Chapter 66: They’re asleep

Eileen chewed on the food in her mouth and turned her head to look at Liliane.

It was already a new day, and the two of them were sitting together again, eating breakfast in the small dining hall.

Eileen’s gaze shifted to Liliane’s lips.

Her small mouth parted slightly, then she took a tiny bite of her bread.

Her cheeks puffed out a little as she chewed.

Even as a girl herself, Eileen couldn’t help but admit that Liliane’s mouth was very cute.

Noticing Eileen’s gaze, Liliane gave her a puzzled look.

But Eileen was still lost in her own thoughts.

What does it feel like to kiss Her Highness the Princess?

She had wanted to ask before, but then got busy with shopping and other things and forgot.

Liliane’s private treatment session with Her Highness yesterday had once again piqued Eileen’s curiosity.

Liliane was sipping her soup and almost choked.

She put down her bowl, cleared her throat lightly, looked at Eileen, and after a moment, understood what she was asking.

She meant that banquet incident.

“It didn’t feel like anything,” Liliane said with a hint of helplessness. “Just soft, and I just touched them. Why are you asking?”

“Eh—” Eileen let out a disappointed sound. “Just like that? Shouldn’t it feel like your brain explodes or something and you don’t know anything afterward?”

Liliane thought back.

She had been shocked by Ophelia’s behavior at the time, and for a moment her mind went blank.

But a simple kiss wouldn’t cause that kind of feeling, right?

Liliane sighed and rubbed her forehead.

“Where did you hear those things…?”

“From books…” Eileen replied somewhat guiltily.

Definitely not any proper books.

Liliane made her judgment.

“Try reading less of that stuff. It’s all lies.”

Maybe people in love experience those feelings during a kiss?

But Liliane hadn’t been in love in nearly forty years of her life.

If you never experienced it, you just wouldn’t feel it.

“But…” Eileen wanted to argue, but seeing the ‘you’re an idiot’ look on Liliane’s face, she could only whimper “oh” and lower her head to poke at the food on her plate.

Seeing Eileen’s reaction, Liliane found it amusing. “What, you’re really curious?”

Eileen nodded.

Liliane reached out and pinched Eileen’s small cheek—it was soft and quite pleasant.

One hand wasn’t enough, so Liliane used both hands, kneading Eileen’s face like dough.

“If you’re curious, then find yourself an Object of Affection and talk to them. Then you’ll know what a kiss really feels like.”

“Mm-hmm.”

With her cheeks being squeezed, Eileen could only nod unclearly in response.

An Object of Affection—like her two mothers.

It should be a relationship where you could have children together, right?

“Right.”

The two walked side by side toward Elenora’s bedroom.

On the way, Eileen kept glancing at Liliane, hesitating to speak.

“What now…”

Liliane said helplessly.

“J-just, I’m still curious about what you and Her Highness did yesterday…” Eileen stammered. “Did you, um, I mean… that…”

Eileen’s fists were clenched together, her thumbs tapping and separating repeatedly.

“Kiss…”

This was endless.

To be honest, with her mind constantly stuck on this, the girl was hopeless.

Liliane was about to laugh in frustration.

“You’re overthinking it. It was just a simple treatment, nothing happened. I just let Lia sleep for a bit.”

Liliane’s previous biology lesson hadn’t worked on Eileen at all.

To Eileen, sleeping clearly meant preparing to have babies.

“Young Lady, something’s wrong. Liliane said she went to sleep with Her Highness the Princess yesterday…”

“They’re going to have a little baby soon…”
