“Wolf girl, huh?”
Chen Weilong somehow took out a notebook and pen from who knows where and started jotting something down.
Huang Weihong, peeking over curiously, saw Chen Weilong write “Luoluo – Wolf – 8” in his notebook.
“He couldn’t help but ask, “Weren’t we all searched when we came in? Where did you even get that from?”
“Secret,” Chen Weilong replied, clearly not intending to explain.
When Roel also glanced over, he simply closed the notebook and somehow made it disappear again.
Roel, brushing off the awkward moment, urged the group, “Alright, stop dawdling. Let’s go.”
He then followed behind Luoluo out of the cell.
The other male students followed in a line and found the rest of the girls waiting in a small lounge outside.
As soon as Xu Jiaying saw Huang Weihong, she ran up and clung tightly to his arm.
A’Ka glanced strangely at Luoluo, who was at the sink washing her hands, and said to the group, “There’s no threat here for now. Let’s search around. If you find the armory, use the walkie-talkie to notify the others. I’ve already tuned all of them—you guys know how to use these, right?”
As she spoke, A’Ka tossed a few walkie-talkies onto the couch.
Kasha noticed some of them still had smudges of dried blood.
He found A’Ka’s “no threat for now” statement curious—did that mean the threat had already been eliminated?
Before leaving, A’Ka pointed to a steel door across from them and warned, “Don’t go in that direction.”
Then, in order to save time and find the weapons quickly, she stopped paying attention to the trainees and exited alone through a side security door.
After exchanging looks, the remaining trainees each grabbed a walkie-talkie.
Huang Weihong and Xu Jiaying followed after A’Ka.
Chen Weilong and Chen Weihu also grabbed walkie-talkies but deliberately headed toward the steel door A’Ka warned them about.
Meanwhile, Scorpion had already disappeared when no one was looking.
No one saw which direction she left in.
Kasha picked up the bloodiest walkie-talkie, lightly traced a finger across it, and left a faint mark—the blood hadn’t dried completely.
Roel looked at Kasha and Mia, who hadn’t left yet, and hesitated before suggesting, “How about we move together?
It’s easier to get into danger when you’re alone. Right, Luoluo?”
Luoluo, having just finished tying up the unconscious guards after washing her hands, was picking a clean walkie-talkie.
She glanced up when Roel spoke and replied nonchalantly, “Whatever.”
Roel vividly remembered the scene where Luoluo lifted a guard by the neck with one hand.
Having someone that strong around definitely seemed safe.
“Sorry, I refuse. I don’t want to team up with a violent maniac.”
Unexpectedly, it was Mia who refused.
She was clearly referring to Luoluo as the maniac.
Mia stretched lazily on the couch, her slim figure on full display, and flirted with the two guys:
“Anyway, you boys can handle the searching. Guys who can’t take care of ladies won’t find girlfriends, y’know?”
Roel blushed like an innocent teen and didn’t dare meet her gaze.
Kasha looked away entirely, pretending not to see.
Mia was indeed beautiful, but Kasha had seen plenty of pretty girls before and had developed some resistance.
Plus, she seemed to know the
“Young Master,” and during introductions, had been staring at him.
He decided not to get too involved with her.
Luoluo ignored Mia’s mockery and picked a relatively clean walkie-talkie.
Then she looked at Kasha and asked, “Coming?”
Kasha nodded and followed behind her.
Roel glanced back at Mia, who clearly had no intention of moving from the couch.
He warned, “Don’t wander off. If something happens, use the walkie-talkie to call us.”
With that, he rushed after Luoluo and Kasha.
“Hey, wait up! Don’t leave me behind!”
Now, only Mia was left in the lounge.
She looked at the walkie-talkies with mild disgust, then closed her eyes to rest.
Elsewhere, Kasha and Luoluo passed through a steel door marked with gear designs and painted red exclamation marks.
They had only walked about 100 meters down the corridor when Roel caught up.
“Why didn’t you wait for me?”
“You left her alone back there?”
Kasha gave Roel a strange look.
“You know people’s affection for you will drop if you do stuff like that.”
“Huh? Should I go back?”
Roel’s face turned red again.
“I mean—not that I care or anything—just that a girl alone might be in danger…”
“No danger.”
Luoluo, walking ahead, suddenly spoke.
She didn’t look back, but her white wolf ears twitched.
Kasha had the urge to reach out and grab them.
“If you try, I’ll kill you.”
—Mind reader, are you?
Kasha complained silently.
“Not a mind reader.”
“…………”
“…What?”
Roel was still torn about going back, but froze when he heard Luoluo’s reply.
Kasha shook his head.
“Nothing. So, you decided? Coming with us or going back to play knight to the princess?”
“…I’ll go with you. I’ll need a weapon to protect myself anyway, right?”
—I think even with a weapon, some people can’t protect themselves.
Kasha sighed inwardly, glancing at Roel who was holding the walkie-talkie upside down.
“!!!”
Suddenly, Luoluo stopped in her tracks.
“Did you find something?”
Kasha noticed her wolf ears had perked straight up.
Luoluo didn’t answer.
She sniffed the air and muttered, “Fresh blood.”
Then, without explaining, she sprinted ahead.
Her speed was astounding—just a few steps and she was already 20 meters away.
Kasha and Roel quickly followed, but their stamina clearly didn’t match hers.
Within seconds, Luoluo had reached the end of the corridor and disappeared around the corner.
When Kasha and Roel reached the corner, they found a circular metal door wide open, with a large skull symbol painted on it.
Clearly, Luoluo had ignored the warning and gone right in.
Kasha hesitated briefly, then stepped through the door.
Behind him, Roel looked at the skull symbol and nearly cried.
But seeing Kasha disappearing from view, he clenched his teeth and followed.
Once all three were inside, a light on the wall by the door lit up, the steel door shut automatically, and the lock clicked into place.
