How exactly to spend the newly credited 2000 points would have to wait.
The more pressing matter right now was that Ranzhu and Huang Qinyin were probably done shopping and would be looking for her soon.
“Umm… Mr. Horus… no, no, Master… I mean, would you like to have a meal together…? According to the customs from my side, when someone becomes a disciple, we have to offer tea as a sign of respect, and I’m not sure if—”
“There’s a really high-end restaurant in St. Freya Academy, with private rooms. We could go there. However your side does things, I’m totally fine with it…”
Mei Keke nervously poked her fingers together, her tail swaying uneasily.
Seeing that Su Xinran didn’t reply immediately, she quickly added:
“Of course, it’s my treat!”
“No no no… that’s not what I meant. What I mean is, taking a disciple isn’t the same as getting married—no need to be bound by so many rigid formalities.”
“Eh…”
“Anyway, long story short, your master has some urgent business and has to go now. Let’s add each other on the identity wristbands and submit the master-disciple application for review. You go back and study hard, and we’ll keep in touch through the wristbands!”
With that, Su Xinran turned and hurried off.
“Seriously? Took on a disciple and won’t even stay for a meal?”
Yan Xuan called out toward Su Xinran’s retreating back, looking a little helpless.
“What a weirdo…”
“Umm… maybe Master Horus really has some urgent matters… and he’s not weird at all!”
Mei Keke said firmly.
“Even if Master looks a bit stiff and his movements are kind of robotic… and his eyes are really strange…”
“But Master is a really gentle and thoughtful person. His gentleness is practically like a girl’s!”
What Mei Keke didn’t know was that, inside the suit, it was a girl—though one who had become a girl halfway through her journey…
“Tut tut tut… Already protecting your new master so fiercely, huh? Didn’t see that coming!”
Yan Xuan teased Mei Keke in a deliberately odd tone.
Mei Keke puffed out her cheeks in anger, and the two of them started chasing each other around the training ground.
While the two of them were playing around, Su Xinran was facing a serious crisis!
Ranzhu was calling her!
The worst part?
Su Xinran was currently waiting inside a stall—in the men’s restroom.
And it was peak time, right after a meeting, so the restroom was completely packed.
Her phone buzzed from inside the pocket of her suspender dress.
Fortunately, she had set it to vibrate in advance out of fear it would ring.
But ironically, that precaution was what made the situation even more absurd.
Su Xinran was floating inside the suit, supported by mechanical tentacles at its center.
Her suspender dress pocket—where the phone was—roughly lined up with the butt of the mascot suit.
And so, in a crowded men’s restroom… a buzzing sound came from the butt of a muscular mascot…
Everyone’s expressions shifted from confusion to realization… and then to horror…
Young man… that’s a little extreme, isn’t it?
Someone wanted to gasp but accidentally inhaled a lungful of foul air.
Inside the suit, Su Xinran hastily hung up the call, her face red all the way to her ears.
Though noisy chatter was typical in a restroom, at this moment, Su Xinran felt like every word was gossip about her…
She couldn’t make out a single sentence clearly, and chances were no one had actually noticed anything—but still, the thought alone made her so embarrassed she could curl her toes straight into the foundations of a palace.
Click.
A stall door opened and someone walked out.
Like a divine reprieve, Su Xinran darted into the now-empty stall.
Sitting on the toilet, she looked up at the ceiling and questioned her life choices.
This is a whole new level of public humiliation.
I’ve really sat on a mango this time—even if it’s not shit, it might as well be.
She pressed the deflation button.
Hissss.
Air was expelled, and the suit rapidly deflated.
The zipper at the back came into view.
Zippp.
She pulled it open, revealing her sweaty ponytailed head.
Su Xinran let out a long, heavy sigh.
“Sigh… next time, I definitely need to find a proper place to transform. The men’s restroom just isn’t suitable…”
Walking out in her real body now would surely cause a stir.
Thankfully, she had planned ahead.
At the very end stall of the men’s room, up near the ceiling, there was a small window—meant for ventilation.
Too small for a full-grown man, but for Su Xinran, it was just barely doable.
Standing on the toilet, she leapt up and grabbed the window ledge.
Her small legs in white thigh-highs kicked a few times before she successfully pulled herself out.
Buzz!
Buzz!
Her phone buzzed again.
This time, Su Xinran could finally answer it.
“Hello?”
“Where the hell have you been, you brat?!”
To her surprise, the voice on the other end was Wang Ya’s.
“Eh? I was just wandering around the campus…”
Facing Wang Ya’s aggressive tone, Su Xinran answered a little guiltily.
“Cut the crap. Where are you right now?”
“I’m at the gym… I really didn’t—”
“Stay right where you are. I’m coming to get you.”
Before she could finish explaining, Wang Ya cut her off and immediately hung up.
“What the… Why is Sister Wang Ya in such a bad mood…”
Su Xinran muttered, confused.
Wang Ya had sounded unusually anxious on the phone.
It wasn’t long before Su Xinran saw Wang Ya hurrying toward her from a distance.
“You little brat!”
Wang Ya stomped toward her angrily.
“Ah!”
Seeing Wang Ya reaching out with that grumpy look on her face, Su Xinran thought she was going to get her ear twisted.
She quickly covered her head and tried to dodge—but instead, that hand yanked her forward and pulled her into a tight hug.
“I’m just glad you’re okay… I’m really glad you’re okay…”
“Eh?”
Su Xinran blinked in shock, not quite sure how to react.
Wasn’t this St. Freya Academy?
With the school’s top-tier security, she should’ve been completely safe here… So why was Wang Ya acting so worried?
“Ah-Ya… Sis?”
Su Xinran stood stiffly in Wang Ya’s warm embrace, unsure of what to do.
“Good girl, Xinran. Go home first with Ranzhu and Qinyin, alright? Your sister still has things to take care of here.”
After holding her tightly for a long moment, Wang Ya finally let go and gently patted Su Xinran’s head.
Behind her, Ranzhu and Huang Qinyin came running up, still out of breath.
“We’re sorry, Young Miss. It was our oversight…”
Their expressions were grim as they spoke with sincere regret.
“No, it’s not their fault! I insisted on walking around the school by myself!”
Su Xinran quickly stepped in to defend them.
“I’m not blaming them… sigh…”
“You should head back now. I still have some official duties to take care of.”
Wang Ya adjusted her badge and straightened up, ready to leave.
“Wait!”
Su Xinran grabbed Wang Ya’s hand.
“Sis… you’re really okay, aren’t you? You’re not hiding anything from me… right?”
