It was a hand that suddenly emerged from the air.
A pale hand so translucent that even the veins were clearly visible—more precisely, a severed arm.
It stretched out from the air beside Qi Ye, opened the box under his horrified gaze, and then vanished back into the air.
A flash of regret crossed Xunian’s eyes.
She had been a beat too slow just now; the moment she thought about pulling that hand out for a closer look, it had already disappeared.
“What was that just now…?”
Qi Ye was still shaken, looking completely dazed.
Ran Feng explained, “That’s a monster from the Rules Creepypasta World, called Guai Yi.”
“It’s definitely creepy. Too creepy.”
Qi Ye trembled, his tall figure shrinking from 1.85 meters to about 1.7.
The Three-person group all looked uneasy, exchanging glances that revealed the fear in each other’s eyes.
At this moment, they were immensely relieved that Qi Ye had been pushed forward first.
Otherwise, if that strange hand had wanted to do something to them, they wouldn’t have had time to run.
Shen Mosi seemed completely unfazed, as if she hadn’t noticed the hand that had appeared out of nowhere.
She blinked under Xunian’s curious gaze.
Inside the open Black Box was plainly visible—six beautifully packaged lunchboxes, with a neat arrangement of meat and vegetables.
This was… the lunch provided by the School?
A scent of food drifted through the air, followed suddenly by a “gudong” sound.
Everyone’s eyes turned toward Qi Ye.
Qi Ye’s face flushed slightly. “Wh-what? I’m hungry, isn’t that allowed?”
“Maybe… we should share?” Ran Feng frowned.
There were seven of them but only six lunchboxes—was this some kind of invitation to fight?
Everyone couldn’t help but swallow hard.
So hungry.
Xunian didn’t have much appetite; she had eaten breakfast just this morning. Yet, at this moment, her hunger suddenly surged.
She sensed something was off and lightly furrowed her brow.
Ran Feng’s gaze flickered between Qi Ye and the lunchboxes. “Maybe you’re so tall… you shouldn’t eat?”
“???” Qi Ye widened his eyes, staring as if he couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
“I won’t eat then,” Shen Mosi suddenly said softly.
Xunian glanced at her. The girl looked delicate enough to be blown over by the wind, and seemed to barely eat.
Her gaze swept over the tear mole at the corner of her eye, stirring a faint ache inside.
“You can have my lunchbox. I’m not hungry.”
“Nooo,” Shen Mosi made a pitiful, innocent expression, hooking Xunian’s pinky with hers, “Let’s eat together.”
Xunian had no intention to eat but agreed verbally, “Okay.”
Xunian and Shen Mosi took one lunchbox.
The others each took one as well, emptying the box.
The rest of them went off to find seats and prepare to eat, but Xunian lingered by the box, waiting for a while.
“What’s wrong?”
Shen Mosi asked, noticing her still staring at the box.
“Nothing. Let’s go eat.”
Xunian walked toward the wooden tables in the Classroom, a faint regret flashing in her eyes.
She still hadn’t gotten to see the hand from before. If she could catch it, it would’ve been worth studying.
Shen Mosi pulled out a chair and sat down, also pulling over the one next to her.
She rested her chin on her hand, looking expectantly at Xunian as she approached, a sweet smile on her lips.
Xunian sat beside her.
Shen Mosi seemed very happy. “Deskmate~”
The rising tone swept through Xunian’s heart, stirring gentle ripples.
She forcibly ignored the tingling sensation, like feathers brushing over her skin, opened the lunchbox, and pushed it toward Shen Mosi.
“Eat up.”
She subtly moved a little away from Shen Mosi.
Shen Mosi noticed and her expression briefly darkened.
The others were already eating heartily, filling the Classroom with the tempting aroma of food.
Yuan Shen pointed at one of the dishes and said to Qi Dong, “This dish is really good.”
Qi Dong took a bite, her eyes lighting up as she nodded.
Qi Ye quietly sat in the corner eating his lunchbox, glancing gratefully at Xunian and Shen Mosi’s backs.
Xunian suspected the lunchbox was suspicious. Having experienced the last world, she was naturally wary of food in the Creepypasta World.
She lowered her head to look at the drawer of the desk in front of her.
Shen Mosi picked up her chopsticks, took a bite, and brought some to Xunian’s mouth.
Perhaps the aroma was too enticing. Looking into Shen Mosi’s captivating eyes, Xunian unconsciously bit down.
“Is it good?”
The rich flavor filled her mouth. She swallowed, but before she could answer, her body suddenly grew heavy and dizziness washed over her.
Xunian lightly pressed her forehead and looked to the side, only to find the others had already collapsed onto their desks.
“You…”
Xunian understood what was happening and turned to Shen Mosi, who was nervously looking at the others.
“Xunian, what’s wrong?”
Before losing consciousness completely, the person before her blurred into a shadowy double, but she could still barely see Shen Mosi’s worried gaze beneath trembling lashes.
Her eyelids shut heavily as she collapsed onto the desk.
A pair of hands gently caught the falling Xunian.
The girl’s eyes were tightly closed. Her fair, soft face rested in the palm, a layer of fine fuzz covering her sweet, adorable features.
Under the light, she looked like an angel bathed in golden radiance.
Shen Mosi gazed lovingly at the peacefully sleeping girl in her hands, gently tapping her small, delicate nose.
You’re well-behaved when you’re asleep.
……
Everyone woke up, looking at each other in confusion.
Xunian also opened her eyes and immediately looked to the side.
