“Meng Wange, go squeeze me some fruit juice.”
“Meng Wange, go get me a glass of water.”
“Of course, Miss Su. Understood. What flavor of juice would you like? Would you like me to improvise something using the ingredients in the refrigerator?”
“But I don’t like that damp feeling. Think of a way to deal with it.”
“If we open the windows for ventilation, it should only take about ten minutes for the dampness to dissipate.”
“Understood. Please wait a moment. The sunlight is lovely today. If we open the windows for ventilation…”
“Meng Wange, help me clean the room, and mop the floor while you’re at it.”
Looking at the brown-haired girl beside her, who was busily working around the room and obeying her every command, Su Wanli couldn’t help but furrow her brows.
…Obedient in every way, really?
No matter what she said to her or what she asked her to do, would Meng Wange really accept everything without complaint?
Su Wanli took a deep breath, crossed her legs while sitting in the chair, and looked down at Meng Wange’s face from above.
“Meng Wange, go change into a maid outfit. Not that boring work uniform you wear at home. I want something more gorgeous and alluring.”
“Of course, Miss Su. Do you mean something like this?”
The next second, Meng Wange changed into a rather Japanese-style maid outfit.
Her light-brown long hair was neatly tied into two sections and naturally fell over her shoulders. The fluffy black-and-white skirt spread gracefully across the floor, making Meng Wange look both elegant and adorable.
“…Y-yeah, that’s about right.”
Su Wanli silently covered the tip of her nose, concealing her face and the corners of her lips to prevent her proud villainess persona from accidentally suffering some major lapses—
“Next, stand beside the window, spin around twice, and say to me, ‘Welcome home, Master.'”
Hearing Su Wanli’s command, the exquisite maid naturally understood.
“Understood.”
Meng Wange slowly walked into the sunlight and smiled gently at Su Wanli. Then she lifted the hem of her skirt and spun around twice on the spot. The two ribbons behind her swayed lightly in the air with her movements—
“Welcome home, my dear Master.”
“…Pfft.”
Th-this is bad. My heart is beating so fast. My villainess persona is about to fall apart.
Su Wanli hurriedly patted her cheeks and shifted her gaze slightly away before saying in a deep voice—
“All right, Meng Wange. Next, go help me… um, count some money.”
Although Su Wanli had only said it casually, the next second, a small mountain of gold, silver, and jewels appeared beside Meng Wange. They were scattered carelessly across the floor, glittering brilliantly under the sunlight.
Staring at the scene, Su Wanli silently blinked and exchanged glances for several seconds with the obedient maid standing in the corner of the room.
“Hmm?”
Meng Wange curled the corners of her lips slightly and tilted her head toward Su Wanli in confusion—
“What’s wrong, Miss Su? Isn’t this what you wanted?”
“…Y-yes, it is, but…”
Su Wanli silently rubbed the bridge of her nose and tentatively said:
“Then next, Meng Wange, go conquer a world for me and lead all of humanity toward a united future?”
“Understood, Miss Su. Please wait a moment.”
Meng Wange lifted the hem of her skirt and gracefully curtsied to Su Wanli. Then several rocket launchers suddenly appeared beneath her skirt. With a tremendous roar, the entire roof of the room was blown away by the shockwave she unleashed.
Massive explosions rang out across the globe. Mushroom clouds of various colors rose into the sky from the ground, unleashing wave after wave of unbearable heat.
For some time afterward, the sky was constantly brightening and darkening as countless nations signed treaties.
“Miss Su, it’s all taken care of. These are the treaties signed by the nations of the world. From today onward, you are the Wang of Earth.”
Only the brown-haired girl, whose bangs had become somewhat disheveled after flying for such a long time, and the seemingly insignificant piece of paper in her hand remained. Su Wanli stared blankly and opened her mouth, wanting to give her another command, but for a moment, she found herself unable to say anything.
At this point, compared to giving orders, there seemed to be something more important that she needed to resolve herself…
Su Wanli silently swallowed, placed the treaty Meng Wange had handed her to the side, and looked her up and down.
“Um, Meng Wange, I… I want to ask you something.”
“Please, go ahead.”
Su Wanli hesitated for a moment before finally voicing all the doubts in her heart—
“You clearly… can already do things like this. So why do you still obey my commands, stay here and do everything I ask, putting on such an obedient appearance?”
“Could it be that you don’t want to be liberated from me and gain your freedom, or perhaps just overthrow me and become the Master yourself… or something like that?”
“Ah, I see. So that’s the question.”
Hearing this, Meng Wange smiled and rubbed her chin before gently shaking her head at Su Wanli—
“Miss Su, none of the things you just mentioned are what I want.”
“And what I truly want…”
She also brushed the dust from her clothes before walking gracefully toward Su Wanli, step by step. Finally, she leaned down slightly and whispered softly into Su Wanli’s ear—
“Do you… really not know?”
“Huh?”
Su Wanli instinctively retorted—
“Y-you mean, what you want? Of course I don’t know! How could I possibly know!?”
Hearing this, Meng Wange helplessly shook her head and extended her palm.
“Is that so? I see…”
Under Su Wanli’s astonished gaze, her palm gently lifted Su Wanli’s chin—
“It’s such a shame. I have already done so much for you, yet you still haven’t caught on. Miss Su, even I would find this very troublesome.”
She gently moved Su Wanli’s chin from side to side twice before finally curling the corners of her lips upward—
“Perhaps it’s time for me to do something… that even you can understand.”
“Wait, Meng…”
The next second, under Su Wanli’s slightly widened pupils, Meng Wange leaned in and kissed her.
That’s right. Meng Wange used her lips to precisely seal Su Wanli’s lips, which were still trying to say something.
“…!?”
It was a sensation as clear and airy as the atmosphere, as transparent as spring water. Although her lips seemed to touch nothing at all, Su Wanli still found herself unable to catch her breath for a moment.
Her mind went completely blank in that instant. She could only passively endure Meng Wange’s advance, sinking into the sudden softness.
“…Cough, pfft, cough, cough, cough, cough, cough, cough, cough, cough, cough…”
Then, accompanied by a sudden feeling of suffocation, Su Wanli abruptly sat up from the bed. She instinctively patted her chest with her palm and coughed violently several times.
“…I-it was a dream? That scene just now really was a dream!!”
Of course. Changing into an alluring maid outfit in a single second and letting herself order Meng Wange around however she pleased was one thing, but having Meng Wange conquer the entire world within an hour while wearing that outfit was simply asking too much of her…
Damn it. If she had known she was dreaming just now, she shouldn’t have tested her like that. She should have stayed in the dream longer and let Meng Wange do more things.
And now look what happened. After finally having such a wonderful dream, it had ended in this way…
Su Wanli slowly raised her head and scanned the room.
Naturally, there was no sign that the room had been blasted apart by a shockwave. There were only the same walls as always, the same chandelier as always, and—
The brown-haired girl sitting beside the bed, waiting for her to wake up with that same familiar smile.
“Hi, Miss Su. Good morning.”
Meng Wange was wearing a simple cotton loungewear set, making her whole appearance look soft and ordinary. She smiled while resting her cheek on her hand and greeted Su Wanli as she always did—
“I hope you have another wonderful day today.”
