Chapter 10: duang!

“What? How↗ is↘ this↗ pos↘sible↘?”

Wu Jing stared at Lin Jiaxin, who wasn’t slowing down but speeding up instead, his face a mask of shock.

He couldn’t understand it. A person who had clearly reached their physical limit—why hadn’t she collapsed yet?

And the others, who had long since stopped paying attention to Lin Jiaxin, instinctively followed Wu Jing’s gaze when they heard his shout.

Then they saw that stubborn, lip-service diva Lin Jiaxin, eyes squeezed shut, wildly shaking her head, her ponytail spinning behind her like a helicopter rotor.

With just a few steps left, she was about to catch up to them!

Her awkward running style looked just like a zombie from some movie.

They unanimously agreed—this was a special technique for the strong.

No one noticed that Lin Jiaxin’s eyes were closed, and there was even a faint trace of white foam at the corner of her mouth…

“Come on, everyone, give it your all! We’re running empty-handed—we can’t let her actually lap us!”

They seemed motivated, shouting encouragement to each other, roaring, and picking up their pace, surging forward.

Half of Lin Jiaxin’s face was pressed flat against the ground, the only visible part being the other profile.

Her mouth was squished into a pout, her face covered in dust and plastic pellets.

White foam still trickled from the corner of her lips. Her eyes were shut tight. Her breathing was steady. A red welt was rising on her forehead.

But the most ridiculous part was her legs.

Her left leg was stretched straight. Her right leg was bent at an odd angle, resting on her left leg. Her body formed the shape of a “爿” character.

The crisp sound of “duang ————” seemed to still echo in the air.

The lamppost: vroom vroom vroom vroom.

The crowd: …

“Pfft… cough cough cough ————”

Someone couldn’t hold it in—they let out a snort, nearly laughing out loud.

But they quickly realized it wasn’t the right time, furiously biting their lips, using pain to suppress the smile.

“Pfft…”

“HAHAHAHAHA!”

“Oh my god, this is legendary, haha!”

Laughter is contagious. Once one person broke, everyone broke.

Some slapped their thighs laughing. Others clutched their stomachs, crouching on the ground, unable to stand.

There were those who couldn’t straighten their backs from laughing and had to lean on a lamppost.
