The act of possession usually happens regardless of the person’s will.
It’s been a long-standing tradition for emotionally unstable authors to repay readers’ comments or emails by possessing them.
Occasionally, one might even get possessed into a romance-fantasy novel they’ve merely skimmed.
Among these terribly cliched scenarios, unfortunately, I fell into the first category.
The overpowered and addictive novel, The Genius Swordsman of the Academy’s National Authority.
One day, after coming home from work at a soul-crushing company that feels more like family,
I was reading the novel and reached the final battle, where all the heroines ended up dying.
Enraged by the author’s absurd and trashy ending, I left daily comments wishing for the resurrection of the heroines.
This went on for a year.
Then one day, I was engulfed in a blinding white light, and when I opened my eyes again, I realized I had been possessed inside the novel.
Well, considering the persistent comments I left, I can sort of understand why I got possessed.
But here’s the thing…
“This is freaking insane.”
No matter how much I begged, making me the final boss who kills off the heroines is just too cruel!
