Chapter 5: The Transformation of the Double-Sided Silver Coin 2

Large, sparkling eyes, fair and flawless skin, and a pointed chin.

A small, delicate, yet innocent oval face framed by long, fluttering eyelashes.

Dressed in an oversized, loose men’s shirt with the collar open, revealing beautiful collarbones and a stretch of snow-white skin.

Black hair casually draped over both shoulders, looking effortlessly clean and comfortable.

“What the hell?!”

Ji Yuennian couldn’t help but swear at the reflection in the mirror.

The girl in the mirror also parted her lips slightly, her almond-shaped eyes widening in shock, confusion, disbelief… a whirlwind of emotions flashing in them.

It sent shivers down Ji Yuennian’s spine.

“Calm down, calm down.”

Repeating his life motto under his breath, Ji Yuennian took several deep breaths of cool air, trying to steady his racing heart.

He reached out and pinched his cheek hard.

Ji Yuennian’s almond eyes widened even further.

“No, I need to stay calm! Can’t panic!” 

Taking two deep breaths, Ji Yuennian forced himself to remain composed. 

After all, he was already 17, almost an adult.

He knew full well that crying and panicking wouldn’t solve anything-it would only make things worse.

“So, what the hell is going on?” 

Frowning, he quickly sifted through his memories.

Suddenly, an image flashed in his mind.

A boy flipping a silver coin, his fingers moving almost unconsciously to change its orientation, murmuring under his breath, “Infinite possibilities? Could it cure my condition?”

At the thought, Ji Yuennian immediately rushed to his desk, crouched down, and rummaged through the trash bin until he found the coin.

The coin lay quietly in his palm, its surface engraved with intricate, mysterious patterns. 

But now, it looked slightly different.

Ji Yuennian lowered his lashes, studying it with his almond eyes.

The blank side had disappeared, replaced by the faint outline of a girl’s pure, delicate features.

After a moment’s thought, Ji Yuennian experimentally flicked the coin with his fingers. 

A crisp sound rang out as it spun through the air, landing perfectly back in his palm.

This time, the male side faced up.

Ji Yuennian cautiously reached out.

A touch to his throat-the Adam’s apple was still there. 

A touch lower-his “little brother” was still intact.

Sitting back in his gaming chair, Ji Yuennian crossed his legs, narrowed his eyes, and held the coin, carefully replaying everything that had just happened.

Coin, two sides, gender-swapping… 

A bold idea slowly formed in Ji Yuennian’s mind, but he needed to confirm it first.

Taking a deep breath, he flipped the coin again.

This time, the female side faced up.

A touch to his throat-the Adam’s apple was gone. 

A touch lower-his “little brother” had vanished into the wilderness once more.

After several experiments, Ji Yuennian stared at the coin pinched between his fingers, his eyes filled with awe and excitement.

This was a supernatural coin.

“But why does it make me switch genders?” 

Ji Yuennian narrowed his eyes, his confusion deepening.

Suddenly, a bolt of realization struck Ji Yuennian like lightning, and everything clicked into place.

An angel? A demon? A reclusive master? An alien? Or perhaps… a god?

Narrowing his eyes, countless speculations flooded his mind.

Just then, the vibration of his phone on the desk brushed against his fingertips, snapping him out of his thoughts.

Suppressing his swirling theories, he picked up the phone and saw that his QQ fan group had exploded. Countless messages tagged him, demanding answers: 

“Why did you ghost us?” 

“We treat you like a streamer, and you treat us like clowns?” 

“Do you even want to stream anymore?”

Ji Yuenian swiftly muted the entire group, dropped a 500-yuan red envelope, then lifted the mute. 

Instantly, the barrage of criticism transformed into fawning praise, as swift as a Sichuan opera face-change.

Exiting the fan group, Ji Yuenian noticed two special notifications—one from his No. 2 fan and another from his No. 1, both also moderators in the group. 

The three of them had even created a smaller chat.

As he set his phone down after sending the message, it buzzed again.

Ji Yuenian: “…”

He stretched his hand under the light, fingers splayed, snapped a photo, and sent it.

If his No. 2 fan was here to learn gaming techniques, his No. 1 was simply a hand enthusiast, demanding weekly hand photos.

Flipping it between his fingers, a faint smirk curled his lips as he walked toward the wardrobe.

A night breeze swept through the window, tousling his hair wildly, as if the world had shattered into fragments before slowly settling back down.

Ji Yuenian examined his slender wrist, giving it a light stroke before withdrawing his hand and returning the coin to its place. 

Then, he faced the mirror.

Earlier, the shock of his sudden gender-swap had left him too flustered to properly observe his reflection. 

Now, with a calmer mind, he took a good look.

The person in the mirror appeared to be around sixteen or seventeen, standing just over 160 cm tall. 

Their delicate features carried an innocence without being overly feminine, with dark, luminous eyes like the brightest stars in the night sky and charmingly arched eyebrows.

“Shrunk by nearly 20 cm,” Ji Yuenian muttered, running a hand through his soft hair.

Back when he was male, his towering height of 1.83 meters made him stand head and shoulders above others, unrivaled through the ages. 

But now, the girl in the mirror appeared to be just over 1.6 meters tall—a full 20 centimeters shorter than before.

“Never thought I’d encounter supernatural forces,” muttered the girl in the oversized shirt, frowning at the silver coin in her hand.
