“Evil God Lady…”

Liya stood up and knelt on one knee. 

She sensed the overwhelming power and immediately recognized that the Isabella standing before her had temporarily regained all her memories, reverting to the former “her.”

Isabella opened her eyes. 

This time, her pupils had completely transformed into the evil god’s form.

She sat behind the desk, studying Liya, then rose and walked over to stand directly in front of her.

“You’re lying, Liya.

You’re merely an Apostle who follows Gabriella. You only want to help her erase the doubts in my heart.”

The evil god’s voice burned with fury, like a live volcano on the verge of eruption. 

The calm surface merely concealed the molten lava raging within.

She had long harbored complaints about Liya.

Last time, Isabella had a golden opportunity to make Gabriella fall completely.

Liya had gotten in the way.

Gabriella’s Apostle transformation had been delayed for so long because of emotional entanglements.

Originally, even the evil god had believed everything was under control—that Gabriella would become a perfectly obedient wife, even after regaining the Goddess’s memories.

So she had thought it didn’t matter. But during the meal, the evil god had overheard Gabriella’s words.

—She’s trying to undermine me?

Perhaps Gabriella had not fully submitted after all.

“In the end, you’re still nothing but a heavenly oracle envoy.”

The evil god’s eyes narrowed coldly.

Liya had a premonition.

If she said the wrong thing, the evil god would instantly strip away her will and turn her into a puppet.

Yet when she recalled the silver-haired girl’s unnaturally wide sapphire eyes gazing at the few strands of golden light in the sky, she answered resolutely:

“I have no proof. I lack the power to produce any proof… But Evil God Lady, I swear I am not lying.”

“Evil God Lady… Gabriella did all of this because she loves you deeply. That is also why ‘she’ chose love over war.”

“Loves me deeply?”

The evil god tilted her head with a cold smile.

“Yes, she loves me so much that she killed me, then spent the rest of her days guarding my tomb in regret. Is that it?”

But the punishment Liya expected never came. Those cross-shaped pupils were chilling, as if they could see through everything.

The evil god simply stared at her with icy detachment.

“You are already a pitiful creature who has submitted to darkness, heavenly oracle envoy. There is nothing left in your body that can be further corrupted.”

If this had been the evil god from countless years ago, any Apostle or subordinate who dared offend her consciousness like this would have been dominated long ago.

She would not kill anyone, but she would use terrifying methods to control and torment them.

In Isabella’s eyes, Liya saw a flicker of hesitation.

She said nothing more, afraid of provoking the evil god further.

The evil god Isabella had no desire to waste time.

From “her” memories, Liya still carried a fragment of Gabriella’s power.

She could settle accounts with her later.

The evil god decided to find Gabriella herself.

She was furious.

The evil god Isabella had never believed Gabriella could possibly save her.

In her memories, Gabriella had been no different from any other heavenly oracle envoy.

She was simply stronger.

It seemed that because the evil god posed a threat to humanity, these heavenly oracle envoys came looking for trouble every day. 

They all followed some [Mission] of unknown origin, protecting humans.

She had once thought Gabriella was the only one brave enough to descend to the bottom of the abyss. 

Her kind probes, her exchanges, and her warm expressions had made the evil god believe she was different.

But in the end, the evil god regretted it.

Gabriella blamed Olivia’s death entirely on her and ignited an all-out war between the heavenly oracle envoys and the evil god.

In that war, the evil god had been personally run through by Gabriella.

She still remembered the pain in her chest, the confusion and sorrow that eventually turned into vengeful rage.

If she could be reborn, if she could come back to life, the evil god Isabella would carve Gabriella into a thousand pieces.

She would even turn Gabriella into her own puppet—her [Apostle].

Then she would make Gabriella personally conquer humanity and trample underfoot everything she had once protected.

—That was what the evil god Isabella wanted most.

At the thought, a crimson-purple light flashed in the evil god’s eyes. 

Darkness spread outward with her at the center.

“Gabriella… submit to me.”

With a single thought, the evil god began channeling the power within Gabriella’s [Curse Ring].

A controlled Gabriella would instantly enter a state of absolute obedience. 

She could be made to do anything. 

She would be completely at the evil god’s mercy—even humiliated by carrying her child.

However, she did not continue issuing commands, such as ordering Gabriella to come to her side immediately.

Gabriella was pregnant.

The evil god realized she should not be worrying like this.

A demon who had conceived a child would not normally entertain thoughts of betraying her mate. The child in her belly was the most unbreakable shackle of her life—an humiliation and an eternal brand of curse.

Yet she suddenly felt joy at the fact that Gabriella was carrying her child.

The evil god did not understand. Had she planted her “seed” inside Gabriella’s body because she liked her, rather than to humiliate her?

Have I fallen in love with Gabriella?

Impossible. How could it be you… impossible.

At that moment, the evil god sensed that the Curse Ring’s reaction was not inside the residential palace, but far to the south—across the Black Stone Mountains, in the human camp.

It seemed to be where the human army was stationed.

Gabriella would never betray me. She is even carrying my child now.

She acted spoiled with me every day, calling me Master.

She has been dyed my color, completely turned into a dangerous demon.

So why is she seeking out humans again?!

A possibility suddenly occurred to her.

If the Goddess was about to restore her Holy Body, she would partially slip out of control.

She stood up. Obsession filled her vacant eyes as she began to chant silently.

“Gabriella… you must be mine. You must.

Mine…”

The office door opened.

A tall maid walked in. 

Her long legs were wrapped in white stockings, creating a stark contrast against the shadow-eroded floor. 

Her silver-white hair looked like something only a holy being should possess. 

The pair of horns—seven-tenths similar to Gabriella’s—and her demonic pupils made the maid resemble a desecrated goddess.

Her maid apron cinched her waist, perfectly accentuating her curves. 

On her gentle face, cherry lips parted and closed.

“Evil God Lady.”
