“Ha-ha… Can I say sorry now?” Mo Liang’s voice trembled so much she could barely string her words together.
Because she was genuinely scared now. The Jiang Qing before her was even more terrifying than Xu Lingxue. Xu Lingxue was at most a pervert, but Jiang Qing was a complete and utter lunatic right now.
“Really, I truly know I was wrong.”
Her whole body trembled uncontrollably, and she desperately prayed in her heart that someone would walk past this alley.
Jiang Qing didn’t answer. She just buried her face in Mo Liang’s hair, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath.
“Oh? Sister, what exactly are you wrong about?”
“I shouldn’t have broken up with y—”
“Shut up.”
Before she could finish, the other girl cut her off.
Mo Liang immediately clamped her mouth shut, not even daring to breathe loudly.
Then, a cold sensation crept up from her waist.
“Ah…”
Mo Liang couldn’t help but let out a soft cry, tears suddenly streaming down her face, burning her cheeks bright red. She tried to struggle, but those hands only squeezed tighter, pressing her entire body firmly against the rough alley wall.
“Please don’t… we’re still outside… I’m begging you…”
“Hm? Be good, Mo Liang, sister.”
Jiang Qing lowered her head and kissed her, swallowing all her sobs and pleas in one go.
She looked up at Mo Liang’s tear-streaked face, her eyes churning with something—hatred, or perhaps something else entirely.
She just wanted to watch this person be destroyed by her own hands.
“Mm…”
Mo Liang’s tears kept flowing, her whole body shivering in Jiang Qing’s embrace.
Jiang Qing’s brutality finally came to an end.
Mo Liang collapsed against the wall, gasping for air, almost thinking she was going to be done for today.
“Let’s leave it here for now, Mo Liang, sister. Don’t run away, okay? Remember to add me back.”
“Otherwise… I think I know where your hometown is, right? Your little sister is pretty cute.”
Jiang Qing took half a step back, tilting her head to look at her. The flush on her face hadn’t faded yet, and her sweet smile was creepy enough to make one’s skin crawl.
“Stop talking! I get it!” Mo Liang nearly shouted, her chest heaving violently.
Faced with a lunatic like this, what could she do? Go to the police?
By the time that person got out of the station, her pathetic little life would probably be forfeit.
She looked into Jiang Qing’s eyes, wild with madness, and didn’t doubt for a second that the other girl meant every word.
In the end, she gave up all thoughts of resistance and obediently let the other girl pull her back into her arms.
“Alright, I still have things to do.”
Jiang Qing reluctantly let go, pressed a gentle kiss to Mo Liang’s forehead, then turned and walked toward the mouth of the alley.
She needed to thank Xu Lingxue. Actually… why not just keep working with her? Then the two of them could lock this cute little pet in the basement together. The three of them, together forever and ever.
Mo Liang leaned against the wall, watching Jiang Qing’s figure disappear at the alley’s entrance, and shuddered again.
She had no idea what the other girl was thinking. If she did, she probably would have burst into tears on the spot.
“Wuwu…”
Mo Liang slid down the wall until she was sitting, burying her face in her knees.
She had only wanted to help the other girl, so how did it end up like this?
She sobbed quietly, then looked down and saw that the pajamas Shen Zhiyi had lent her were already all wrinkled.
Good thing she’d thrown on a jacket before coming out.
She bit her lip and shakily straightened her clothes, her fingers still trembling.
She really wanted to go find Shen Zhiyi right now. It seemed like only that white-haired older sister wouldn’t bully her, wouldn’t pinch her, wouldn’t press her against the wall and grope her all over.
At that thought, tears welled up again, and she quickly wiped them away with the back of her hand.
Can’t cry, can’t cry. She took several deep breaths, forcing herself to suppress her emotions. She wiped the tear stains off her face, though her eyes were still red, the traces of crying impossible to hide.
She pushed herself up slowly against the wall, her legs still shaking. Why was this body so sensitive? Just being touched a few times made her go weak and unable to stand. How embarrassing.
Mo Liang lingered in the alley for a while longer, waiting until her legs regained their strength and most of the redness had faded from her face. Then she pulled up her jacket zipper, lowered her head, and quickly walked out of the alley.
At nine o’clock in the evening, Mo Liang appeared at the restaurant entrance right on time. There were barely any customers left inside. Shen Zhiyi was cleaning up the last table when she spotted that familiar little golden head peeking through the glass door, and the corner of her mouth curved up unconsciously.
“Let’s go.”
Shen Zhiyi changed out of her work uniform and walked out, her tone as flat as ever.
But she quickly noticed something off—today, Mo Liang was even clingier than usual.
The moment they met, she pressed herself against Shen Zhiyi’s side, their arms nearly touching, and their shoulders kept brushing against each other as they walked. Shen Zhiyi let out a faint sigh inwardly but didn’t push her away. Just think of her as a little sister, she told herself.
The two of them arrived at a KTV that Liu Yun had booked. It was fairly well-known in A City, and a lot of young people chose it for their birthdays.
A row of receptionists stood at the entrance, all decent-looking, wearing matching black-and-white uniforms. It looked pretty legit.
When they pushed open the private room door, quite a few people were already seated inside.
Liu Yun had changed out of her server uniform into casual clothes, her flashy red hair standing out especially bright under the dim lighting.
The guy sitting next to her was probably her boyfriend—pretty average-looking.
A few other people were scattered across the sofa, likely friends they’d each brought along.
“Zhiyi, over here!”
The moment Liu Yun saw them come in, she waved enthusiastically and scooted over to make room for Shen Zhiyi.
“Mo Liang’s here too?”
Mo Liang nodded and obediently followed Shen Zhiyi, squeezing in next to Liu Yun.
The spot Liu Yun had saved for Shen Zhiyi was only enough for one person if they squeezed. Now with Mo Liang added, the two of them were practically pressed into a single mass.
The sofa was too narrow. Half of Mo Liang’s butt was hanging off the edge, and her body kept sliding sideways into Shen Zhiyi, almost ending up in her lap.
She didn’t seem to mind at all, even deliberately inching closer to Shen Zhiyi.
Shen Zhiyi, on the other hand, was far less at ease. Mo Liang was wearing shorts, and those two slender, fair legs were just blatantly stretched out right in front of her.
The other girl, completely oblivious, kept rubbing against her, her warm body heat seeping through the thin fabric. Shen Zhiyi instinctively looked away, her throat suddenly going dry.
She lowered her eyes and met Mo Liang’s clean, innocent gaze.
The other girl seemed to have no idea what she was doing. Shen Zhiyi steadied herself and silently took off her own jacket, draping it over Mo Liang’s bare legs. There were guys in the room after all, so covering up like this was reasonable enough.
“You…” Mo Liang looked down at the jacket that had appeared on her legs, then up at Shen Zhiyi’s expressionless profile. In the end, she said nothing, but her face inexplicably felt a little warm.
