Chapter 10: Gold Medal Commentator Liang Tai  

Yinlin’s actual condition wasn’t as carefree as she appeared.  

She discreetly wiped away tears, wincing as she clenched her rear.  

It wasn’t that she didn’t want to dodge the demon’s attacks—she simply couldn’t.  

Unlike Huanhong, she lacked a robust physique; her movement speed was as slow as a human’s, with only her flight speed being decent.  

But now, she needed the wand to charge her attack, so flying was off the table.  

Rather than waste time dodging, she endured the hits.  

Even if it hurt, she kept smiling—because that’s what a magical girl does, bringing happiness and hope!  

Yinlin was still acting.  

Two faces: one in public, one in private.  

Before transforming, she wanted nothing to do with magical girls.  

After transforming, she played the part better than anyone.  

Another combo came her way, but with the magic shield, the kinetic force was miraculously absorbed, leaving her unharmed.  

The berserk demon grew frantic, resorting to magic, hurling fireballs.  

They hit the shield and did nothing—couldn’t even scratch it.  

Liang Tai, from the Magical Girl Fan Club, kept streaming, switching the drone’s focus to Yinlin

The audience demanded Huanhong.  

He switched to Huanhong, and immediately, a viewer gifted a virtual plane, demanding the white-haired girl.  

Liang Tai was raking in the traffic, his stream hitting the platform’s top spot.  

First-hand, close-up, high-quality footage with exclusive shots and even interactions with magical girls.  

He’d even pulled off the wild stunt of crashing a car into a demon.  

The hype was unreal.  

As a veteran magical girl enthusiast, he kept commentating live.  

“Pay attention, everyone. This is a common magic shield, blocking all matter above a certain velocity—I don’t know the exact term, so bear with me.”  

Liang Tai zoomed the drone in on Yinlin’s body, focusing on the translucent shield.  

He continued, “Only things moving very, very slowly can pass through the shield. How slow? I don’t know. But punches and kicks definitely can’t—they get blocked.”  

“This shield is the foundation of magical girl protection. Most magical girls have it, but…”  

He paused, and the chat exploded.  

[Stop yapping, get to it!]  

[Change the commentator, too slow!]  

[I know—this shield’s the strongest in history!]  

“Some of you got it right,” Liang Tai said. “From what I know, shield strength varies, and while this one looks ordinary, it’s the strongest I’ve seen in years.”  

“No magical girl’s shield has ever withstood a low-level demon’s attacks this long without breaking.”  

“This should be a defense-specialized magical girl, but that’s not the case. Let’s look at those magic circles.”  

The drone zoomed in again, capturing Yinlin’s still-forming magic circle.  

The demon was a nuisance, still pummeling her, making her crawl across the ground.  

Finally getting a clear shot of the circle, Liang Tai continued.  

“This is likely a bombardment magic circle, still forming, meaning she’s charging. Family, you saw earlier—even an incomplete charge can fire, but with low power.”  

“Once this thing’s fully formed and fired, family, you know the consequences.”  

The chat quickly filled with context: the massive explosion two nights ago.  

A blast bigger than a nuke, shaking the city.  

That explosion prompted an emergency Human Alliance meeting.  

Liang Tai went on: “We can infer this magical girl has immense magical power. She might not be a rookie—maybe a veteran who’s been training in secret, avoiding the spotlight.”  

“Or there’s another possibility—her massive magic comes from another source. Either way, her total magical power is staggering.”  

“She gathers all her magic for one attack. I don’t know if any demon could survive it—humans definitely can’t.”  

As he spoke, gunfire rang out.  

“The special task force is here,” Liang Tai said, directing the drone to film vehicles a hundred meters away.  

“Family, the task force wants to take out the magical girls too.”  

Bullets and shells flew, hitting the demon but leaving only faint marks. In its berserk state, the demon’s defense was incredible.  

Yinlin took hits too—bullets and shells sparked against her shield, blocked.  

She wasn’t hurt but was worried. 

What if the shield failed or broke? 

A small chance, but still scary.  

Yinlin started dodging, using parked cars as cover.  

Her height was an advantage—standing straight, she was still shorter than the cars.  

The task force couldn’t target her.  

They focused on the taller demon instead.  

The chat was cursing the task force and Human Alliance.  

A platform moderator issued a warning, cautioning Liang Tai about his remarks.  

He hadn’t said anything—clearly, the mod pinned the chat’s sentiments on him, preemptively warning him.  

Liang Tai didn’t dare speak freely, swallowing his frustration.  

“Let’s keep watching how the task force protects humanity.”  

The drone zoomed in on the task force and demon. 

Shells hit the demon, causing minor disruptions but little else.  

Compared to Ultraman’s special forces shooting giant monsters, their firepower was even weaker.  

In plain terms, most attacks didn’t break the demon’s defense.  

Only the 152mm sniper cannon could pierce it, causing slight wounds.  

While Liang Tai and others thought the task force was a hindrance, Yinlin found them somewhat helpful.  

The demon’s attack frequency dropped, easing the pressure on her.  

The demon, unaware of human tactics, seemed slightly intimidated by the gunfire, showing some intelligence—just not much.  

This gave Yinlin a better environment to charge her attack.  

In the distance, Huanhong was locked in a fierce fight with her demon, both bloodied.  

Not a scene for kids—too gory.  

Huanhong had broken one of the demon’s arms, severely hampering its combat ability.  

She kept attacking, growing fiercer, suppressing the demon.  

On closer inspection, the demon’s aura had weakened slightly—its berserk state was ending, unable to sustain that high intensity.  

Roughly calculating, the demon’s exaggerated berserk state lasted about five minutes.  

When it ended, it didn’t revert immediately but gradually weakened.  

Huanhong could’ve stalled to outlast the demon, but she didn’t, choosing to overpower it during its strongest phase.  

As it weakened, it was no match for her.  

Seeing Huanhong’s heavy staff swing, the demon tried to block with its remaining arm, which snapped at a 90-degree angle.  

Another swing smashed the demon’s head, caving it in.  

The demon collapsed.  

Huanhong stood over it, relentlessly smashing its head into a pulp, with fluids splattering—not a sight for kids.
