Her mouth was completely full.
The girl-sized White Dew naturally couldn’t contain a single emission from the Yin-Yang Body.
Much of it was stuck in her throat, held aloft by lingli, trembling slightly within her open mouth, on the verge of…
This normally cool and aloof, untouchably noble face now presented a stark contrast to its usual state.
The girl’s slender figure, her distant and chilly aura, combined with her open mouth, assaulted Jiang Huai’s vision, making it hard for him to look away, his gaze fixed tightly.
As the saying goes, a thief never leaves empty-handed; lovers spending time together often leave behind a little something.
Suddenly, a faint sound came from inside the hall.
It was footsteps, very light, yet exceptionally clear in the silence outside the hall.
White Dew was frightened and shrank into Jiang Huai’s embrace.
Her usually calm blue eyes now held a hint of panic, her eyelashes fluttering lightly, like a startled little white dragon.
She instinctively hid against him, seeking shelter, afraid of being seen.
Yet, even so.
Her mouth remained open towards Jiang Huai.
As if showing off her obedient achievement, she nestled in his arms like a little bird, tilting her face up, slightly parting her lips, letting the fullness within be completely exposed to his view.
Jiang Huai gently held her shoulders, able to feel them trembling slightly, her dragon tail hanging limp and lifeless behind her.
He listened carefully; inside the hall, it was just White Sandalwood moving about, seemingly fetching something.
Outside the hall was currently empty, not even a trace of dragons flying in the sky, only the biting cold wind remained.
Most people needed to announce themselves before entering the White Dragon Hall, and with White Dew’s strength, she couldn’t possibly have missed any signs.
“Alright, so good.”
Jiang Huai lifted her chin and praised her, just as she desired.
At this moment, the north wind howled.
The cold wind was sharp, sweeping in from the distance, skimming over the glazed tile roofs of the White Dragon Palace, over the white jade carved railings, making a sound like a sob.
Within the wind were fine particles of snow, refracting a cold light under the sun, landing on the palace’s flying eaves, on the white marble steps, on the vermilion pillars carved with white dragon totems.
The White Dragon Palace, sacred and solemn.
The cold wind howled, yet could not disperse this sanctity.
And now, outside this sacred White Dragon Palace, within the cold wind the White Dragon Clan had enjoyed for generations.
The White Dragon Clan Leader was obediently leaning in his embrace.
That face, usually as cool and lofty as the moon, was now slightly tilted upward, blue eyes hazy, lips slightly parted.
The sight of her offering herself to him like this formed a stark contrast with the sacred palace and the biting cold wind.
It was an intertwining of the sacred and the sensual, a coexistence of pride and submission.
White Dew kept her mouth open, not closing it.
Right before Jiang Huai’s eyes, she watched as the fullness within gradually disappeared.
Held aloft by lingli, it slowly slid down, eventually vanishing without a trace.
Only after it had all disappeared did she finally close her mouth.
Then, she said softly, her voice carrying a hint of regret:
“It feels a bit wasteful.”
Jiang Huai asked, “How is it wasteful?”
White Dew shot him a glance.
That glance held a mix of reproach and a sense of ‘you wouldn’t understand.’
She didn’t explain further, just pursed her lips, savoring something.
After a moment of silence.
She suddenly spoke, her voice returning to its usual cool, detached tone, though with a faint huskiness:
“Jiang Huai, when we’re outside, I won’t act the same as in private.”
With that, she gently pushed with her slender hand, extricating herself from Jiang Huai’s embrace.
She walked with proud steps, her holy white dress flowing, towards the Dragon Throne.
Her gait was elegant and composed, the hem of her dress swaying gently behind her, like an immortal fairy strolling under the moonlight.
Her back straightened, her chin lifted slightly, instantly transforming back into the unapproachable White Dragon Clan Leader.
White Sandalwood had already risen and yielded her position as soon as White Dew appeared.
She stood quietly to the side, hands clasped, posture respectful.
Lai Jia, meanwhile, trotted over with small steps to Jiang Huai’s side, hugging his leg, glancing sideways at her mother.
Her large, pale blue eyes were full of curiosity and caution, with a hint of longing for affection.
White Sandalwood began explaining the work she had just done, today’s clan affairs, reports from various places, matters requiring the Clan Leader’s decision.
White Dew lightly cleared her throat.
She didn’t say much, listening quietly, occasionally covering her mouth with her hand, her movements graceful and natural, proud and cool.
“Alright, you’re dismissed here. Go cultivate,” White Dew said, covering her mouth, her tone indifferent.
White Sandalwood bowed and then strode away, letting out a sigh of relief.
That sigh was very light, but it didn’t escape Jiang Huai’s notice.
In the eyes of Jiang Huai and Jianjia, White Dew was not frightening.
Even in private, she was quite submissive and obedient to Jiang Huai; in unseen moments, she would show maternal affection towards Jianjia, caring deeply.
But in the eyes of the White Dragon Clan, White Dew was not ordinary.
She wasn’t an elder who had watched them grow up, but a super powerhouse from the Primordial Era.
Unattached, with a cold demeanor, formidable methods, commanding the respect of the entire clan.
White Sandalwood sometimes lamented: Why did it have to be during her time as Saintess that the Clan Leader was an ancient ancestor? Sometimes, standing beside her, she hardly dared to breathe.
“You still need to soak in the Cold Pool every day.”
After White Sandalwood left, White Dew arranged the official documents on the table, her voice slightly hoarse as she spoke to Jianjia.
“Last time, I had the Saintess and the Elders watch over you. Why did you run off?”
“Can’t you be controlled anymore? Or what is it?”
She paused, her tone becoming more serious:
“Before I left, did I not tell you that Body Forging is crucial?”
“After you wake up, you need to increase the intensity, soak every day?”
Jianjia hid behind Jiang Huai, head bowed, saying nothing.
Her small figure concealed behind her father, only half her head visible, strands of hair gently fluttering in the wind.
A cold silence fell between mother and daughter.
No one spoke.
After a long while, Jianjia finally lowered her head and said, her voice small and filled with grievance:
“I stayed there, but no one paid attention to me. I missed you.”
“You weren’t with me, and my father wasn’t either.”
White Dew was taken aback.
Her fingers lightly tapped on the tabletop, a gentle motion, once, twice.
She seemed to recall something, remembering many things from the Primordial Era.
Those lonely, ignored days.
Those times spent soaking alone in the Cold Pool, waiting for people who would never return.
Those days when clan members and beings from the Five Provinces were sacrificing themselves every moment.
White Dew couldn’t be as harsh as her own mother, saying your life now is good enough, at least not like ours back then.
After all, back then, she had cultivated in sorrow within the Cold Pool just like that.
White Dew glanced at Jiang Huai, then quickly looked away.
“I understand.”
Her voice softened slightly: “You can go stay at the Nine Heavens Palace for this period. Body Forging still needs to be done.”
She paused: “As for how you cultivate, I don’t understand.”
Jianjia indeed needed to start cultivating.
She didn’t need Yin Yuan, but she needed the Marks of the Five Great Dragon Clans; she needed the Dragon Race to leave a flower of the Five Elements on a designated place on her body.
“Alright, I’ll go find the Marks.”
Jiang Huai picked up Jianjia and asked White Dew:
“For the White Dragon Clan’s, who should we entrust it to?”
White Dew thought for a moment.
She picked up the Communication Jade beside her, infused it with lingli, and said softly:
“White Sandalwood, come back.”
