MOKA’s Living Room looked like it had been ravaged by a typhoon, left in utter chaos.
The Curtain was drawn tightly over every window, but a sliver of Sunlight managed to slip through, illuminating the mess of toppled bottles scattered all over the floor.
A bottle of Whiskey lay crooked by the leg of the sofa, while Beer Cans were stacked into a pyramid in the corner of the wall.
Glass Shards glimmered in the shadows, mingled with dried-up alcohol stains, as if a layer of moldy sugar frost had been sprinkled over everything.
On the sofa were piled up coats and underwear of unknown vintage, with a chewed-up earphone cord pressed beneath them.
And at this very moment, the usually arrogant MOKA was being held in midair by Su Li, like a chick grasped by the scruff.
Her fair cheeks were flushed, looking like a wilted eggplant, and she kept kicking her little feet wildly, but all she managed to do was knock a bottle from the Tea Table to the floor, sending a loud crash echoing through the room.
She stared in disbelief at Su Li before her—there was no visible change of expression on Su Li’s face, and her whole figure was as dainty and adorable as a doll.
Yet right now, Su Li seemed absolutely terrifying to her.
Su Li’s tender hand gripped her neck tightly, and the sound squeezed from her own throat resembled a leaky accordion.
MOKA tried fiercely to claw at the back of Su Li’s hand, leaving five bloody scratches, but Su Li’s expression didn’t change in the slightest.
She seemed more like a robot whose program had already been written, only executing commands.
And MOKA, at this moment, was like a guest caught trying to skip out on their bill under surveillance.
Captured by the robot assigned to catch her, hoisted up like a supermarket Plastic Bag in someone’s hand.
“Let… let go… of me…”
MOKA’s weak voice came out, and Su Li fixed her with an icy gaze.
“I gave you a chance. You were the one who didn’t cherish it.”
For Clients who could finish the transaction normally, Su Li felt she was always patient.
But for those who tried to play smart and skip out on the bill, she had no tolerance.
It wasn’t just that she lost a bit of money—it was a waste of her time.
Although she usually had plenty of free time, the idea that time is money was deeply branded into her mind.
Su Li released MOKA’s neck and slipped back into the clothes she’d taken off.
These Clients didn’t seem to care how much her clothes cost, only thinking about themselves.
They never even considered compensating her for the clothes.
Maybe in their hearts, the clothes she bought were as worthless as she was.
Freed, MOKA collapsed backward, the back of her head hitting the edge of the Tea Table with a dull thud of pain, and her head was already spinning—now she could only clutch her skull and wail in agony.
Even so, she didn’t have time to think about the pain radiating from her head, mouth gaping like a stranded fish, ragged gasps rattling from her throat, drool trickling from the corner of her lips to drip into the hollow of her collarbone.
MOKA clenched her fists tight, Su Li’s bloodied scabs still stuck beneath her nails.
She tore open her collar in panic, gulping for air, her chest heaving so hard that two shirt buttons popped off.
Sweat rolled down from her temples into her hair, her bitten lip oozing blood that her tongue kept smearing into a blurred, dark red.
Only when she’d caught her breath a little did she look at Su Li with utter terror.
Clearly as gentle as a lamb before, Su Li now seemed like a big bad wolf.
“Money.”
Su Li picked up MOKA’s Cell Phone from the sofa and placed it in front of her, still speaking with total calm:
“You got yourself drunk and fell asleep—it has nothing to do with me.”
“But your rude behavior caused me injuries that should never happen during a service. So you should pay the proper price.”
“Of course, if you don’t want to pay with money, there are other means and methods.”
Su Li looked at MOKA, who was still gasping in panic, and slowly turned her back to her, exposing her own back to MOKA.
Su Li’s originally snow-white skin now looked like a sheet of crumpled manuscript paper, dark red bite marks layered with purple bruises, the deepest wounds still crusted with half-dried blood.
MOKA tried to avert her gaze, but Su Li’s stare pinned her in place.
Those crescent-shaped scars twisted before her eyes into countless mouths, all opening and closing, whispering, “Monster.”
MOKA’s knees shook uncontrollably. The light from the chandelier shimmered over the scars on Su Li’s back, each bloody mark like a whip lashing her retinas.
Cold sweat beaded on her forehead and ran down her spine, soaking her back so the fabric stuck cold against her skin, making her shudder.
The most prominent bite mark was surrounded by a sickly purple, like a rotten Rose embedded in a pale canvas.
These things, which usually could inspire her creativity, now looked like Monsters, threatening to swallow her whole.
“If you’re willing to bear this price, then you naturally don’t have to pay the money.”
Looking at the wounds on Su Li’s back, MOKA’s trembling only grew more violent.
She hadn’t realized that in her drunkenness, she’d hurt Su Li so badly.
No—she did realize.
She just didn’t care.
She refused to think about it.
After all, she’d paid for it.
She didn’t care what kind of harm Su Li suffered.
She paid for it!
She’d already paid, so she could hurt Su Li as she pleased.
Only…
Just now, she’d thought of skipping out on the bill.
She felt Su Li hadn’t fulfilled her part of the deal.
So naturally, she didn’t need to pay the price.
But…
If she didn’t want to pay money, then Su Li could do all these things to her instead.
MOKA’s trembling intensified.
No!
She didn’t want this!
Monster!
This was nothing short of a Monster!
She didn’t want to become a Monster!
MOKA trembled uncontrollably, unable to imagine how she’d go on living if her once-perfect skin became like Su Li’s.
She was an Idol!
A Genius Composer!
She should live under the lights!
She should stand before tens of thousands!
An Idol must not have scars!
She refused to become like Su Li!
She’d never be a rat in the gutter like Su Li!
Just biting her own lip was already unbearable.
MOKA didn’t dare imagine what it would be like if Su Li covered her in scars.
She was afraid of pain!
She didn’t want to end up like this.
“I…”
“I have money!”
“I have money!”
“Don’t hit me! Don’t hit me!”
“I’ll give you the money!”
Looking at Su Li, who stood before her with an unnervingly calm face, MOKA shakily took the Cell Phone.
She transferred one hundred thousand yuan to Su Li at once.
But when she remembered the injuries all over Su Li’s back, she transferred another hundred thousand.
“The money… the money’s been sent!”
“Don’t hit me!”
Su Li looked at the notification on MOKA’s Cell Phone confirming the completed transfer, a smile appearing at the corner of her lips.
“This transaction is over. Goodbye!”
