“Got it.” Movira replied. She turned, pushed open the door, and walked out, leaving Seraphina alone in the room—worried and completely helpless.
Sigh… I just hope nothing goes wrong… With no one else around, Seraphina quickly grew bored.
She looked left and right. The book she had been reading earlier was already finished and returned. There didn’t seem to be anything else to read. “Ah!” She suddenly remembered the books still hidden under her bed. But… should I read them?
Outside the room, Movira lowered her head to look at her own now-slender, fair hands.
Although she had absolute confidence in her magic, transforming into the appearance of the person she cherished most still felt incredibly special to her.
She couldn’t resist gently kneading the knuckles and back of her other hand with her fingers, savoring the real texture of this body.
The skin was delicate, the bones petite—completely different from her own.
And these clothes… they were the real ones Seraphina had worn. Now they clung directly to her skin.
She casually produced a mirror. The reflection clearly showed “Seraphina’s” face.
It was an unconscious little gesture. This was the person she had longed for, now standing before her in this form. Even though it was ultimately fake, she still gazed at it for a while—perhaps with a touch of obsessive scrutiny—leaning in to trace every detail.
Only then did Movira suppress the emotions in her heart. She turned and headed toward the cafeteria.
Along the way, early-rising students spotted “Professor Seraphina” and respectfully stopped to greet her.
“Good day, Professor Seraphina!”
By nature, Movira would have simply nodded or ignored them entirely.
But the moment she considered doing so, Seraphina’s usual gentle expression surfaced in her mind. So she copied the way she remembered Seraphina acting and gave a light nod in reply.
“Mm, good day to you too.”
Even though she tried her best to suppress her own aura, the imposing presence that radiated from her very bones could not be hidden by willpower alone.
After the students walked away, they whispered among themselves. “The professor today… seems a little different?” “She feels sharper.” “Yeah… she seems more dignified?”
Movira didn’t bother listening to the quiet murmurs. She went straight to the cafeteria. Just as she finished buying breakfast and was about to leave, a familiar voice sounded beside her.
Dekalorin approached with a smile and casually patted “Seraphina” on the shoulder. “Slept in, huh? Seraphina? Why are you up so early today? And why are you alone? Movira… she wouldn’t…”
Clearly, Dekalorin had not immediately recognized who this “Seraphina” really was. Her gesture was completely casual.
However, as she studied the slightly off-feeling “Seraphina,” their eyes met.
Her smile froze for a split second. Then—“Ah?!” Dekalorin let out a startled cry. Though not loud, it still drew a few glances in the quiet cafeteria.
“Cough, cough!” Despite her momentary loss of composure, she quickly covered it with a cough. She then leaned close to “Seraphina’s” ear and whispered, “Huh? You’re Movira, right? Why did you turn into Seraphina’s appearance?”
“Just getting used to it,” Movira answered in Seraphina’s voice. “Looks like the effect is pretty good.”
Dekalorin took half a step back and looked her up and down before nodding. “It really is… I almost fell for it myself. It’s indistinguishable from the real thing. Unless someone knows Seraphina’s daily habits extremely well, they’d never spot any flaw.”
Movira raised an eyebrow—an expression that would never appear on Seraphina’s face—and her tone shifted back to her own arrogant flair. “Of course. Who do you think I am?”
Dekalorin waved her hand and turned serious again to emphasize the important matter. “Hurry back so the breakfast doesn’t get cold. I’ll come find you two in a bit. Just follow my instructions then. This won’t be difficult at all.”
Movira nodded without another word and headed back.
When she pushed open the door, she immediately saw Seraphina sitting on the bed. Her cheeks were once again flushed with an unnatural red, and her gaze darted about restlessly.
Seeing her return seemed to startle her.
This odd behavior felt strange to Movira, though she couldn’t quite put her finger on why.
“I bought breakfast. Eat it while it’s hot.” Movira placed the food on the table, her tone completely normal.
“Uh… okay. But… Sister, could you change back? It feels really weird.” Movira was still wearing her appearance, and hearing her own voice like this made Seraphina extremely uncomfortable.
“Also… give me back my clothes.”
“This is your body! Wait, wait, wait?! Don’t take everything off!”
“What do you mean ‘everything’? I’m still wearing something underneath. Besides—”
In the end, Movira changed back. No matter how it happened, Seraphina felt deeply embarrassed. Still, her clothes now carried Movira’s familiar body scent, and breathing it in brought a strange sense of comfort.
Not long after breakfast, a knock sounded at the door. Dekalorin arrived right on time.
“It’s almost time. We’ve got about an hour.” She stepped into the room, her gaze sweeping between the two of them before settling on Movira.
“Movira, get ready. In a bit you’ll turn into Seraphina. Saint Eustacia will take you over. Seraphina, you come with me. We’ll go to my office. Hardly anyone goes there.”
“Alright.” The two answered in unison.
But Seraphina still looked nervous. She glanced up at Movira.
“Um… Sister, are you really okay with this? Will anyone… notice?”
Movira walked over to her. She had already transformed into “Seraphina” again, even imitating the eyes almost perfectly.
“Leave it to me. You just stay with her and wait for me to come back!”
To truly reassure Seraphina, Movira used her own voice.
“Heh… this is so weird,” Dekalorin muttered after watching the scene, unable to hold back the comment.
With that, Movira left the room.
Dekalorin watched her go, then beckoned to Seraphina. “Come on, we should head out too. Don’t worry. I know her well. Her temper isn’t the best, but she’s very measured when it counts.”
As she spoke, Dekalorin turned her head and gave a meaningful glance at the receding figure.
Movira… I’m really looking forward to what kind of groundbreaking results you’ll deliver.
