“Magical Girl?!”
The exclamation from the broadcast simultaneously displayed the inner thoughts of those present and the children watching in front of the big screen.
“Why is there a Magical Girl at Sixth Middle School?!”
With the incredulous, anxious cries from the broadcast, Ye Xingling’s movements didn’t pause for a moment.
Ice flowers spread from the soles of her leather shoes across the ground, coating the stone path with a thin layer of ice. When they reached the feet of the three terrorists, the ice climbed up their calves like vines, firmly binding their legs.
This was inspiration Ye Xingling got from seeing that youth who fought the humanoid magic beast and his strange combo magic, but at this moment her purpose was just to control those two terrorists. As for whether to follow up with Ice Spikes… killing them had never crossed her mind. She was still only a Magical Girl who had just entered the Light-Containing Level. Even with her magic power at full capacity, she instinctively thought that simply restraining them would be enough.
“Damn Magical Girl!”
A loud thud of a fist hitting a table came from the broadcast.
The appearance of a Magical Girl had clearly disrupted the rhythm of the person in the broadcast room. Some cluttered sounds came through the speakers, and at the same time, Ye Xingling saw from a distance that the big screen displaying her real-time image had shut down in response.
Clearly, these terrorists hadn’t expected to be so unlucky as to have a Magical Girl attending school at the location of their attack.
As for why they were unlucky…
Well, Magical Girls were very protective of their own. There weren’t many Magical Girls to begin with, and whenever one got into trouble, their seniors would always come to help.
Just like when Jin Ming had Qiluo arrive promptly to back her up after a fight, precious Magical Girls always grew under the wings of their predecessors.
And appearing in their school was the newest and youngest member of Satellite City’s Magical Girls—the newly promoted Magical Girl Shuanghua.
It was easy to imagine that it wouldn’t be impossible for the entire Satellite City Magical Girl Society to mobilize just to protect their adorable junior.
Back to Ye Xingling’s perspective.
After she used her magic to restrain the terrorists, the Superpower User youth broke free from their control in indignation, strode angrily to one of them, and yanked off his hood, revealing the face of a black-haired, black-eyed boy.
“Zhao XX, I knew it was you! You could even lay a hand on your own brothers?! These are all classmates you’ve lived and studied with! Have we ever done anything to deserve this from you?!”
The youth grabbed him by the collar. The Zhao boy, intimidated by his shouting, dared not look at him and turned his head away without saying a word.
“Say something! Talk! Why did you do this?!”
The Superpower User roared, questioning his familiar classmate. Unconsciously, two streams of tears rolled down his face. Perhaps the burning pain from his injuries was already trivial to him in the face of this truth.
Ye Xingling watched this scene with a heavy heart, but at that moment, what mattered more were the timed bombs. Even if she couldn’t defeat the large number of terrorists, she would do everything within her power.
“What were we supposed to do?! The Human Alliance found out about us half-blood elves. Who knows what they plan to do with us? What about my family? What choice did I have?!”
The boy couldn’t withstand his classmate’s interrogation any longer. Agitated, he yanked at his frozen legs, desperately trying to throw himself at the battered Superpower User, but to no avail. His frozen feet couldn’t support such a movement; instead, his legs buckled, his ankles bending at an impossible angle as he collapsed to his knees, shrieking hysterically at him.
Seeing this, Ye Xingling shrank back slightly, said nothing, and instead pulled one of the other two bewildered terrorists. She gathered an Ice Spike in her hand and pointed it directly at his temple, making him beg for mercy repeatedly.
“I, I was wrong! Don’t kill me, sis! I was wrong!”
Damn it, weren’t Magical Girls supposed to be kind, pure-hearted people? Why is she pointing something so dangerous at me? He thought. The elf elders were right—Magical Girls are just a bunch of brats who abuse the power they got!
Even so, the object emitting wispy white cold was real. Now that he was restrained, he could only be at her mercy.
“Take me to where you hid the bombs. You should know where they all are, right? If you don’t…”
“I know, I know! Don’t kill me! I’ll take you!”
Only a high school kid like this would be scared by Ye Xingling’s completely non-lethal threat. There was some truth to the public’s assessment of Magical Girls, but it was the fully grown Magical Girls who were truly terrifying.
“Where are the students and teachers?”
“In the meeting room and lobby on the first floor of the teaching building! And some are in the activity room!”
“Which place has more people?”
Ye Xingling frowned, glancing at the two who were still panting and glaring at each other, neither giving an inch.
Counting the time, she didn’t have much time left to deal with the bombs. She could only prioritize ensuring that not all the timed bombs in the areas with people would explode—saving as many as she could.
“The teaching building…”
“Then take me there now!”
Ye Xingling snapped her fingers with her long fingers pressed together—crack—and the Ice Spike and the ice on the terrorist’s feet shattered in response. Seeing the terrorist’s dumbfounded expression, she gave him a sharp kick, and he began to lead the way.
Ye Xingling’s choice was undoubtedly correct… and at the same time, it played right into the terrorist’s hands.
Remember, the broadcast hall was in the teaching building, and the place Ye Xingling chose to go was also the teaching building. This meant he could lead this girl right to their boss’s location, letting the boss deal with this reckless Magical Girl.
For doing something like this, they had already made up their minds to die. Even if they didn’t want to, the Human Alliance had forced them onto this path. He didn’t want to die… so this Magical Girl would have to go instead.
The hooded boy flashed a sinister expression. He walked to a pillar outside the teaching building and pointed at a schoolbag lying on the ground.
“Here, this is the first one.”
He wanted to see how this girl would handle these bombs. He didn’t believe a Magical Girl who looked so young could perfectly disarm this bomb, even though Magical Girls always seemed ageless.
