The memory ended.

And the reality before her was just too cruel.

Yisela lay on that cold Dragon’s Nest bed.

Her stomach let out another rumbling protest.

She gritted her teeth.

She tried to force herself up from that Dragon’s Nest bed.

But her body was just too weak.

Without the support of divine power, the moment she stood up, her legs went soft.

She collapsed straight to the ground.

Yisela lay face-down on the dusty floor of the Dragon’s Nest.

Her tears started flowing again.

She cried and shouted loudly.

“Waaah, I want to eat some roasted meat so bad, I want to soak in a hot spring. I also really miss Sister Keluolinde.”

“No, no! I don’t miss Sister Keluolinde at all! I only want to eat right now!”

As she cried, she wiped her eyes with her sleeve.

‘What are you crying for?’ she encouraged herself in her heart.

‘You’re still the strongest dragon on the continent.’

‘If those small fries find out you’re crying like a pitiful wreck, won’t they laugh their heads off?’

Tears still clung to Yisela’s eyes.

After a short silence, she lowered her head, looking at her limp dragon tail, and said in a very low voice.

“If one day I’m no longer as strong as before…”

“Will anyone still care about me?”

Just as Yisela was about to break down crying again—

From outside the Dragon’s Nest came the sound of footsteps.

From the sound of it, there was more than one person.

The footsteps were light and rhythmic.

It sounded like high-heeled boots stepping on stone.

Yisela’s crying stopped abruptly.

She jerked her head up.

Her swollen eyes were full of panic.

But quickly, she forced a haughty expression onto her face.

She shouted toward the entrance, trying to drown her trembling with volume.

“If you’re here to bring me food, then I’ll graciously forgive your crime of trespassing into my home!”

“If not…”

“Hmph!”

“This princess is in a good mood today.”

“If you clean this entire Dragon’s Nest for me, I’ll let you go.”

No one answered her.

Only the footsteps growing closer and closer.

And with the footsteps came a faint scent.

It was a mix of holy light, rose fragrance, and an indescribable dangerous smell.

Yisela’s nose twitched involuntarily.

She felt like she had smelled this scent somewhere before.

It was like back at the Holy Light Cathedral, when she had lifted that person up and spanked her bottom—!

The Holy Maiden of Light, Seraphina?!

No. No way.

Yisela froze completely.

Her body stiffened.

She scrambled and crawled deeper into the Dragon’s Nest.

‘Her!’ she thought. ‘How did she find this place?’

‘And how does she know I’m here?’

The footsteps stopped at the entrance of the Dragon’s Nest.

A tall, slender figure stood silhouetted against the light outside.

A white holy dress, golden hair.

In her hand was a scepter that emitted a faint glow.

It was the Holy Maiden of Light.

Except now, she no longer looked like the miserable, crying pushover from before.

Her face wore an unreadable smile.

It looked gentle, yet it sent chills down one’s spine.

“Princess Yisela Frostscale.”

The Holy Maiden’s voice still sounded beautiful—but there was a hint of mockery in it that Yisela had never heard before.

“I hear that right now…”

“You’re hungry?”

Behind the Holy Maiden seemed to stand other people.

Yisela squinted to see.

Behind the Holy Maiden, she could faintly make out a flash of silver-green hair and a pair of pointed elf ears.

That’s the Elven Queen, Sylvanas?!

That old woman!

She came too!!

She’s done for—ever since she transmigrated into this world, she had often gone to the elf territory to play.

Just because there were so many pretty girls there.

Despair flooded Yisela’s heart.

‘That’s it…!’ she thought. ‘I’m going to be turned into roasted dragon meat.’

But soon, she snapped her eyes open wide.

She resumed shouting toward the entrance.

“What are you looking at!”

“This princess…!”

“This princess is not hungry!”

“I’m practicing my dragon roar!”

“Got it?”

“That’s right! I’m accumulating magic power!”

“You small fries better get out of here right now!”

“Or else I might accidentally breathe some dragon breath and blast you all to bits!”
