Chapter 21: The Essence of Loneliness and Hunger 

This world is absolutely insane…  

Jiang Lai’s mind went blank, her body buzzing as if electric currents were surging through her.  

She leaned back shakily, but with every step she retreated, Si Yina pressed forward.  

A lesbian?  

Jiang Lai couldn’t deny she liked women, but she couldn’t let Si Yina continue acting recklessly.  

All she wanted was to escape this indecent president.  

“My business is none of your concern…”  

“Really none of my concern?”  

Jiang Lai saw her delicate hand being guided by Si Yina to her waist, stroking her slender curves under her control, with a tendency to move upward.  

Si Yina had long been in a repressed state, bottling up her desires.  

Now, with full control, she acted brazenly.  

“How did it feel when I touched that girl earlier? My figure is better than hers. Now that you’ve touched me, aren’t we accomplices? Whether you take the lead or I do, I’m fine with either.”  

Since becoming a woman, Jiang Lai hadn’t even explored her own body, let alone such intimate touching.  

Si Yina’s boldness was overwhelming.  

Though Jiang Lai’s good impression of Si Yina had collapsed when she saw her harass someone in the elevator, this behavior deepened her prejudice.  

She desperately pulled her hand back, her face pale with fright, devoid of color.  

Gone was her earlier cool confidence—she now recoiled in avoidance.  

Jiang Lai wanted to flee or for someone to notice, but looking around, she realized her predicament was self-inflicted.  

Si Yina blocked her only exit, trapping her in this corner with no idea how to escape.  

Every move felt like it would lead to being pulled back.  

Si Yina’s face glowed with an unstoppable smile.  

Why was this beautiful woman’s reaction so intense to a mere waist touch?  

Having finally met someone so perfectly to her taste, Si Yina wouldn’t let her go easily.  

Jiang Lai was like a proud, exquisite butterfly, untouched by worldly dust, utterly pure.  

But that purity made one crave to plunder and ruin it.  

Si Yina wanted to see Jiang Lai’s resolute, cool face blush with shyness, her fair, delicate skin marked with red.  

She wanted her to fall from her pedestal into the mud, joining her in depravity.  

Jiang Lai was pinned in a narrow corner, her back against cold tile walls.  

Even through two layers of clothing, she felt the chill.  

This was the company’s most secluded spot, rarely visited, not even warmed by heaters.  

Yet Si Yina approached like a blazing furnace, her warmth palpable.  

Jiang Lai instinctively pulled her coat tighter, but Si Yina reached toward her own body.  

“Don’t you want to touch me again?”  

Si Yina slowly unbuttoned a few buttons of her blazer, revealing a black lace bra.  

A wave of seductive fragrance hit Jiang Lai, bold and intoxicating, distinct from her sister-in-law’s scent.  

This world felt absurd.  

Trapped in a corner, logic suggested she was about to be violated, yet her situation was one of passively bullying another.  

If she were the one being taken advantage of, Jiang Lai couldn’t have endured this long.  

But now, raising a fuss wasn’t suitable.  

If someone saw her unscathed while Si Yina was disheveled, they’d think Jiang Lai was the aggressor.  

She was the one forced, yet Si Yina looked like the victim, pitiful, as if thoroughly bullied.  

Her eyes and brows resembled peach blossoms kissed by spring, darkening Jiang Lai’s gaze, stirring faint thoughts.  

Before Jiang Lai could muster a response, hands landed on her shoulders, pinning her firmly against the wall, unable to break free.  

She resisted instinctively, but her pushing hands touched soft, warm skin.  

The instant she made contact, she yanked her hands back in shock.  

Her mind screamed about propriety between men and women.  

Si Yina’s flawless, jade-like skin and black lace bra were exposed to the cool air, a feast for the eyes.  

Jiang Lai bit her lip, maintaining her cool, resistant expression, though her body’s movements slowed.  

As she prepared to resign herself to fate, Si Yina handed her a phone, asking her to unlock it.  

The sudden pause cooled Jiang Lai’s racing heart by half.  

“Can we exchange contact info? I really want to be friends. If you ever want to be kept by me, just reach out.”  

Si Yina was like a storm—intense and overwhelming, but fleeting, leaving only emptiness after thunder and rain.  

After all that buildup, she just wanted contact info?  

Jiang Lai slowly took out her phone.  

She had two numbers—one for work, one for personal use.  

Since her work number already had Si Yina, she used her personal one to add her.  

Her unresisting compliance left Jiang Lai confused.  

Was she handing over her contact info to avoid further entanglement, or was she secretly hoping for another encounter?  

Jiang Lai didn’t know her own thoughts.  

She’d always appeared rigid and conservative.  

Even she wasn’t sure of her true self.  

A truly cold, proper person wouldn’t go to a bar, get drunk, and have a one-night stand.  

After parting with the beautiful woman, Si Yina quietly watched Jiang Lai’s slender figure.  

Si Yina prided herself on reading people accurately.  

From what just happened, she saw through Jiang Lai’s cool facade to her lonely, yearning essence.  

Like a long-neglected widow, her soft refusals were mere pretense.
