Honestly, I hadn’t intended to stop streaming entirely.
I had planned to start another stream soon enough.
However.
Thump. Thump.
I’d been having so much fun tinkering with the music program that time just slipped away.
About two days, to be exact.
While messing around, I suddenly remembered that I hadn’t posted any announcements and hadn’t streamed in those two days.
That realization prompted me to quickly stop what I was doing and get my streaming setup ready.
‘Let’s fix this…’
After resetting the broadcast settings, which had gotten a bit out of whack, I started the stream.
Since I hadn’t given any notice about my absence, it was only fair to get back to it promptly.
[The stream has started!]
The notification went out, and I waited for viewers to join.
‘There’s a high chance no one will show up.’
Unlike famous streamers, I was still new to this.
My average viewer count wasn’t that high, even though it had been better than I expected for someone just starting out.
After a two-day break with no announcements, it wouldn’t have been surprising if the usual viewers didn’t return.
‘If 30 viewers show up, I’ll be happy with that.’
Having experienced it before, I knew 30 viewers were manageable and fun.
More would be nice, of course, but I kept my expectations realistic.
As I waited.
[+HurryAndLeave: Why now? Why now? Why now? Why now? Why now? Why now? Why now?]
A familiar nickname popped up in the chat.
“Ah, hello, HurryAndLeave.”
This viewer seemed truly invested in my streams.
They always showed up when I went live, which is why I’d entrusted them with moderator status.
[+HurryAndLeave: What were you doing all this time?]
[+HurryAndLeave: Why are you only coming back now, smh…]
They seemed a bit more upset than usual.
It was probably because I hadn’t streamed for two days without posting any updates.
“I got caught up in a new hobby for a bit, but I’ll make sure to be on time from now on.”
[+HurryAndLeave: Oh, well, in that case, it can’t be helped…]
[+HurryAndLeave: As long as you’re on time next time!]
[Hehe.]
[Oh, the stream’s on!]
[Yottt, hehe!]
As I chatted with HurryAndLeave, other viewers gradually began joining the stream.
[Viewer Count: 42]
That was more than I had expected at the start.
If this kept up, even more people might join as time went on.
While keeping an eye on the chat, a question suddenly came to mind.
“By the way, why am I called ‘Yottt’?”
It wasn’t like I disliked it, but using my actual name, Jaehun, felt more natural.
Being called Yottt made me feel like I was a professional streamer or something, which was a bit odd.
[+HurryAndLeave: It’s because your Twis username is yogurt-related.]
[“Streamer doesn’t even know their own nickname, lol.”]
[Pepe: A streamer who doesn’t know their own nickname, haha.]
[“Yottt just has a nice ring to it!”]
Seeing the chat, I could guess the reason.
My Twis username was “LovesYogurt,” and it seemed like people shortened it to something easier to say—Yottt.
“Well… alright then. I guess I’ll go with Yottt from now on.”
[+HurryAndLeave: Let’s go! Legendary moment!]
[“So it’s official now? Yottt is the official nickname?”]
[“Finally, we can call you Yottt without hesitation, lol.”]
[“This is gold, lol.”]
[“It’s sweet, so sweet!”]
[Pepe: Yottt, hehe.]
I didn’t quite understand why the viewers were so excited, but I just let it slide.
From what I’d seen so far, they were the type to find joy in even the smallest things.
“So, what did you all do during the past two days?”
[+HurryAndLeave: Just the usual—messing around and eating, lol.]
[“Please don’t ask personal stuff like that…”]
[“I went to Busan, lol.”]
[“Busan’s great!”]
Busan, huh.
I’d lived in Busan for about a month before.
It wasn’t a bad place at all—great scenery, delicious food.
“Busan is nice. The scenery there is amazing.”
As I chatted, I set up a poll as usual.
“Alright, I’m putting up a poll. Please choose what you want to see.”
I made some adjustments to the poll options compared to last time.
[Poll]
- Art stream
- Music stream
- FPS game (Not recommended)
- Just chatting
“We’ve got these options, so think carefully before you vote.”
While I had the urge to try a variety stream, I knew better than to do that right now.
Those kinds of streams are only fun when you have a steady audience who both enjoys playing and watching.
‘It’s pointless if I’m the only one having fun.’
After explaining that, I glanced at the chat.
[+HurryAndLeave: Reore? Anyone up for it?]
[“Reore? Are you crazy? After what happened last time?”]
[“On behalf of the Reore fans, we apologize. We’re sorry, we’re sorry, we’re sorry!”]
It looked like the chaos from the last Reore stream still hadn’t been forgotten.
[“Alright, alright, I’ll accept the apology. Hmph.”]
[Pepe: “Doing it all—banging the drum, playing the gong, might as well spin a ribbon hat too, lol.”]
It seemed like people were still misunderstanding what had happened during the previous Reore stream, so I figured it was best to clear the air.
“About the last Reore stream, I think there’s some confusion. I wasn’t angry at all. Lusha played really well too.”
[+HurryAndLeave: “Hmm… lol.”]
[“You sounded kind of mad, though.”]
[“It was more like you were disgusted by the plays, not angry, lol.”]
[“True, not mad, just annoyed.”]
[“What do you mean not mad? Your voice was totally shaking, lololol.”]
[“Why are you making a fuss? He said he wasn’t angry.”]
I added further clarification.
“Out of all the struggling top laners I’ve seen, Lusha was by far the best. Seriously, top-tier among struggling tops.”
I meant that sincerely.
It wasn’t often you saw someone in a losing lane still manage to have some impact on the game.
[“Wouldn’t it have been better if they didn’t lose their lane in the first place? (Genuinely curious.)”]
[“Hey! Don’t say that!”]
[+HurryAndLeave: “You idiot!!!”]
[“Not losing the lane is easier said than done, lol.”]
[Pepe: “They did pick an extreme champion, after all, lol.”]
“Alright, alright, let’s stop talking about other streamers and focus on the poll.”
Mentioning other streamers too much on my stream could potentially cause issues, so it was better to avoid it.
After waiting a while for the votes to come in—
“Well, let’s reveal the results.”
It seemed like everyone who wanted to vote had already done so. I opened the results.
[Poll Results]
- Art Stream: 10%
- Music Stream: 1%
- FPS Game (Not Recommended): 62%
- Just Chatting: 27%
“Oh…”
The outcome was unexpected.
Even though I had explicitly written “Not Recommended” in parentheses, most people still chose the FPS option.
[+HurryAndLeave: “Art stream… sigh.”]
[“No way we’re doing an art stream, haha.”]
[“Be content with all the art streams you’ve seen before, hmph.”]
[“Whoa, viewer count just shot up, lololol.”]
[Pepe: “FPS game it is.”]
“I’m not exactly a pro-level FPS player, but it seems like everyone really wants to watch this.”
I couldn’t understand why. It’s not like I had an incredibly high rank or anything.
Still, I loaded up the FPS game, since a promise was a promise.
[+HurryAndLeave: “Sigh… life is frustrating.”]
[“Hm, my dear mod, go watch some old streams instead, lol.”]
[“Yeah, rewatching past streams suits you better.”]
[Pepe: “Just wait it out for a month or so. You might get another art stream later.”]
As soon as I logged into the FPS game.
Ding!
A familiar username sent me a message.
[Glim1111: Jaehun, hi!]
[Glim1111: Do you have time right now?]
“Hm? It’s Glim.”
Lately, Glim seemed to be reaching out to me more often.
Back in the day, I’d be the one initiating contact to do one-on-one matches and win chicken gift cards.
[+HurryAndLeave: “What’s with Glim, lol?”]
[“Glim seems to have a thing for Yottt, hm?”]
[“Wait, so your real name is Jaehun?”]
[Pepe: “Who cares about their real name? They’re just Yottt to me.”]
[“Seriously”]
It seemed like the chat was starting to speculate and stir things up as usual.
Since there wasn’t anything urgent, I sent a quick reply.
[BestOfTheBestJaehun: I was just about to start a ranked game.]
[BestOfTheBestJaehun: My schedule’s flexible, though, so I do have time.]
[Glim1111: Oh! In that case, do you want to play together?]
[Glim1111: There’s another streamer I’ve gotten close to recently, and we could team up.]
“Hmm…”
Playing together, huh?
It felt like the viewers wanted to see solo ranked matches instead.
“Should I play with them, or go solo? I’m fine with either.”
As soon as I posed the question, the chat immediately flooded with unanimous answers:
[“Play together!”]
[“Do it!”]
[“Collabs are always more fun!”]
[+HurryAndLeave: “It’s way more entertaining to team up.”]
[“Why would you skip playing with Glim? Guaranteed fun!”]
[“Play with Glim, lol.”]
With the overwhelming response, I sent my answer:
[BestOfTheBestJaehun: Alright, invite me.]
[Glim1111: Sending it right now.]
Shortly after, I accepted Glim’s party invitation—
“See? I’m telling you, I’m a sniper specialist.”
“…Hm.”
A familiar voice rang out in my headphones.
