The warm steam faded away, Yisela stretched lazily, her silver hair still damp, like a cat that had just finished bathing.
The silk nightgown, carrying the scent of sunshine, hung loosely on her, revealing round, fair shoulders.
That massage earlier was a stroke of genius. Now every pore of her body felt comfortable, and even the perpetually frowning fallen angel seemed less irritating.
She sat cross-legged on the rug, tilting her head as she curiously observed the fallen angel who was tidying up the towel.
“Hey, you.”
Yisela cleared her throat, trying to sound more authoritative.
“This princess just realized that calling you ‘hey’ isn’t very polite. Do you have a name?”
The fallen angel paused, turned around, and those pale golden eyes remained as unruffled as ever.
“Your Highness, I have no name.”
“Huh?”
Yisela’s eyes widened, as if she had heard something unbelievable.
“How can you have no name?”
“Are you a nameless person?”
“Or a passerby?”
“Your so-called Master is so inconsiderate!”
“He doesn’t even give you a name, treating people like tools! If it were me, I would have given my servants the best gems from the Dragon’s Nest as gifts. How could there be such a stingy Master.”
She secretly grumbled in her heart.
‘If it were me, I would have already taken the Dragon’s Nest…’
The fallen angel lowered her eyes, her voice as calm as a pool of dead water.
“Names are unnecessary bonds.”
“I am my Master’s blade. A blade needs no name, only sharpness.”
“Tch, you’ve been brainwashed beyond hope.”
Yisela pursed her lips, then her eyes suddenly sparkled as if she had caught a loophole.
“Since you’re a blade, a blade should be good at fighting, right?”
“Hey!”
“Can you help me get stronger?”
She leaned in closer, a sly glint flashing in her ruby-like eyes.
“Your Master didn’t forbid you from doing that, did he?”
“After all, getting stronger means I can work for him better, right?”
The fallen angel was silent for two seconds, as if retrieving core commands.
After a moment, she nodded.
“I can.”
“If this makes Your Highness happy and helps with my Master’s plan, I can provide auxiliary training.”
“Yay!”
Yisela nearly jumped, then waved her hand, pretending to be calm.
“What are we waiting for?”
“Hurry up!”
“This princess feels the primordial power in her body can no longer be contained!”
The fallen angel did not say much, just made a gesture inviting her to follow.
The two passed through a dim corridor and arrived at a spacious underground plaza.
Surrounded by broken stone pillars, the fractured walls were covered in unknown ancient runes, and above their heads was a simulated dim starry sky.
It was like a forgotten Ancient Training Ground.
The fallen angel stood in the center of the plaza and turned to look at Yisela.
“First, I need to assess your current power baseline.”
“Please use all your strength and strike me with your strongest attack.”
“Use all my strength?”
Yisela raised an eyebrow, put her hands on her hips, and puffed out her still-developing chest.
“Are you sure?”
“Don’t blame this princess for being too rough if you end up crying!”
“I don’t do comforting!”
“Please begin.”
The fallen angel stood expressionless, hands hanging naturally, with no defensive posture at all.
“Hmph, how reckless!”
Yisela stepped back a few paces and took a deep breath.
‘Although most of the Dragon God’s power inside me is sealed, this little bit left should be more than enough to deal with a small fallen angel, right?’
She struck an extremely chuunibyou starting pose, right fist at her waist, left hand stretched forward.
“Watch closely!”
“This fist is called—Dragon God Fist!”
“Its power is astonishing. I created it when I achieved enlightenment while eating a whole roasted lamb!”
With a spirited shout, the faint magic power within Yisela began to gather.
Although it was less than ten percent of usual, a small golden orb the size of a ping pong ball formed in her palm.
The fallen angel watched the orb calmly, not even a flutter of her eyelashes.
“I was kidding!”
Just as the orb was about to be released, Yisela suddenly changed her move.
“It’s actually—Flying Dragon Kick!!”
She stomped the ground, her small body erupting with astonishing speed, charging forward like a silver cannonball.
Using the momentum, she executed a beautiful spinning kick, with a whistling wind pressure, and slammed it into the fallen angel’s unguarded abdomen!
Bang!
The kick landed solidly.
The tremendous impact stirred up dust everywhere, and the air around seemed to tremble.
“Phew…! Phew!”
Yisela supported herself with one hand on the ground, maintaining her landing pose, with a fine layer of sweat on her forehead.
She looked with satisfaction at her still slightly trembling calf, a smug smile curling at the corner of her mouth.
“Alright, alright, don’t start crying.”
Yisela stood up, brushed the dust off her skirt, with an expression that said, ‘I did my best.’
“This princess still held back, after all, if you got hurt, who would give me a massage?”
However, when the dust cleared, the scene before her made Yisela’s smile freeze on her face.
The fallen angel was still standing right there, not having moved an inch.
On her pure white robe, there wasn’t even a single wrinkle added.
That powerful Flying Dragon Kick just now seemed only to have lightly dusted her off.
The fallen angel raised a hand, lightly patted the dust that wasn’t on her shoulder, her tone still flat and emotionless:
“Attack power: C.”
“Speed: D.”
“Magic control: F.”
“I roughly understand your strength now.”
“How is this possible!”
Yisela’s mouth hung open, her worldview seemed to collapse at that moment.
The fallen angel ignored her shock, lightly tapped her finger, and took out a small glass bottle from the void.
She uncorked it and gently shook it.
Splat.
A green, semi-translucent, bubbling viscous object dropped to the ground.
The thing wobbled, slowly stood up, and turned into a Slime the size of a palm.
It blinked its big eyes at Yisela and made a cute sound, “Boing boing.”
“This is the specialized training opponent selected for you.”
The fallen angel pointed at the Slime and said seriously.
“According to data analysis, its various stats are evenly matched with your current strength.”
“I hope this battle will bring you joy.”
Dead silence.
Yisela looked at the Slime that was being cute at her, then at the solemn-faced fallen angel.
One second. Two seconds.
