Chapter 29: Pure Black Is Romance

The sky was just beginning to brighten. The cat-girl Nuobai sat at the edge of the bed, wearing Bai Luxin’s nightgown.

Her expression was cold, and a lingering trace of exhaustion remained between her brows. Her heterochromatic eyes reflected the scene outside the window like a pond of icy water.

Nuobai covered her mouth, stifling a gasp.

‘You… you idiot…’

Bai Luxin rubbed the sole in a circle as if she were kneading a paw pad. Nuobai’s pupils dilated as she fought for control.

Just as her shaking legs found a moment to rest, Bai Luxin pulled her foot, dragging Nuobai into the blankets.

The nightgown rubbed against the sheets, bunching up.

Her lower half was pinned by Bai Luxin, whose face was pressed against Nuobai’s lower abdomen. Each breath hit her skin, causing Nuobai’s ears to prick up in irritation.

Her bashful, angry eyes held disbelief as she looked at Bai Luxin’s serene sleeping face.

Still covering her mouth with one hand while grabbing the edge of the bed with the other, Nuobai tried to move. It was no use; the hold was too firm.
