If you have a clear conscience, you’re not afraid of ghosts knocking at your door. Su Yao couldn’t be bothered to figure out how Luo Yu knew about it. She rested her elbow on her thigh, propping her head up with both palms as she watched the people in the distance, ignoring Luo Yu altogether.
Left alone, Luo Yu stopped pretending. She leaned close to Su Yao’s ear and whispered quietly.
“ManTou-sensei, don’t you want to try it for yourself? Some things just can’t be written by imagination alone. You have to experience them to get the real flavor. So, ManTou-sensei, you absolutely must turn your real experiences into words and post them!”
Su Yao puffed out her cheeks and glared at Luo Yu in frustration.
“But I already told you, I’m not ManTou-sensei.”
After spending so much time together, they both knew each other’s tempers well. For the most part, there was a limit. They only occasionally crossed the line. Luo Yu knew that when Su Yao was really angry, she’d ignore people and sulk by herself. But right now, she was just pretending and didn’t want to bring it up.
Luo Yu didn’t keep pestering Su Yao—once was enough, repeating it would be impolite.
“So, what about this morning? Did you get Morning Wake-Up Service?”
Su Yao shot Luo Yu a look, muttering inwardly about how this girl was so obsessed with her and Mu Nanqiu’s affairs.
Thinking back to the morning, she sighed and said, “Nothing like that happened. I got up first, and everything was ready by the time Nanqiu woke up.”
“You should’ve woken her yourself.”
“But she had class in the afternoon today.”
“So what? Don’t you want to see what Senior looks like when she’s sleeping? Don’t you want to sneak under the covers with her?”
Su Yao sucked in a breath of cold air. Even though she felt Luo Yu was absolutely right, she still thought Luo Yu was kind of a pervert. Who just crawls into someone else’s bed? Even… even if you like each other, you still can’t just do that, right…?
She wasn’t too sure, and Luo Yu could see Su Yao’s thoughts from the look of contemplation on her face.
Suppressing a laugh, Luo Yu teased, “Who would’ve thought that ManTou-sensei, who’s written so many steamy stories, is actually so pure? If people found out, they’d laugh at you, wouldn’t they?”
“You… You wouldn’t dare!”
Of course, Luo Yu was only joking. She wasn’t stupid, nor was she malicious. She’d never just take someone else’s business, embellish it with her own thoughts, and post it online for others to comment on. She couldn’t do something like that.
If not for that earlier Post, Luo Yu wouldn’t have realized ManTou-sensei was right beside her all this time.
Fate really is strange.
Because of Luo Yu, Su Yao often found herself thinking of all sorts of odd things. She even really wanted to try the things Luo Yu had suggested—like sneaking into someone’s bed. That had to be incredibly exciting, right?
Haha, as if I’m some kind of pervert—how could I ever do something like that?
It’s just… fun to imagine…
Lost in her thoughts, Su Yao’s cheeks turned red. In the midst of spring, the pretty young girl sat upright on the bench, face full of shyness, looking absolutely lovely.
When she’d gotten up that morning, Su Yao had forgotten Mu Nanqiu was still at home and ran straight into the living room in her nightdress. After brushing her teeth and washing up, she suddenly remembered, and hurried back to her room—there was no coincidental encounter. So disappointing…
If Senior had come out of her room at that exact moment and seen her in just a thin nightdress, what would have happened?
Su Yao drifted into fantasy.
In her daydream, Mu Nanqiu didn’t sleep in and happened to be heading to the bathroom. Just as she opened the door, she saw Su Yao standing there in a silver-pink spaghetti-strap nightdress, the thin fabric covering just enough, exposing a large stretch of fair skin to her eyes.
And ManTou-sensei’s mantou really was big—so round and tempting.
Mu Nanqiu couldn’t help but swallow, saliva pooling in her mouth, and even the air seemed faintly scented with peaches.
Su Yao, like a startled little bunny, froze in place. When she finally reacted, she wanted to dash past Mu Nanqiu back to her room. But how could Mu Nanqiu let her escape so easily?
Stepping sideways, she caught the fleeing Su Xiao Yao right in her arms. The flustered girl’s face was crimson, her gaze darting, and she could hardly speak…
Gently wrapping her arms around her, she bit her earlobe lightly, whispering, “You ran into me, so you have to take full responsibility. Your punishment is… being eaten by me~”
“Ah!”
Su Yao snapped back to reality with a start, her whole body trembling. She squeezed her legs together and shot up from the bench.
Stammering, she said, “I-I-I, I’m going to the bathroom!”
She was already two meters away before she finished the sentence.
Luo Yu stared after her in surprise. After a second or two, she got up as well and hurried after her.
“Wait for me, I’m coming too.”
After wiping herself, Su Yao glanced at the paper and tossed it away before leaving the stall. The blush was still lingering on her face, her heart not yet settled. After leaving the restroom, she headed to the window at the end of the hallway.
She opened the glass window and let the outside breeze cool her flushed cheeks.
It was still chilly in spring. Yesterday, she could get by with a thin jacket over her shirt, but today she had to add a sweater underneath. Still, nothing could hide Su Yao’s figure, which drew quite a few glances.
But things weren’t like they used to be. Su Yao was almost used to the occasional glance or two now.
Strangers were fine; the main problem was her own classmates, especially the girls.
Sometimes, girls who didn’t know boundaries would try to touch her, which Su Yao found very rude. She never allowed it. Whenever someone reached out, she’d run away, not giving anyone the chance.
Even though Su Yao looked petite, she was just over 1.6 meters tall, with great proportions—enviable to many.
“What’s up with you? Why the sudden rush to the bathroom?”
“Nothing.”
Su Yao turned away, not wanting to talk about it. Luo Yu was curious but didn’t push, instead looking up at the sky outside.
“How long till summer gets here…”
“We probably can’t wear short sleeves until May.”
“Forget short sleeves—you wear skirts, I’ll be the photographer. Oh, and let Senior Mu take some pictures for you.”
When the day ended, Su Yao didn’t wait for Mu Nanqiu after class. She went home by herself, planning to heat up the leftovers before Mu Nanqiu got back. There were so many leftovers from yesterday; it looked like she’d be eating them for a few days.
And then, what should she do tonight…
Su Yao thought that maybe, as Luo Yu said, some things would happen naturally and unexpectedly in the future. She should also be a little more proactive.
For example, create opportunities for Mu Nanqiu to notice her.
She needed to ask someone for advice. Luo Yu wouldn’t work—she was just a silly little sister, all book theory and no real-world experience. So, she had to look for Oyster Sauce!
