[Poll Results]
FPS Game (13%)
Battle Royale Game (22%)
Music Stream (1%)
Casual World Cup (64%)
“Hm?”
The results were completely unexpected.
I had been confident that the battle royale game would take the lead, but to my surprise, the casual World Cup option came in first place by a large margin.
It wasn’t just unexpected—it was something I hadn’t anticipated at all.
[+HurryAndLeave: Oh, what’s this?]
[+HurryAndLeave: World Cup took first place, lolol.]
[What kind of random choice is this?]
[This looks like it could be fun!]
[Pepe: What kind of World Cup are we doing?]
The World Cup option was something I’d thrown in almost as filler, because other streamers seemed to enjoy doing it.
I never imagined it would win.
Feeling a bit unsure, I navigated to the Ideal Type World Cup site.
“Since the poll chose World Cup as the top option, let me browse and see what we can do. Feel free to suggest something interesting if you have ideas.”
[Got it!]
[+HurryAndLeave: Why not something simple, like J-Pop?]
[What’s with the sudden J-Pop suggestion?]
[J-Pop’s kind of boring. I’ve heard it too much.]
[Pepe: Can’t we find something innovative and exciting? Something unusual?]
While keeping an eye on the chat, I scrolled through the endless list of World Cup categories.
There were so many—everything from music tournaments to food matchups.
“Hmm, they have music World Cups, food-themed ones, and plenty more.”
The sheer variety was almost overwhelming.
From ranking your favorite anime opening themes to deciding on the best Korean street food, there was no shortage of possibilities.
Even though I hoped the viewers would provide strong recommendations, their suggestions were… vague, at best.
‘These recommendations are way too indecisive.’
I couldn’t find a World Cup option that immediately grabbed my attention.
I was planning to start immediately if a good World Cup suggestion caught my eye.
Since none did, I ended up picking one that I wanted to do.
“Alright, let’s go with this one.”
[+HurryAndLeave: ?]
[??]
[Wait, who suggested this?]
[Did anyone even recommend this?]
[Looks like he just picked whatever he wanted to do.]
[Pepe: Just do something safe like J-Pop…]
To be fair, doing J-Pop would’ve been the safe and logical choice.
Given how much my viewers enjoyed subculture content, it made sense that many of them would enjoy J-Pop.
But.
“J-Pop’s great and all, but you’ve probably seen it on plenty of other streams, right? So this time, I’m going to pick something I want to do.”
I didn’t feel like doing something predictable.
If I were a full-time streamer whose livelihood depended on this, then sure, I might stick to the safe route.
But for me, streaming was still a hobby.
It made sense to do what I felt like.
Plus, it wasn’t like my viewers would be completely clueless about the topic I chose.
“Let’s go with foreign hip-hop.”
[+HurryAndLeave: ?]
[Dude, please no.]
[Foreign hip-hop is so out of pocket.]
[Ah, nooo.]
[Pick something else, please. Pick something else, please, pick something else, please…]
[Please do something else…]
[Pepe: This is getting messy…]
The viewers seemed to be visibly suffering, but I didn’t think it was a big deal.
This was a fresh, unique concept.
And in the middle of it, there were bound to be a few songs the viewers recognized.
“Alright, let’s get started.”
With that, I kicked off the World Cup.
[Title: Is this for real?]
[Content: (Photo) Why do I have to listen to music by black people, damn it?]
L: Seriously.
L: This really pisses me off…
L: Why didn’t he just go with something simple like J-Pop? Acting all “artsy” with a foreign hip-hop World Cup is just too much.
ᄂ: Fact: LikeYogurt has always liked foreign hip-hop.
L: Seriously?
ᄂ: Yeah, if you check his old Parangsae posts, there are music recommendations there too.
[Author: HurryAndLeave]
[Title: Two songs in, and my head feels like it’s about to explode—upvote, lol.]
[Content: (Photo of a muscular black man flexing) If this does nothing for you, upvote, lol.]
L: Upvoted.
L: But seriously, what’s the appeal here? I just don’t get it.
L: Seriously.
L: Isn’t this just hipster stuff?
ᄂ: Yeah, definitely feels that way.
L: It’s good and all, but why go so far as to hype it?
ᄂ: Just keep it to yourself, please.
ᄂ: These are the kinds of people hyping it up in the chat—makes total sense now.
[Title: Surprisingly enjoyable?]
[Content: I’m not blindly praising it, but there are a few genuinely good songs here, lol.]
L: Ugh, I hate to admit it, but yeah, there are a couple of good ones, lol.
ᄂ: Yeah, it’s kind of infuriating how good some of them are.
L: I’m never adding this to my playlist, though, lol. I swear.
ᄂ: Who asked you?
ᄂ: Guess you’re a keyboard warrior industrial soldier, huh?
L: Honestly, I thought it was decent.

[Title: Live Update: LikeYogurt’s stream is now over three hours long, lololol.]
[Content: (Clip) LikeYogurt looking genuinely happy while listening to music, lol.]
L: Wow, he’s loving this, lololol.
L: A guy listening to foreign hip-hop feels kind of hipster, doesn’t it?
ᄂ: Yeah, it’s definitely got a hipster vibe.
L: Well, if LikeYogurt enjoys it, that’s what matters…
ᄂ: It’s important the person doing it is having fun, lol.
ᄂ: But shouldn’t it also be fun for the viewers?!
L: So, let me get this straight: we’re watching a ‘foreign hip-hop’ World Cup being done by a ‘guy,’ and he’s enjoying it…?
L: Yeah, I still don’t get it even just reading the chat, lol.
[Title: LikeYogurt’s Longest Stream Ever, lololol.]
[Content: (Photo) SIX HOURS, damn, lolololololol.]
L: This is ridiculous.
L: How much does he love this?
L: He quit playing Reore after just two matches—he quit Reore after just two matches—he quit Reore after just two matches—he quit Reore after just two matches.
ᄂ: That’s Reore, dude, lol.
L: Seriously.
ᄂ: If it were a different game, maybe he’d have kept going.
ᄂ: Fact: If it wasn’t Reore, he probably would’ve streamed even longer.
L: Why doesn’t he stream like this more often, ugh.
ᄂ: Because other stuff isn’t fun enough, duh.
[Title: But why is this World Cup actually fun? Lolololol.]
[Content: It’s surprisingly enjoyable, lol.]
L: The World Cup itself is fun, but LikeYogurt is also really good at hosting it.
ᄂ: Yeah, his reactions are so good, lol.
ᄂ: I didn’t expect him to be this good at reacting—he doesn’t seem like the type, but he’s doing great.
ᄂ: It’s like he works in the music industry or something, the way he’s picking up on the background details.
L: I’m gonna go beg other streamers to do a foreign hip-hop World Cup now, lol.
ᄂ: No, don’t do that.
ᄂ: If you go beg them, you’ll ruin the mood, get labeled as the problem, and end up banned after group bullying. Lol.
It was hard to tell how much time had passed, but finally, the winner was crowned, and the World Cup ended.
“That was fun.”
There were plenty of songs I already knew, which made it enjoyable, but discovering new tracks was just as satisfying.
I figured the viewers probably felt the same.
Even those who had initially complained about the choice of the World Cup seemed to be having a great time by the later rounds.
Of course, there were likely a few who didn’t enjoy it, but that couldn’t be helped.
[+HurryAndLeave: Damn, that was fun.]
[This is it, lol.]
[I kind of expected this song to win.]
[It’s a bit unconventional, but the pure quality of the song is just on another level.]
[Pepe: Foreign hip-hop World Cup turned out to be surprisingly good, lol.]
[Yeah, at first, I thought it’d be boring, but why was it so fun?]
The current viewer count was.
[Viewer count: 892.]
I had just hit an all-time high.
I vaguely remembered Ryu Arim once mentioning how doing World Cups often brought in a lot of floating viewers, but I was still shocked.
So many people had tuned in.
“We didn’t even do a J-Pop World Cup, yet so many of you joined in.”
[To be fair, J-Pop is honestly kind of overdone, lol.]
[It’s not as exciting—it’s missing the dopamine rush.]
[Foreign hip-hop <<< Watching their music videos charges your dopamine like crazy, lol.]
[+HurryAndLeave: It’s hilarious how everyone’s reactions flipped after the World Cup started, lol.]
[Pepe: Come on, you had fun. Have a drink to celebrate.]
At first, I’d been a bit uneasy, even though I was doing what I wanted.
But now, I was confident—it was clear the viewers had genuinely enjoyed it.
“That said, this stream has gone on for way too long. I hadn’t planned for it to last this long.”
I had a personal rule for streaming: a maximum of three hours and a minimum of one hour per day.
Today, I had completely blown past that limit.
At this rate, it would start interfering with my real life.
“Alright… I’ll take tomorrow off. I’ve done way too much today.”
I felt a little bad for the viewers, but I didn’t have much choice.
Streaming to the point where it impacted my daily life wasn’t sustainable.
I needed a break tomorrow.
[+HurryAndLeave: No way, dude.]
[+HurryAndLeave: Are you serious? Is this real?]
[Viewer comments:]
[How can you “borrow” time to use it?]
[Stream tomorrow! Stream tomorrow! Stream tomorrow! Stream tomorrow! Stream tomorrow!]
[Pepe: Borrowing time is a technique I’ve never seen before, lol.]
[Is this even logical?]
“Alright, thanks for watching and enjoying today’s stream. I’m heading off now—I’m exhausted.”
With that simple farewell, I ended the stream.
I had already announced my plans, so there shouldn’t be any reason for the viewers to be upset.
[The stream has ended!]
After confirming the stream had ended, I immediately collapsed onto my bed.
Maybe it was because I spent so much time on the World Cup, but I was completely drained.
I figured that with more experience, I might eventually learn how to stream for longer without feeling so tired.
But for now, I wasn’t at that level, and lengthy streams like today’s were physically taxing.
“Yawn…”
I closed my eyes, thinking about how I’d handle the commissions I received today tomorrow instead.
