Enya looked back behind her, controlling her tail to move into her hand.
She pressed down lightly, stroking the scales of the dragon tail.
The feeling was very strange.
It was an itchy sensation that made her want to press her legs together, and the black dragon scales shimmering with a faint iridescent light looked ethereal.
The Dragon Bloodline within her body seemed to have advanced another step.
“Sigh…”
After a light sigh, Enya took her hand off her tail.
The slender, deep-colored dragon tail swished twice behind her before dropping down, swaying slightly about 6 or 7 centimeters above the ground.
Enya narrowed her eyes slightly and muttered to herself.
‘It seems that absorbing the Divine Fragment, completely finishing the Dragonification, and escaping Aljinghuanya’s control needs to be put on the agenda.’
Although there were many strange things about this situation, Enya had no other choice for now.
After making her decision, she did not dwell on it any longer; Enya had always been a decisive person.
A faint silver light appeared on her body.
In an instant, the room was missing one silver-haired Dragon Princess and gained one beautiful lady with silver hair and blue eyes.
Enya had transformed back into her avatar, Phil.
After assuming this human form, she looked down at her own exquisite body, let out another light sigh, and laughed as if mocking herself.
‘My figure is a bit too good; I still prefer being more of a young girl.’
If Antiros hadn’t shown her that house in Tarlonde, Enya wouldn’t have had such thoughts right now.
“Forget it, forget it…”
She pulled back the smile on her face and walked toward the door of the room.
Downstairs, Julie and her two colleagues had spent almost another day with nothing to do.
Enya hadn’t come down since she went upstairs.
It wasn’t that they hadn’t thought about looking for her; they were also afraid that Lady Phil might need help or that something had happened.
However, they ultimately didn’t go up, not wanting to disturb Enya’s rest.
Julie had very sharp ears; her hearing had been exceptional since she was a child.
While the few of them were leaning on the counter, chatting idly out of boredom, she suddenly became alert and looked toward the stairs.
The woman beside her asked Julie with a puzzled expression.
“Julie, what’s wrong?”
“Be quiet…”
Julie made a shushing gesture.
At the same time, she got off her chair, straightened her curvaceous body, and adopted the most professional posture and expression.
The others understood as well, following her lead by standing straight and walking toward the stairs.
From upstairs came the faint sound of high heels clicking on the stone floor.
The sound gradually became clearer, indicating that the person making it was approaching them step by step.
Enya held the handrail and walked down slowly.
Seeing her employees already waiting at the foot of the stairs to greet her, she covered her mouth and chuckled, saying something strange.
“Hard work.”
“No, it’s not hard at all!”
Julie raised her head with a sweet smile, her gaze firm.
There were probably very few bosses in the world like Lady Phil. Not only did she pay well, but the work was simply watching the shop. Furthermore, this shop was rarely even open 1 day a week!
Enya teased her with a smile.
“Look at you. Why aren’t you saying those flattering things you used to say back at the Adventurers’ Guild now that you’re with me?”
“Ah?”
Julie was stunned for a moment, but she was worthy of being in the service industry; her mind was very quick. In just a short moment, she reacted.
The smile on her face grew more brilliant as she hurried to Enya’s side, supporting Enya’s hand, and said cautiously.
“It is Julie’s honor to work for Lady Phil. I’m too happy for words, so how could it be hard?”
“Oh.”
Enya’s smile faded slightly. She tapped Julie’s head with her other hand.
“I’m just teasing you, haha.”
Julie and the other two fell silent for a moment. This joke wasn’t funny at all; it was actually a warning to them.
The three of them paused for a while and then bowed their waists one after another.
“We are sorry, Lady Phil…”
“I wasn’t blaming you. Fine, fine, all of you look up. You aren’t allowed to bow and scrape here; I don’t like it,” Enya said indifferently.
The three women quickly straightened up, and Julie tucked away her fawning smile. Enya led them toward the backyard. While walking, she took out a book. The cover of the book had no writing on it, and the paper was very ordinary, looking quite old.
Enya placed the book in Julie’s hands and instructed her.
“Study this yourself first. Once you’ve learned it, teach the other two. Oh, and remember to find some more people to bring over for me.”
The task she gave Julie was very simple. As the most primitive production material of the Alchemy Workshop, the goal was to make this institution truly begin to function through the process of “self-replication.”
Julie held the thin book. Although it was a very light book, she could feel how heavy it was. She swallowed hard, pursed her red lips, and expressed her determination to Enya.
“Lady Phil, please rest assured. I will definitely not fail your expectations and will surely do my best to complete the task you’ve assigned!”
“Mhm, do your task well.”
Enya nodded calmly. Finally, she left the three of them with a graceful view of her back as she walked out through the small door of the backyard.
Julie held the Book of Alchemy in her arms, staring at the door where Enya’s figure had disappeared for a long time without snapping out of it.
“Lady Phil is so dominant…”
“Yeah.”
“A mysterious and beautiful lady. we must hold onto this thigh tightly. Anyway, I don’t plan on letting go even if it kills me.”
The three of them chatted amongst themselves.
After Enya walked out of the Alchemy Workshop, she paced slowly along the streets of the North Gate, but she wasn’t in a hurry to go back just yet.
Changing her pace, she walked to the front of a large courtyard. A sturdy female warrior saw her and greeted her.
“Mrs. Phil, you’re here…”
“Mhm.”
Enya nodded slightly.
After the door was opened, she walked inside with practiced ease, not needing the female warrior guarding the gate to lead the way.
As Enya entered the hall, she saw a woman lying on a lounge chair, leisurely enjoying her afternoon.
Anna turned her head to look at Enya. After a moment of surprise, she quickly got up from the lounge chair and ran over.
“Mrs. Phil, why are you here?”
“…”
Enya rolled her eyes at her.
“Anna, call me ‘Lady’.”
“Oh, oh, Lady Phil, hahahaha…”
Anna laughed and changed how she addressed Enya. At the same time, she reached Enya’s side, took her arm, and led her to sit down in the scenic courtyard. She was about to go get some tea but was stopped by Enya, who made her sit down as well.
Enya glanced at Anna. She no longer had the rough, weather-beaten look from her days as an Adventurer. Her skin had become hydrated, and her outfit was increasingly youthful and beautiful. At first glance, she looked like a stunning and glamorous noblewoman.
Anna’s natural looks weren’t bad; with a little makeup, she became a minor beauty. It could only be said that money truly could nourish a woman’s appearance.
Enya asked.
“How have things been on your end lately?”
“I…”
When asked this, Anna looked troubled. Fortunately, Enya wasn’t her superior on the surface, so she could speak freely to vent her inner frustrations.
Earlier, Enya had Anna take a large amount of property and land deeds at the North Gate to run some kind of business, but Anna hadn’t done anything.
“If there are places you can’t use, can’t you just rent them out to others?”
Enya rolled her eyes at her, mocking her for being a fool who didn’t know how to use money. With so many houses under her hand, if she didn’t know what to do with them, why not collect rent?
“I…”
Anna felt a bit of a sudden realization. She couldn’t think of any good profitable shops to open here at the Red Pine City North Gate. The spending power of the commoners was very poor, and the Adventurers’ money wasn’t easy to earn either. She hadn’t been able to think of any solution at all.
In fact, Anna hadn’t even realized that collecting rent was an option.
‘Have I already reached the age to be a landlady?’
Anna had such a question in her heart as she looked down at herself.
Her figure wasn’t bad, but sitting next to Enya, it wasn’t quite enough.
Anna glanced at Enya sitting across from her, pursed her lips, and asked.
“Lady Phil, how is your figure so good? Is there some Potion? Or do you have some special dietary habits?”
“Oh? You really want to know?”
Hearing her ask this, Enya acted mysterious, while a wicked smile faintly tugged at the corners of her mouth.
Sweat broke out on Anna’s forehead, and she quickly shook her head, saying forget it, forget it.
Seeing that Anna didn’t plan on listening anymore, Enya didn’t continue. Instead, she switched to another topic and continued.
“Cough, cough. Ain said she wants you to take a trip to the Zephyr Empire to broaden your horizons. You can just use that sum of money for your expenses.”
“Eh?!”
Anna looked shocked and nearly bounced out of her chair. She grabbed Enya’s hand and asked in disbelief.
“Lady Phil, is that true?”
“Of course it’s true.”
Enya pouted. How could it be false when she was the one saying it?
Anna sat back down firmly. After looking at Enya for a good while, she really couldn’t help herself and asked Enya.
“Senior Ain… she isn’t really keeping me, is she? I feel like I can’t do anything right; instead, I’m just spending her money.”
Enya was choked by these words. She hadn’t expected their relationship to somehow turn into this, but she truly didn’t have that intention.
“Cough, cough, it shouldn’t be…”
“Oh, I see.”
Anna lowered her head with a look of disappointment. She actually wished it were like that; that way, perhaps she would be some special person favored by fate.
“Whew…”
Anna took a deep breath. After recovering, she asked Enya: “Lady Phil, are you going to the Zephyr Empire with me?”
She had always yearned for the Zephyr Empire. Being able to travel on public funds and even go see Milly naturally made her very happy.
However, Anna was also a bit timid. Her knowledge of the Zephyr Empire was all hearsay, and she really hoped to have a companion for this trip.
“Me?”
Enya turned her head. It was impossible for her to go to the Zephyr Empire in the short term. She wouldn’t even be willing to take a loop around the border.
“Anna, I’m not like you. I’m already a mother. How could I have free time to go on a long trip? I have to stay home and look after the children.”
Enya teased herself with a smile, but in fact, she would have to go on another long trip in 1 or 2 days, and it would be for a long time.
After Anna heard her words, she interpreted them with a different meaning.
That was, once a person has a child, they are easily tied down, henceforth restricted, unable to escape the prison of daily trifles.
Therefore, Anna didn’t want to get married for the time being, let alone have children. Now, as she spent her days drinking tea and basking in the sun, how could she be so foolish as to look for someone to marry?
‘That would be betraying Senior Ain, and I will absolutely never betray her!’
Enya saw that she seemed to have misunderstood but didn’t explain anything. she was always too lazy to explain things she had said. Let others understand it however they wanted to.
After finishing up, Enya went home. But before going home, she first went to pick up the new clothes she had prepared for Rosily and Estelle.
Next was just the waiting…
