“She really is beautiful,” a stunning blonde-haired woman said as she sat beside Elia.
In front of her stood a catgirl, wearing a pair of fluffy black cat ear headbands and a soft tail belt with a small jingling bell at the end.
“I told you, didn’t I?” Elia said proudly.
Iana’s original appearance was already top-tier, but now, dressed up as a catgirl by Elia, she looked even cuter.
“Then how about having her dance alongside you?”
The tall, exquisite woman nodded gracefully, as if she were a natural-born lady, dignified and poised.
“Hmm, since it’s you, my dear, I naturally have no objections,” Aiweina replied.
She paused, then added, “Of course, we should also get the opinion of this beautiful young lady.”
At Aiweina’s words, Iana’s previously dull eyes instantly brightened, only to quickly dim again.
“Damn that wicked Elia,” Iana muttered through clenched teeth.
Just moments before, before Aiweina arrived, Elia had warned her that if Aiweina asked whether she wanted to be a backup dancer and she said no, Elia would hand over the matter of her sneaking into Aiweina’s resting room to the Holy Knights to deal with.
If it really came down to the Holy Knights, Iana would likely be sent away, so refusing was absolutely out of the question.
“I-I’m willing,” Iana said, blushing with shame.
“No, no, now that you’re a catgirl, you have to add ‘meow’ after every sentence.”
To outsiders, Elia looked like a goddess, but to Iana, she was like a demon, and her voice sounded like a devil’s whisper.
“I-I understand, meow,” Iana’s face turned even redder.
“Yes, that’s right,” Elia nodded in satisfaction.
“Now stop dawdling and learn a catgirl dance from your instructor.”
Iana reluctantly stood up, and as she moved, the bell on her tail behind her jingled crisply and pleasantly.
A woman in a purple gown entered slowly after Elia’s signal.
After giving a brief bow to Elia and Aiweina, she turned her gaze to Iana.
“Let’s begin,” Elia said with a mischievous smile at the corner of her lips.
“Now, please imitate my next move,” the dance instructor said, demonstrating an action.
She raised her hands like cat paws beside her cheeks, tilted her head lightly, and lifted one leg slightly, tiptoeing as if she were a real cat.
“Meow.”
Iana shyly mimicked her movements, causing her limbs to feel awkward and stiff.
“Relax a little more, make your body softer.”
“Imagine yourself as a real little kitten.”
“I can’t do it, meow.”
Iana painfully balanced on one tiptoe, trembling violently as if she was about to fall at any second due to her poor balance.
“Hold on.”
Enduring the pain, Iana stole a glance at Elia and found her leisurely sipping red tea.
“Ugh, I should never have agreed, meow.”
Iana deeply regretted sneaking into the resting room to get back at Elia, realizing she was now completely at Elia’s mercy.
But there was no cure for regret.
After a whole afternoon of practice, under the teacher’s guidance, Iana gradually improved, looking more and more like a cat, finally reaching a level suitable for performance.
Night had fallen.
The largest venue in the Holy City, capable of holding tens of thousands, was brightly lit and bustling with noise.
Tonight was a special occasion that had drawn many out of their homes—the concert of the world’s top singer, Miss Aiweina.
“This is way too beautiful. If I could marry her, I’d even be willing to be stepped on by her every day.”
“You’re dreaming. If anyone’s marrying her, it’s me.”
“Enough of that. Have you heard? Apparently, Aiweina invited a special backup dancer for this concert.”
“A special backup dancer? I don’t care. How special could she be? Can she be more beautiful than Aiweina?”
Beside the group stood a blonde-haired girl with twin tails, her expression anxious.
“Where is Iana? She still hasn’t arrived,” Lillian muttered quietly.
Iana had agreed to meet her at the concert hall’s entrance, but after waiting for a long time, she still hadn’t appeared.
“Looks like the Master really found out about her and punished her.” Lillian sighed.
After confirming that the sparse crowd outside didn’t include Iana, she entered the concert hall.
Just as Lillian found her seat, the show was about to begin.
Suddenly, the spotlight lit up, focusing on the center of the stage.
Then, a breathtaking woman like a goddess of moonlight slowly rose into the light.
She was like a beauty stepping out from an iceberg, instantly silencing the noisy crowd of tens of thousands as every eye fixated on her.
Along with her came a grand piano.
She sat gracefully at the piano, her delicate hands lightly playing a flowing, melodious piece.
The music washed over everyone’s hearts, intoxicating all who listened.
Backstage at that moment, Iana nervously gripped the tail behind her.
Her nerves were at their peak.
“Damn you, Elia, meow,” Iana grumbled once again.
Not long ago, Elia had suddenly received a message and immediately left without explanation.
When Iana asked where she was going, Elia only said, “Don’t embarrass me, little kitten.”
While Iana was lost in thought, the platform beneath her suddenly rose, bringing her onto the stage.
The spotlight split, locking tightly on the “catgirl” who had just appeared in the corner of the stage.
As soon as Iana appeared, the audience erupted into muffled gasps and whispers.
“Is that a catgirl?”
“So cute! Who is she?”
“Is this the special backup dancer? She’s adorable.”
“She looks so nervous, her tail is shaking.”
In the audience, Lillian stared at Iana in the catgirl outfit with wide eyes.
“Is this Master’s punishment for Iana?” Lillian said shyly, “She actually looks quite nice.”
“Meow~”
A soft, shy meow echoed through the venue via magical amplification, trembling slightly in its tone.
