Chapter 61 : Angel Girl’s Rising Power

“Whew, you’ve learned two of my skills? That… the thing Angel Girl is wearing—did you awaken using that? I don’t know what it is, but… it’s amazing. I’m jealous.” 

“Haha, well, sometimes—no, quite often—I want to beat him up, but this guy is surprisingly useful.” 

It was understandable that they didn’t know what it was.

She had no intention of revealing that the mysterious device performing incredible tricks between her legs was actually a chastity belt.

She wanted to protect the made-up name “Angel Girl” to the end.

Iris clapped her skirt proudly and smiled.

It was a love-hate object, one she wanted to secretly throw away but also took pride in. 

“Seriously, an item that lets you learn other people’s skills—Angel Girl, you’re really blessed.” 

“Ahem, Rainbow Girl, anyway, make sure to try using the sword once you get home. Who knows? You might gain the offensive skill you’ve been hoping for…” 

“Thanks for the advice. Even if not that, I plan to try a bunch of things. Seeing your passion, Angel Girl, makes me want to put in more effort too.” 

After exiting the spider cave, Rainbow Girl cleared away the food that had been laid out at the entrance.

It was related to a skill called “This,” which supposedly helped the caster escape danger when in peril. 

‘So it wasn’t just a coincidence that I saved Rainbow Girl—it was thanks to that skill. Too bad I didn’t get it.’ 

Just as Iris was about to say goodbye after their brief encounter, Rainbow Girl held out her phone, suggesting they exchange numbers.

Iris hesitated, recalling the survival guide from Gyodam City that warned against trusting others too easily, lest you get stabbed in the back.

Sensing her hesitation, Rainbow Girl quickly changed her expression and handed her a piece of paper with her number written on it. 

“I know why you’re hesitating. They say today’s ally can be tomorrow’s enemy in the world of ability users… You should make a phone specifically for hero use. That way, even if you exchange numbers, it won’t be a problem.” 

“Oh, I didn’t know about that. I’ll make one as soon as I get home.” 

“Yes. Please take my number. Who knows? I might be able to help you one day. And if you use a hero phone, contacting each other won’t be a problem.” 

“Alright. Sounds good.” 

Iris put the paper Rainbow Girl gave her into her pocket and smiled brightly.

This spider cave mission had been rewarding in many ways. 

“Hmm hmm hmmm~” 

Back at home, Iris hummed as she undressed.

She had stopped by Teresa’s spring on the way back and wore a satisfied expression.

The reward she received for completing the mission had been substantial.

She also got achievement notifications.

With all the money she earned, she followed Rainbow Girl’s advice and bought a hero-only phone—after all, she might need to contact others while keeping her identity hidden.

She saved Rainbow Girl’s number and grinned. Maybe she’d made a hero friend.

Or at least a reliable ally she could call on when needed.

Feeling warm inside, she decided to go over her message log again.

She’d defeated the spider queen and gained several skills, so there had to be a lot of updates.

Just as expected, most of her skill levels had gone up.

One even evolved into a new form, confirming her earlier suspicions.

Others had steadily leveled up.

Most exciting was the whip skill’s new ability—she could now grab fleeing enemies or pick things up with it. 

‘I wonder if I could use it for movement too? Like wrapping it around a tree branch and swinging up… like a chimpanzee. I’ll have to test that out in the annex.’ 

She checked more messages and found that some of the newly acquired skills had also leveled up.

Raising both arms, she silently cheered. All that groping had paid off. Iris bounced in place with excitement, then calmed down and checked her final status screen:

Looking at her improved status screen made her emotional.

She now had ranged attack skills, detection skills, and even buff skills.

A bit of a shame she had no mental-type skills yet, but those weren’t easy to come by. 

‘Gotta have sex with Laika to learn that one. Heh, why does it have to be so complicated…’ 

She tried to frown, but couldn’t stop her lips from curling upward.

Tomorrow was the day she’d visit Laika’s photoshoot.

On the desk was the lacy underwear she bought from the lingerie shop—just in case.

She had made plenty of money, after all. 

‘It’s nothing. Just a little indulgence after making some cash. Totally not for Laika. Hmph.’ 

Just as she was about to fall asleep, she suddenly remembered something and summoned her chain pocket. 

When she said “Tangerine,” the pocket gave a pop and spit one out. It was rotten. 

‘No refrigeration function, huh? Too bad. If I level this up more, maybe I’ll be able to carry salad someday.’ 

Having gotten way too used to storing food between her legs, Iris tossed the rotten tangerine in the trash and dove into bed for tomorrow.

At the entrance of the building, she ran into Laika’s manager coming down the stairs.
