Chapter 42: Arriving at Soronwell, Mei Lin’s Desire for Control

“Look at what we have here, a group of adventurers wanting to go to Soronwell.”

A group of horses approached from afar.

The leading thief gripped a curved blade and grinned as he spoke.

Li Si glanced at the opposite side.

It looked like a thief group, more than twenty people in total, mostly between Level 15 and 18.

More than twenty people all rode horses.

The moment they ran close, they dispersed and completely surrounded everyone.

“Hey, you know the rules around here, right!”

The thief leader wore a tall top hat, his pair of eyes as fierce as an eagle’s.

Li Si understood the rules here very well.

This situation was Open-Field PvP.

In the past when they could revive, encountering people in the wild meant killing and robbing at will.

Back then it could be explained as having infinite revives so it did not matter, but now, still doing this, they were either stupid or evil.

Encountering this situation, no need to say more, just fight and be done with it.

Li Si directly drew her sword and charged quickly toward the thief who looked like the leader.

“Hey! Not giving face when given face! Our group leader already notified in the regional channel! Anyone passing through here has to leave”

“ding——”

The thief leader was suddenly startled.

The curved blade in his hand was instantly flicked away.

“How is this possible! So fast!”

The leader widened his eyes.

Looking ahead, where was the person?

Just as he was about to search, when he turned his head a fist the size of a bread loaf smashed over, instantly sending the whole person flying off the horseback.

“This warrior is so fast!”

“Quick, surround her!”

Several thieves turned their horse heads wanting to go forward, but before they could turn in that direction, a black-skirted figure had already arrived in front first.

Without any extra movements, it was a punch straight to the face.

In the blink of an eye, another four thieves were knocked off their horsebacks.

At this, everyone realized that this silver-haired female warrior had agility twice as fast as adventurers of the same level, practically comparable to a Level 20 existence.

“This… this guy is not right… Who… who are you! Report your name!”

Li Si rotated her wrist, ignoring the thief leader who had climbed back up, and instead looked with a head full of question marks toward Ailin and the fellow adventurers.

These guys all had one hand holding bread and the other beef soup.

Not to mention coming up to help, there was not even one making a sound.

They were all busy eating.

On the contrary, Lili Ya and Liewata had already stood up preparing to join the battlefield.

“Boss, this time the mark is hard…”

One thief had already led the horse head and started retreating.

With this retreat, the other thieves also began to stir restlessly.

After all, a warrior who had not even changed class was this capable in fighting.

This group still had seven or eight who had not made a move.

Although the numerical advantage was on our side, looking closely their goods were not really valuable, mostly some combat traps and such, not like a merchant caravan, but like poor adventurers.

“Damn it! Do you not know who manages this road! Our boss is the strongest Shadow Assassin in Soronwell!”

The thief group leader roared, originally wanting to use the boss’s name to suppress the other side, but the other side did not care at all.

Li Si tilted her head.

He Zi was really pitiful, no matter where she had to take two backstabs from peers.

These thieves of course could not be He Zi’s subordinates, but one could not say they completely were not.

After all, if He Zi wanted to order them around, with just one sentence they would flock to her.

“Lord He Zi would never allow you to do this kind of thing.”

Ailin finished chewing the bread, and right then stepped forward drawing her sword.

With her drawing the sword, the entire Violet Team drew their swords.

“Damn it! A bunch of ungrateful guys! If you do not pay then pray you best not meet us in Soronwell!”

The thief group leader glanced at the supplies in the camp, confirming it was not worth the risk, decisively mounted and turned the horse, viciously throwing down a final harsh word.

“Our group leader is someone who has cleared The First Dungeon! Just you wait!”

“Oh.”

Li Si oh’d once, glancing at the regional channel.

Inside there was a threat message still flooding the screen.

[Soronwell Thief King: Everyone passing by must pay me 10 gold as passage fee! I am someone who has conquered the Dungeon!]

Seeing the people had all run off, Li Si sheathed her sword, walked back to the side of the campfire, and saw Jian was still crying, but much more steady than when they first set out on the road, at least not running or hiding.

Really not knowing how to comfort her, Li Si could only silently sit beside her, thinking about tomorrow’s handover.

If it really did not work, could only just send her back into her sister’s hands like this.

Just did not know if there would be misunderstanding, after all she herself was famously not good in the reputation aspect.

“You have not eaten yet, right.”

Suddenly, Jian’s crying lightened, becoming sobs one after another.

At the same time a small piece of bread pinched between thumb and index finger was slowly delivered to the mouth.

Li Si was stunned for a moment.

Originally wanted to say she had eaten, but seeing Jian’s gaze carrying a bit of atoning desire, still opened her mouth.

With the first piece of bread eaten, Jian seemed to have obtained some kind of permission, softly said: “I should not have hit you…”

“Mm..”

Li Si echoed once.

Seeing another piece of bread delivered to the mouth, could only open her mouth again.

Lips touched the fingertips.

Jian lightly dodged backward, but still gathered courage to continue feeding the next piece.

She seemed to want to express the guilt in her heart through this action, but all the way until feeding finished the entire bread, she still could not forgive herself.

She choked wanting to say many words, but no matter what could not say them out.

She looked at Li Si’s face, looking at that face without any blame, clear and calm, ashamed to the point of not daring to raise her head.

Suddenly, a section of slender fingertip pinching a piece of bread was fed to the mouth side.

Jian blankly looked toward the side.

The desert night wind blew past that face under the silver hair.

That face curved the corners of the mouth, striving to make a not so awkward inquiry.

“You also have not eaten yet, right.”

Jian blankly opened her mouth.

That person fed very awkwardly, fingertips even touched the teeth, but for some reason, the body that had abnormally rejected food these two days, at this moment was willing to swallow, and felt satisfied for it.

“Damn it.! Damn it ah! I also want to be fed bread by Lord Li Si!!!!”

Liewata watched this scene, her whole person stifled.

Although staying together with Li Si for a day today was very happy, but she had not been this intimate with Li Si yet ah!

She also wanted those slender beautiful fingers to tear the bread bit by bit and feed into her mouth ah!

Suddenly, she felt a bit cold beside her.

Turning her head to look, instantly felt the cold wind piercing the bones.

Lili Ya hugged her staff, silently sitting by the campfire, eyes staring straight at the opposite side.

In those clear eyes, similarly hidden some color of desire.

Liewata felt she had found a kindred spirit, could not help wanting to form an alliance, together work hard for being fed by Lord Li Si, but Lili Ya’s state was suddenly so cold and indifferent, no matter how she said there was no reaction.

Suddenly Lili Ya’s lips lightly pressed together.

Liewata followed Lili Ya’s gaze to look, instantly envied again.

That blonde little girl for some reason, while being fed fell asleep.

Li Si at this moment was carrying her back to the carriage.

Liewata sighed.

When could she get Li Si’s embrace.

Li Si had just put Jian down, instantly felt the atmosphere around was a bit off.

Beside came a whistle sound.

“chiu~”

Ailin blew a whistle and smiled by saying, “Li Si if you were a man, I would definitely fall in love with you.”

Li Si smiled and replied, “Women are also fine, I do not mind this.”

‘After all it was yuri, who still minded this, as long as I attack and others receive, is it not all the same?’

Ailin instantly was amused, even said there was a chance to try.

Li Si was also amused.

Although when first setting out Ailin was a bit rejecting of herself, but after truly getting to know, Ailin was actually quite interesting.

Just wanting to crack a dirty joke with this guy to enter the comfort zone of a shut-in, suddenly the Adventurer Panel popped up a somewhat headache-inducing message.

[Mei Lin: Arrived at Soronwell. About our matter, how have you considered it.]
