Chapter 12: The Young Master Was Drained

Of course, in this world, Ye Ping’an wasn’t entirely sure whether creatures like succubi existed.

But just seeing that mark was enough to make him feel a tingly sensation. Could this be… a hidden plotline?

After all, in his previous life, Ye Ping’an hadn’t made it to the story’s grand finale.

Perhaps, one day, the proud Phoenix protagonist, Feng Aotian, would finally muster the courage to make a move on his junior disciple sister, only to suffer a crushing defeat.

Having tasted the allure of a succubus, Feng Aotian wouldn’t give up, leading to a string of battles—each ending in loss after loss, until he was ultimately reduced to a husk by his own disciple sister.

Thinking along these lines, Ye Ping’an finally found a plausible explanation. After weighing the clues, he convinced himself his guess was spot-on.

Wait a second.

If he accidentally awakened his disciple sister’s true nature, wouldn’t he be in danger?

The thought crossed Ye Ping’an’s mind, but he quickly brushed it aside. This was, after all, a yuri-inspired xianxia world.

Wasn’t it perfectly normal for a succubus to be a yuri enthusiast too? Especially one so close to the protagonist?

Besides, everything was just Ye Ping’an’s speculation! Who knew what the truth was?

With that, Ye Ping’an’s gaze toward his disciple sister took on a new flavor.

But when he saw the pure, innocent face of his disciple sister, her eyes filled with concern as she looked at him, Ye Ping’an began to doubt himself.

With an expression like that, how could she possibly belong to such a provocative race?

Hesitation crept in.

Yet the Mark of Reincarnation couldn’t be fake. His disciple sister was undoubtedly a reincarnated powerhouse.

“Se… Senior Brother, are you alright? You’re sweating so much… Should we…” Ye Mengyao’s voice trailed off as she looked at Ye Ping’an, drenched in sweat, her tone laced with worry.

Since he’d confirmed his disciple sister’s identity, there was no need to linger. Her concern for him was the perfect excuse to make his escape.

“Senior Brother is indeed a bit tired. So…”

Before Ye Ping’an could finish his sentence about leaving, Ye Mengyao cut him off eagerly.

“If Senior Brother is tired, then rest here! Once you’ve recovered, we can continue nourishing my meridians!”

Without waiting for a response, Ye Mengyao—seemingly oblivious to her barely-clothed state—began preparing the bed.

“That won’t do!” Ye Ping’an’s tone shifted, adopting a righteous air.

“Nourishing spiritual meridians cannot be interrupted. If too much time passes, the effects will be greatly diminished. Senior Brother isn’t afraid of exhaustion. Let’s finish nourishing your meridians first, then I’ll rest.”

“Oh, okay!” Ye Mengyao obediently lay back down, though her tone carried a hint of disappointment.

Ye Ping’an ignored his disciple sister’s mood. Resting here was out of the question.

If he fell asleep, his mother might discover him during her morning rounds, and no amount of explanation would clear his name.

Even if Ye Mengyao kept quiet, it would be too late—his fate of being hacked to pieces by Feng Aotian would still loom.

Placing his hands on Ye Mengyao’s body, Ye Ping’an channeled his faint spiritual energy to nourish her meridians.

Soon, the room, quiet for a moment, filled once more with Ye Mengyao’s delicate voice.

Meanwhile, Ye Ningyue, who had been lost in her own inappropriate thoughts, snapped back to reality when the room fell silent.

She let out a sigh of relief, having missed the conversation between the two.

But just as she thought things had settled, the room stirred again with the voice of that “little fox.” For some reason, it sounded even more enchanting than before.

Ye Ningyue couldn’t wrap her head around it. How could such a youthful voice evoke such provocative feelings?

Could someone explain this to her?

Was the other party a natural-born vixen?

And so, Ye Ningyue lingered outside the window, tears inexplicably streaming down her face. After what felt like an eternity, the room finally quieted.

Eavesdropping on their conversation, Ye Ningyue pressed closer to the window. Her eyes widened in shock at what she heard.

Ye Mengyao’s tender voice uttered words so bold they could make a tiger blush, suggesting that Senior Brother come back tomorrow.

Thankfully, the young master insisted once a week was enough, though Ye Ningyue couldn’t help but notice his voice sounded unusually weak.

When she realized Senior Brother was about to leave, Ye Ningyue glanced around frantically before diving into a nearby flowerbed.

As a child, she was easily concealed by the blooming blossoms.

Hidden, she stared unblinkingly at the door of the “little fox.”

Moments later, she saw her young master emerge, leaning heavily against the doorframe.

His face, drenched in sweat, scanned the surroundings. His steps toward his room were unsteady, and Ye Ningyue noticed he began panting heavily after just a few paces.

She gasped, her gaze shifting to Ye Mengyao’s room with a mix of fear and awe.

Her young master, who could trek all day in search of opportunities without breaking a sweat, was now reduced to this frail state after spending such a short time in that little fox’s room.

At such a young age, she could drain the young master to this degree. What would happen when she grew up?

Would she sap him dry, monopolizing him completely?

The little fox was terrifyingly formidable. Ye Ningyue felt the weight of this realization, knowing she needed a long-term plan.

Watching her young master disappear into his room, Ye Ningyue’s eyes gleamed with resolve.

Starting tomorrow, she would ensure he was properly cared for to restore his vitality.

Finally, it was over.

Ye Ping’an let out a long breath of relief.

His mental stamina had reached its limit, his consciousness growing hazy.

Clenching his teeth, he urged himself to hold on. If he was going to sleep, it would be in his own room.

“Thank you, Senior Brother. Won’t you stay and sleep here?” Ye Mengyao’s voice piped up.

“No… Senior Brother is heading back. Remember, don’t tell anyone about tonight.”

Ye Mengyao nodded, then asked, “Senior Brother, will we continue tomorrow?”

At those words, Ye Ping’an nearly collapsed.

He hurriedly clarified, “No… no need. Once… once a week is enough.”

“Oh… I see,” Ye Mengyao murmured, her head drooping with disappointment.

“Rest well, Junior Sister. Senior Brother is leaving.”

With that, Ye Ping’an ignored Ye Mengyao’s mood and fled the perilous den.

He gently opened the door, glanced around to ensure no one was watching, and bolted toward his room.

His legs, weakened by exhaustion, betrayed him, causing him to stumble several times.

Fortunately, Ye Ping’an was prepared and avoided a fall.

It was just a short distance, yet it left him gasping for air.

Finally reaching his room, he locked the door and collapsed onto his bed.

Perhaps due to overusing his spiritual energy, Ye Ping’an faintly detected a sweet, fragrant scent lingering in the room.

Utterly exhausted, he succumbed to the scent’s lull, slipping into a deep sleep moments later.
