The first thing that came into view was a basic status screen displaying Selberion’s information— level, HP, MP, and other numerical stats.

“Ah…”
You know what they say— when someone is utterly shocked, they can’t make a single sound.
Their pupils tremble violently, and any words loaded in their throat shrink back before they can escape.
That was exactly my state right now.
After seeing Selberion’s staggering stat values, I couldn’t bring myself to utter a single word.
“This is insane…”
It was a shock beyond anything I could have imagined.
In Season Off Fantasy, where you could only obtain a monster’s information after defeating it, the only details about Selberion that had been publicly known were her level and title, written at the top of the screen.
Her absurdly high level alone had sparked controversy when it was first revealed, but now, seeing her full stats made that level seem like child’s play.
“420 million HP… and 10 million MP…”
Given that Season Off Fantasy allowed up to 3,000 players to raid a boss simultaneously (provided they had the challenge tickets), it made sense that stage bosses had inflated HP and MP pools.
But Selberion’s numbers were on a completely different level.
Now I finally understood why her HP bar barely budged no matter how much we attacked her.
And that wasn’t all.
Her resistances— 98% against all elements except fire, 98% critical resistance, and 99.2% status effect resistance— meant landing a critical hit or inflicting any debuff on her was practically impossible.
Her attack power, sitting at 1,200,000, was enough to one-shot most players unless they had top-tier gear.
…The only silver lining was her relatively low defense, typical for a long-range mage-type character.
But even that was still appropriate for her level— far from being a real weakness.
“…The devs are out of their damn minds.”
One look at Selberion’s stats made it clear: she was designed to be impossible to defeat.
The fact that they hadn’t nerfed her even once in the past eight years all but confirmed it.
Her stats were balanced for a future where the level cap was removed and players had gone through years of power inflation.
Whether she was created purely to taunt players and fuel their stubborn determination, or if the devs actually had some long-term commercial vision in mind, one thing was certain: right now, no one stood a chance against Selberion.
……Of course, most players, unaware of these insane stats, would keep throwing themselves at her, thinking, “Just one more try, and we’ll get her!”
“Sigh…”
Holding my chest to steady my racing heart, I turned my attention to the screen listing Selberion’s skills.
The first thing to greet me was her passive— an effect that remained active from the very beginning of battle until the very end.
**
《Passive Skills》
[Blessing of the Ice Spirits]
At the start of battle, Selberion summons two Ice Spirits. Their forms are randomized, and they automatically attack enemies. Their attacks have a chance to inflict Freeze.
[Piercing Frost]
From the moment combat begins, Selberion can see hidden enemy information (class, attributes, status effects).
[Snow Veil]
A shield of snowflakes protects Selberion.
At fixed intervals, she gains a barrier equal to 5% of her current HP and cleanses all status ailments.
[Endless Cold]
Selberion deals 3% bonus damage to enemies affected by Freeze.
[Ashen Blizzard]
After combat begins, Selberion unleashes the “Ashen Blizzard”, which periodically deals fixed damage to all enemies and has a chance to inflict ‘Freeze’.
Enemies damaged by the blizzard suffer 20% reduced movement and attack speed for a duration.
**
“…”
The passive skills perfectly matched what players who had participated in Selberion raids before had described.
“Blessing of the Ice Spirits”, summoning ice spirits to force another layer of combat onto enemies.
“Piercing Frost”, allowing her to identify enemy information (like healers) and prioritize eliminating troublesome roles.
“Snow Veil”, periodically granting a shield to minimize the impact of ultimate attacks that players barely managed to activate.
“Endless Cold”, dealing additional damage to frozen enemies—fitting for an ice-attribute boss.
…Each one was a flawless passive worthy of Selberion’s reputation. But among them, one stood out as undeniably the strongest.
“Ashen Blizzard…”
The passive skill “Ashen Blizzard”, which scattered ashen snowflakes the moment battle began.
This blizzard persisted from start to finish, relentlessly dealing damage over time (DoT)— making it the most despised of Selberion’s passives among players.
Just when they thought they had barely survived one of her attacks, those infuriating snowflakes would whittle away the last sliver of their HP.
On top of that, once hit by the DoT, players suffered a 20% reduction in attack and movement speed for a set duration.
It was so loathsome that players probably wanted to tear it out of the game.
“…At least there are only five.”
All stage bosses in Season Off Fantasy had exactly five passives.
I had wondered if Selberion might have more, but thankfully, the devs weren’t that cruel.
If even more had been added, it would’ve been hell for the players— or, from my perspective, should I have been disappointed? After all, it meant she could’ve been even stronger.
“Next…”
Having checked her passives, I turned my attention to the next screen— the one listing Selberion’s basic skills.
Given Season Off Fantasy’s emphasis on quick adaptation to roles and innovative playstyles centered around basic attacks, stage bosses like Selberion didn’t have an overwhelming number of skills.
But that didn’t mean they weren’t terrifying.

《Skills》
[Ice Blades]
Selberion fires up to 100 ice blades forward.
Each blade has a chance to inflict Freeze on enemies.
[Ice Wall]
Selberion summons a glacial barrier in front of her.
The wall blocks all incoming attacks for a short duration.
[Frost Surge]
Selberion releases a wide wave of freezing energy.
Enemies hit take ice damage and are briefly immobilized (Stun) and silenced (Attack Disabled).
[Frost Lure]
Selberion enters a single target, forcing them to move toward her while unable to attack for a set time.
[Falling Blossoms]
Selberion calls down a hail of ice chunks in a wide area, dealing massive damage and guaranteeing Freeze on all enemies hit.
[Blizzard of Annihilation] ― [LOCKED!]
※Unlock Condition: Obtain H-grade items Skadi’s Arrow, Khione’s Cloak, and Snow Maiden’s Wings (Progress: 0%).

“Six….”
Selberion’s skills numbered six.
Among them were skills I had already seen or heard of, but there were also some I was seeing for the first time.
Compared to the ice blades, ice walls, and glacial waves frequently used by Selberion in the off-season fantasy, the remaining three skills— “Lure of Ice,” “Falling Snowflakes,” and “Blizzard of Destruction”— were now revealing themselves for the first time.
“Lure of Ice” was a charm effect that restricted the attacks of a designated target and pulled them toward the caster.
“Falling Snowflakes” was harder to grasp, but judging by the description, it seemed to be a skill that dropped chunks of ice like meteors.
In simple terms, it felt like an “Ice Meteor.”
Considering that the ultimate skill of “Heavenfire True Monarch,” the boss of the July stage “Heart of the Sun,” was a meteor, it was reasonable to assume that “Falling Snowflakes” also packed tremendous power.
“Hmm….”
…While both “Lure of Ice” and “Falling Snowflakes” were intriguing skills shrouded in mystery, there was another skill that caught my eye.
“Blizzard of Destruction….”
A skill that anyone would assume to be Selberion’s ultimate.
The thought that this was the ultimate skill of the very Selberion who, for eight years, had brought tens of thousands of players to their knees with just basic attacks, passives, and three skills— it was enough to make my heart race just imagining it.
I would have loved to try it out right then, but unfortunately, the unlucky three-letter word “locked” stood between me and “Blizzard of Destruction.”
“Locked…?”
It wasn’t a player’s skill, but a boss’s skill— locked?
I couldn’t make sense of it and tilted my head in confusion.
Unlike players, whose class-related skills unlock one by one as they level up, stage bosses naturally appear in their complete form, able to use all their skills from the start.
Yet here was a locked skill. It was hard for me to understand.
“Maybe it was reserved for later…?”
In Siofan, when bosses were defeated by players, they would reappear the following year with some of their passives and skills completely altered.
Could it be that “Blizzard of Destruction” was added as data for a potential skill replacement in case Selberion was ever defeated?
“Hmm….”
Of course, as just a debt collector and an ordinary player, all I could do was speculate.
…The only thing I could say for certain was this: gathering the three H-grade items required to unlock “Blizzard of Destruction” was going to be an incredibly, incredibly difficult task.
H-grade items were the highest-tier items in Siofan, and even after eight years of service, only a handful existed.
There were only three ways to obtain them:
First, spend a fortune rolling the gacha during event periods.
Second, pray for an astronomically low drop rate from dungeons or monster kills.
Third, steal them from others via PvP.
…Outside of these three methods, there was no other way to obtain an H-grade item.
“…Gacha is out of the question now.”
Mulling over the first option, I shook my head quietly.
The boundary between reality and the game had already collapsed.
The gacha system, where you spent money to roll for items, was obviously gone. It was something we’d never see or use again in Siofan.
That left only two ways to get H-grade items in the current situation: farming drops or PvP theft.
Farming was practically impossible— the drop rate for H-grade items was in the decimal range, and for classes without item detection skills like Scientists or Thieves, the difficulty doubled.
…In other words, it was hopeless.
As for PvP, considering that most H-grade items were owned by top-ranked players or guild leaders of major guilds, even attempting it could lead to a declaration of war— a major incident.
Me, the “Annihilation Goddess,” Selberion of the Blizzard, challenging a major guild leader to PvP?
That would be announcing to the entire world that I was an enemy, practically inviting them to raid me.
Of course, even if every player came at me, Selberion’s absurd stats meant she wouldn’t go down easily.
But given that I hadn’t fully adapted to her body yet, it would still be a reckless move.
Besides, I had no desire to turn all of humanity against me right now.
The risk of PvP just for an H-grade item was far too great.
“…I’ll look for the items slowly.”
Even without her ultimate skill, even without H-grade items, Selberion was already among the strongest.
Unlocking “Blizzard of Destruction” could be treated like a side quest— something to work on gradually.
…For now, the most important thing was to adapt to Selberion’s body and skills as quickly as possible.
My reduced size had lowered my field of vision, and my body felt unnervingly light, making me dizzy with every movement.
With no way to predict how long this phenomenon— monsters pouring out of rifts of light— would last, I didn’t have time to waste.
“…Maybe using these skills will help me adjust faster.”
Life is about hands-on experience.
Maybe moving around and actually using the skills would help me adapt more easily.
Just like how reading a textbook a hundred times isn’t as effective as solving one practice problem, perhaps trying out the skills once would be better than reading their descriptions a hundred times.
“Is there anything around that could serve as a decent target…?”
But if I used Selberion’s skills in this tiny apartment, I’d lose my only shelter in an instant.
Judging by the terrifying descriptions of her skills, the building itself would probably collapse.
At the very least, using them indoors— especially in my own home— was out of the question.
“Where can I go to let loose…?”
Sitting cross-legged, I quietly began to ponder.
A heavy silence fell over my tiny studio, making the noises outside the window all the more vivid.
—Kyaaaaaaaah!!
—Kieeeeeeeeen!!
“…Oh, right.”
The cries of monsters echoed from all directions.
Once I started paying attention, their grotesque roars grew sharper in my ears.
I’d momentarily forgotten while checking Selberion’s stats— right now, Korea, no, the entire world, was facing an unprecedented catastrophe.
Maybe the monsters were avoiding my apartment building because they sensed Selberion’s presence?
The eerie quiet had lulled me into a false sense of security.
But no matter what, Seoul— no, the entire country— was a warzone.
Soldiers firing guns and artillery, players transformed and struggling to survive, countless monsters slaughtering everything in sight— the world was in utter chaos.
…In other words, there were plenty of things I could use as sandbags without worry.
“…I should be able to take down a wyvern with just basic attacks, right?”
Stretching my muscles, I finally stood up.
