Back to the topic at hand.
Upon seeing Seharei, Roseithe immediately decided she’d “have a little chat” with the petite loli that evening.
At the time, Seharei had just returned from the lower realm, where a war had broken out between human nations.
Acting on the will of the Demon God, she descended to perform a divine miracle to mediate the conflict.
Because she had just returned, Seharei wasn’t aware of Roseithe’s recent accomplishments—she only knew that a new witch had joined during her absence.
Facing the “friendly” Roseithe, Seharei had no suspicions.
So when Roseithe invited her to her manor for some tea, she went along without a second thought.
Once she lured Seharei into her “master bedroom,” Roseithe dropped her act, planning to stage a full-on “Big Bad Wolf chases Little Red Riding Hood” scenario—one where the terrified, helpless Little Red gets “eaten” in the end.
And then…
That night, the witches—already on edge and suffering from sleep deprivation—were startled by a massive explosion echoing across the Sky Isles.
But, like frightened birds, none of them had the courage to go out and investigate in the middle of the night.
The next morning, when they gathered to find the source of the noise, what they saw was… the complete ruins of Roseithe’s villa.
It’s said that it took the Sky Isles five days to repair the damage.
Because of Roseithe’s actions, no witch was willing to let such a dangerous individual stay over, and so she was forced to camp next to the wreckage of her own home for five days.
No one knows exactly what happened that night.
But ever since, Roseithe’s behavior has toned down significantly, and whenever she sees Seharei now, she stays far away.
That said, when Lanafit—who later learned about this whole incident—asked Roseithe if she was giving up on adding Seharei to her harem, Roseithe firmly denied it.
“There’s no way I’d give up on any of my witch sisters. My love must be shared equally among all of them. Seharei may be a bit tricky right now, but I’ve already come up with a strategy and I’m working hard on it.”
The first part of her statement already sounded pretty outrageous.
The latter part seemed inspirational at first—until you actually thought about what it meant.
Then it was just as outrageous as the rest.
As for Roseithe’s so-called strategy…
“Seharei dear, today we’re just here to see Lanafit off. Roseithe’s just sad to see her leave. Don’t be too hard on her, alright?”
Said Anthera, looking at Roseithe—currently in a painful yet blissful joint-lock maneuver applied by Seharei—with some sympathy.
The “pain yet bliss” part came from the fact that Seharei’s chest, though not yet fully developed, was pressed right against Roseithe’s back.
So even though it hurt, Roseithe was definitely enjoying herself.
Then, in the next moment, Seharei suddenly let go, sending Roseithe flying forward, her head slamming into the ground.
“Thud—!”
Nice sound.
Must be a solid head.
Without even glancing at the now-writhing Roseithe clutching her head in pain, Seharei bounced over to Anthera, happily hugging her arm.
“Yes, I understand, Sister Anthera—no! Great Sister!”
At that moment, Seharei seemed like a completely different person.
She looked up at Anthera with obedient, adoring eyes.
Her large, watery eyes sparkled like little stars.
Yes, Roseithe’s new strategy to conquer Seharei… was to first conquer Anthera.
After all, Seharei followed Anthera’s every word without question.
So if Anthera were to be “won over” and properly “tamed,” then wouldn’t Seharei fall right into place with just a beckon?
Only…
Though the plan was beautiful in theory, Roseithe’s reputation across the entire Sky Isles was now utterly in the gutter.
And Anthera was a wise, intelligent woman—not someone easy to manipulate.
So this whole “harem” plan of hers was destined to remain stuck in the starting phase forever.
That said, Roseithe and Seharei did have one thing in common.
They were both (yuri-loving girls).
The difference?
Roseithe went for anyone with a pretty face, dreaming of one massive bed where all her witch sisters slept together in blissful harmony.
She was a textbook colorful player.
Seharei, on the other hand, was fiercely loyal—devoted entirely and obediently to Anthera.
So maybe not so much a “shared trait” after all.
And don’t even bring up the 1 and 0 distinction.
As an aside, Anthera had no idea about Seharei’s feelings toward her.
She just assumed it was an overly affectionate kind of sisterly love.
Seems that this wise and elegant witch might not be so sharp in certain emotional matters.
Watching the drama unfold between the three, Lanafit—despite being the one leaving today and technically the day’s “main character”—wisely chose not to butt in.
Naturally, she wasn’t about to plead for Roseithe either.
In fact, even on a normal day, she wouldn’t.
Letting this woman take a few beatings is good for everyone.
Still, Lanafit couldn’t really say much either—after all, Seharei’s attitude toward her wasn’t much better than it was toward Roseithe.
The only difference was that Seharei hadn’t taken physical action against her.
Yet.
As for why that was…
Lanafit could only feel a bit helpless.
Because of her unique nature, Anthera had always treated Lanafit with special care.
But in Seharei’s eyes, that “special care” meant Lanafit was stealing away Anthera’s love and attention.
With that kind of mindset, how could Seharei possibly have a good impression of Lanafit?
On normal days, even if they crossed paths, Seharei wouldn’t so much as say hello.
The fact that she didn’t seem hostile today?
That was purely because Anthera was present—Seharei didn’t want to leave a bad impression on her precious “sister lord.”
What’s that?
You’re wondering whether her earlier treatment of Roseithe didn’t also leave a bad impression?
Oh, please. Roseithe doesn’t count.
Otherwise, why do you think it took Anthera so long to step in and stop it?
Choosing to temporarily ignore the noise and chaos from the others, Lanafit turned her attention to the final person who had come to see her off.
Ander End.
There were four witches in total who came to see her off:
Roseithe Elodé, her official guide.
Anthera Sael, who had always shown her special concern.
Seharei Bamelt, who had come along with Anthera.
And lastly, Ander End.
Lanafit wasn’t particularly close with the Fourth Witch.
Though she was genuinely grateful for Ander’s help in the World Tree sapling matter, they hadn’t spent nearly as much time together as she had with Roseithe or Anthera.
Ander had come today mainly to activate the barrier that would seal off the Floating Island, and to stand in for the First Witch as an official witness to Lanafit’s departure.
Lanafit only knew that Ander was here to open the path and see her off.
She had no idea that the First Witch had specifically asked Ander to serve as her proxy for this farewell.
As Lanafit stood there looking at Ander, unsure of what to say, Ander’s ever-gentle face warmed with a soft smile.
“Don’t worry. I’ve already sent fairies to your house. While you’re gone, they’ll take good care of it for you.”
“…Thank you, Miss Ander.”
Lanafit nodded in gratitude.
She truly appreciated Ander’s thoughtful arrangements—it was comforting to know that her home would be looked after while she was away.
“No need to thank me. But Lanafit, it’s getting late. If you don’t leave soon, you might not make it to the inn before nightfall.”
Ander glanced at her with a gentle reminder.
She didn’t rush her, though—it wasn’t a push.
The First Witch had made it clear: if Lanafit chose to stay, that was fine too.
She could leave whenever she wanted, or stay as long as she liked.
She had complete freedom.
