Inside the small cell, Nuo Ai’er sat cross-legged on the floor, her mind full of the shadow that had just burst through the door.
The more she recalled, the more familiar it seemed…
“Wait, I know this!”
‘No wonder it looks so familiar—isn’t that thing Camilla’s talent puppet?!’
Nuo Ai’er immediately tensed up.
‘Is Camilla in this dungeon too?’
She did issue a murder declaration against me, but this dungeon is a pure player vs player match between the Glaze Guild and the Falcon Guild. Logically, only members of the two guilds should be fighting each other.
Camilla is a third-party professional assassin… she shouldn’t be allowed to join.
‘Could it be… Camilla is part of the Falcon Guild?’
The world can’t be that small.
But logically, that doesn’t add up either…
If she were from the Falcon Guild, why would that black puppet have attacked their own teammate Tina too?
A no-discrimination double kill, no mercy at all.
“Ugh, dizzy…”
One mystery after another piled up in her head, spinning Nuo Ai’er into confusion.
‘Forget it, instead of guessing blindly, I might as well probe her directly.’
With that decision, Nuo Ai’er immediately raised her small hand and lightly knocked “knock knock” on the cell’s wooden door.
At this point in the timeline, Stella hadn’t yet gone out for patrol; she was resting in the living room of the wooden cabin.
Stella slid open a panel on the door, and her face appeared before Nuo Ai’er.
The twin-tailed girl raised an eyebrow: “Trying to pull some little trick again?”
Nuo Ai’er didn’t beat around the bush, and asked directly:
“Is there someone named Camilla in your Falcon Guild?”
“Camilla?” Hearing the unfamiliar name, Stella paused, then her face twisted in disgust.
“How could our guild have a person like that? That name sounds so dumb, like some loser whose husband ran off with another woman, then after being resurrected got blown up by that same husband who saw the light.”
“Heh.”
‘Yeah, that’s true’
Nuo Ai’er nodded furiously in her mind about Camilla being a stupid name.
After finishing her mental jab, Nuo Ai’er pressed on with the key clue: “Then does your guild have anyone whose talent is controlling puppets?”
“Controlling puppets, huh… seems like… Hey, what are you getting at?”
The moment those words left her mouth, the previously carefree Stella instantly darkened, her entire aura turning cold.
She keenly sensed something was off.
A captive with no way to fight back, instead of behaving, is snooping into the guild’s personnel talents and member information…
Who’s the prisoner here anyway? (Annoyed)
Whoosh—
The door was yanked open, and Stella stepped inside, black whip in hand.
“Hey?!”
Before Nuo Ai’er could react, the flexible whip precisely coiled around her.
“Aaah, I’m tied up!”
The whip first bound Nuo Ai’er’s hands behind her back, then wrapped around her waist and hips, and finally Stella gave a light flick and pull.
“Ugh…”
The force pulled Nuo Ai’er forward, her little bottom obediently stuck up, the position firmly fixed, unable to move an inch.
Stella leaned down and stared at her:
“You’ve got some guts, little thing. A prisoner of all people, daring to interrogate me for information?”
‘That really is turning the tables…’ Nuo Ai’er thought to herself.
“If you dare snoop into things you shouldn’t again, I’ll whip your little bottom. Got it?” Stella threatened viciously.
“Eeep, I-I understand!”
Nuo Ai’er froze, instantly cowering completely.
She didn’t dare resist, obediently shrinking her body, nodding her little head rapidly, looking very well-behaved.
Seeing she was truly scared, Stella didn’t actually follow through with punishment.
Interrogating a little loli was fun, but she preferred them tougher. Nuo Ai’er was already so scared; breaking her in wouldn’t be enjoyable.
Stella casually released the whip’s restraint.
“Stay put and behave.”
With that warning, Stella turned and left the cell, locking the door.
Nuo Ai’er slumped to the floor, letting out a long breath, patting her chest in relief.
She almost got whipped again…
But fortunately, through the probe just now and Stella’s reaction, she confirmed a key piece of information.
Camilla is not a member of the Falcon Guild.
The Falcon Guild likely doesn’t have anyone with a puppet talent either.
Since she doesn’t belong to either side, then why did Camilla’s black puppet suddenly appear in this guild dungeon?
“So troublesome…”
Nuo Ai’er hugged her arms, unable to make sense of it.
The mysteries remained piled up…
Alright, regardless, at least one thing Nuo Ai’er was absolutely sure of!
Once Stella leaves, within ten minutes, the black puppet will definitely break in and double-kill both her and Tina!
Two little lolis against the black puppet? Their combat power is completely inadequate. The only outcome is both turning into loli fragments (sad).
To survive, the only way is to keep the strongest fighter here—Stella!
Worst case scenario, a third party has appeared in the game… At this point, Nuo Ai’er has to rely on the Falcon Guild’s strength.
After all, they definitely wouldn’t want to lose for no reason either.
Then Nuo Ai’er raised her small hand again, knocking hard on the cell door—”knock knock knock.”
Stella slid open the panel again, her expression a forced smile:
“Really, are you some kind of masochist loli? If you want me to spank your bottom, you can just say so.”
Ignoring her fear, Nuo Ai’er hurriedly shouted: “No, no! Listen to me! It’s like this! Soon…”
Then Nuo Ai’er told Stella about the black puppet’s upcoming attack.
At first, Stella didn’t believe it.
But seeing Nuo Ai’er’s serious face, full of panic and fear, her eyes as sincere as if she had died once already,
Stella’s originally confident attitude was strangely shaken by her expression.
‘…Is it true?’
With a shred of doubt, Stella temporarily suppressed her urge to go out, and said coldly:
“Fine, I’ll wait a bit. If you’re lying to me, you’re dead.”
And so, one minute, ten minutes, half an hour slowly passed.
A whole hour went by.
The wooden cabin was quiet, no sign of a black-clothed figure breaking in.
“Hey…”
Stella’s patience was completely exhausted, her face pitch-black.
“Don’t tell me you’re afraid I’ll eliminate your teammate, so you lied to keep me here and waste time?!”
Stella burst in, raised her whip and gave a few light strikes, binding Nuo Ai’er up.
“Eeek, I don’t know!” Nuo Ai’er was stunned.
That’s not right—the puppet should have been here by now!
“Prepare yourself!” Stella aimed at Nuo Ai’er’s bottom.
“Ohohoh, help—!”
***
Five minutes later.
“Hmph, lying little brat, just asking for a spanking… Tina, I’m heading out for a bit!”
Having vented her anger, Stella no longer believed Nuo Ai’er’s nonsense, turned, and left for patrol, storming away.
In the cell, Nuo Ai’er held her bottom, eyes red, crying in grievance:
“Wuwu, that can’t be right…”
Even though the time had passed…
Just then, Tina walked in.
Seeing Nuo Ai’er’s pitiful state, she frowned, then sighed, and still raised her hand to release a faint blue healing magic, gently soothing the red marks on Nuo Ai’er’s pale skin from the whipping.
“You really are an idiot. Deceiving Stella is never a good idea. She never goes easy on disobedient lolis.”
Nuo Ai’er couldn’t help muttering in confusion: “What? Have you been hit by her before?”
Hearing that, Tina fell silent, deliberately avoiding the topic:
“Making up a lie about a black-clothed attacker and keeping Stella here is pointless. Stalling only makes you suffer more.”
Nuo Ai’er puffed out her cheeks, muttering unconvinced: “I’m not lying… someone really is coming…”
Then, just as her voice trailed off…
BOOM—!!
A thunderous crash of the door shattering exploded!
The old wooden door was kicked in with brute force, splinters flying, dust rising.
The faceless black puppet arrived exactly as promised.
“Aah, aaaaah?!!!”
Nuo Ai’er’s pupils shook, completely stunned.
How?!
Why didn’t it come earlier?
Right when Stella leaves…
“You bully the weak and fear the strong, damn it!”
“Yaaaah!!!”
The sudden terrifying shadow made Tina’s eyes widen in shock; she instinctively hugged Nuo Ai’er.
Inside the narrow cell, the two lolis clung together, crisp screams ringing out one after another.
The black puppet moved swiftly and cleanly, without a moment’s pause. A flash of cold steel blade.
Both lolis fell to the ground simultaneously.
Familiar darkness enveloped Nuo Ai’er’s vision…
