journey.
They’d treated the original owner like a beast of burden—were those even companions?
Useless at everything, but top tier at backseat driving. No skills, but always the first to criticize.
Were those really companions? The original owner sure wasn’t picky, even when starving.
Aiwei complained inwardly, so exasperated she couldn’t hide her contempt and annoyance.
When she realized it, she quickly put her pitiful expression back on.
Though Aiwei’s expression changed quickly, Fuluoxi still caught it.
Fuluoxi smiled at Aiwei. “So, Hero, how does it feel to know your companions are about to be killed by me?”
Fuluoxi asked on purpose, wanting to see Aiwei lose control in anger and pain, to see her try to kill Fuluoxi and end up crying on the ground.
She also wanted to see the proud Hero wag her tail and beg for her companions’ lives.
But Aiwei kept her head down, silent for a long time, before slowly opening her mouth.
“Uh…..”
“Wha…What a way to die, nya?”
