“What the hell are you trying to do?”
Shen Xiyan wasn’t just angry—he felt tricked, embarrassed even, like a secret had been ripped open and laid bare.
Qin Sheng was fuming too.
“You’re asking me that? I woke up and saw you holding me—shouldn’t I be the one asking you what you were doing?”
“If you hadn’t crawled up next to me in the middle of the night, would I have held you in the first place?”
Qin Sheng narrowed her eyes and smiled slyly.
“Couldn’t you just wake me up then? Did it really need to be a bridal carry?”
Shen Xiyan was instantly at a loss for words.
“And now my aunt saw us too—how am I ever going to get married?” Qin Sheng threw in a dramatic gasp, covering her eyes with both hands.
Though between her fingers, she peeked openly.
“I don’t care! A man’s touched my body. I’m ruined! You have to marry me~”
“Marry your sister!”
“Great! Perfect! I’ll take you to meet her right now.”
Before he could stop her, Qin Sheng somehow summoned enough strength to hook her arms around his neck, threw herself backward, and pulled him down onto the bed with her.
Then, with a swift roll, she pinned him underneath.
Her cheeks were bright red, eyes glistening with a mischievous glow. She straddled his waist, grinding gently against him, and held down his arms with both hands.
“Xiyan,” she whispered, “give me a baby…”
“???”
Shen Xiyan sucked in a deep breath—then smacked her off him with a thunderous “Buddha Palm” move, the kind that glued you to the bed.
What nonsense was this girl spouting now?
Was this because he’d firmly refused to let her evolve after his rebirth?
“Keep acting. Go ahead, see how long you can keep it up!”
“Who’s acting, really?” Qin Sheng giggled, her gaze dropping deliberately to his lower half.
Men’s mouths lied.
But their bodies? Not so much.
He’d lost it the moment she pulled that cute little nightie out—and after all the teasing friction just now, well, let’s just say Shen Xiyan’s “reaction” was beyond obvious…
Qin Sheng sighed inwardly: Ah, teenage boys.
“Want me to help you out? With my hand or with…” She licked her glossy lips.
“Get lost!” Shen Xiyan exploded.
“Just tell me clearly—how long are you planning to stay here?”
He tried to calm himself down.
But as long as they were in the same room, as long as he was still breathing, he could smell the sweet scent lingering on her skin—and all efforts at self-control would crumble to dust.
“Shen Xiyan!” Qin Sheng sat up, furious.
“You’re seriously kicking me out after pulling up your pants? Don’t you have a conscience? You really don’t know why I’m homeless right now?”
“Sure, my relationship with Qin Ge might be a little shallow, but if it weren’t for you, would it have fallen apart so suddenly?”
“I didn’t even want to move in! It was Wenwen’s idea. And I thought, well, it was a kind gesture—if I refused her, I’d probably feel guilty. So for Wenwen’s mental health, I reluctantly agreed.”
“I even thought about borrowing Auntie’s ID to book a room, but you saw how warm and welcoming she was—she insisted I stay! How could I, as the junior, possibly turn her down? I’m helpless here!”
“You think I want to sleep on your tiny bed? You think that’s my idea of comfort? You don’t think a plush hotel king-size sounds better?”
“Huh? Qin Sheng~~”
“When you talk about how ‘helpless’ you are,” Shen Xiyan said with a deadpan face, “could you at least wipe off that smug little smile?”
“You don’t look ‘helpless’ at all. You look like you’re saying, ‘Yeah, I’m full of it—what are you gonna do about it?’”
Qin Sheng didn’t even flinch. With the most innocent expression she could muster, she said sweetly, “Aww, come on. You can’t bite me—I’m the one who does the biting. Oh wait… you can bite too.”
“QIN SHENG!!!”
“Okay, okay! Chill! Just a joke, geez.” Her expression suddenly turned serious.
“I’ll stay just two more nights to help Auntie with her check-up. Monday we start school, and after that, we’ll go our separate ways after class. Sound fair enough?”
“???”
Shen Xiyan was thrown off by how quickly she agreed.
“I haven’t really used that card much anyway. If something goes wrong later, at least I’ll be around to help.”
His expression softened a little.
Qin Sheng beamed in satisfaction.
She understood all too well now—push too far, and you’ll lose the advantage. If she kept pressing, sure, she could probably keep staying here.
Even if Auntie got sick of her one day, as long as she didn’t speak up, no one could kick her out.
But Shen Xiyan was clearly reaching his limit.
This tactic?
Classic bait-and-switch. Set up an impossible position, then back down just enough to make yourself seem generous. Suddenly, she’s the considerate one.
If she weren’t trying to keep up appearances in front of him, she’d totally throw in a little victory pose. PUA?
Please.
This was Wifey 101.
PUA just wants your body.
She wanted both—body and soul.
“Thanks,” he muttered.
“I’m helping Auntie, not you. She’s my aunt too, you know—not just yours.”
“You feeling guilty again?” Qin Sheng teased, watching his expression closely.
And just like that, the guilt disappeared.
“See? No need to feel bad. You’re looking at me the right way now… But if you really can’t shake the guilt, then I’ll make a tiny request—go grab me a yogurt from the fridge. I’m starving after talking for so long…”
“…You mean your mouth’s just bored?”
“Xiyan~~”
Shen Xiyan walked off with a scowl.
When he came back, Qin Sheng took the yogurt, peeled off the lid, and ran her tongue slowly along the rim—delicately licking both the cover and the cup edge.
A soft smear of white clung to her pink tongue. She looked utterly adorable.
“Want a taste?” she asked, catching his gaze.
“No.”
“Then why are you staring?”
“I didn’t know you were the type to lick lids.”
Qin Sheng giggled.
“Only in front of you. I don’t bother otherwise—it’s too much work.”
The tangy-sweet flavor exploded on her tongue. Eyes shut in delight, she licked her lips again—milk stains still clinging to the corners of her mouth.
“Mmm, it’s so good. You should try some!”
“I’m good.”
“Come on, just a bite! I’ll feed you~~”
In the middle of her coaxing, she choked, coughed—and splurt, yogurt went everywhere.
All over the bed, the floor, Shen Xiyan’s pants… even her mouth and hands were a mess.
“You okay? Did it go down the wrong pipe?”
“I’m fine, I’m fine! So sorry! Let me wipe it off!”
Qin Sheng hurriedly grabbed a few tissues and bent down to wipe his pants.
Just then, Jiang Xi came out of the bathroom. The living room was empty, but the bedroom lights were still on.
What are those two up to?
Still not asleep?
She tiptoed closer.
The door wasn’t even shut…
“You two still up? What’s going—”
She peeked in—and froze.
Qin Sheng was bent over, frantically wiping Shen Xiyan’s pants, her face flushed bright red and coughing uncontrollably. There were streaks of white on the bed, the floor, even the corners of her lips…
“!!!”
Shen Xiyan spun around, flustered.
“Auntie! It’s not what it looks like!”
“SHEN XIYAN!!”
