Today was another leisurely day, a chance to rest for a moment.
Having just returned from the Dream World, Su Mu knew that even if she was anxious to be promoted to B-rank, she needed to maintain a balance between work and rest.
In her spare time, she should do the things she loved.
She felt like she couldn’t wait to make some “blood-boiling” remarks.
With that thought in mind, Su Mu opened her computer, her slender, fair fingers hovering over the keyboard.
She told herself she was just going to look at some posts; she didn’t intend to do anything else.
She was back!
After a long absence from the Magical Girl Forum, the Genius Girl Irina had returned…
Under Tang Nai’s back-channel operations, Su Mu’s account had been unbanned.
However, if she tried to livestream, she would be banned again.
Still, simply posting comments was perfectly fine.
A featured post on the Forum: The Fallen Megastar—Genius Girl Irina.
‘Let me see if anyone misses me…’
Su Mu’s face hardened, and she felt the urge to act immediately.
She wanted to show these people who were holding a “cyber-funeral” for her what a real resurrection looked like.
“Do you all remember the Magical Girl Irina who went viral a while ago? Everyone surely remembers that face of hers; she really gave everyone a huge scare. Even though she’s a Magical Girl, she used magic to play tricks on everyone. Her personality was just way too mischievous. Fortunately, she was blocked by a mysterious force in a timely manner. Now, she’s probably at the Magical Girl Academy or somewhere similar, undergoing personality correction and secret guidance. Tee-hee, how heart-warming.”
“However, this post isn’t just to denounce Irina’s pranks. It’s simply to take stock of the various milestones in Irina’s life. Consider it a chronicle of the past. After all, she is the only living Magical Girl on the Magical Girl Forum so far.”
Su Mu laughed out of spite.
She didn’t rush to complain but instead scrolled through the comments to see how others were reacting.
She grumbled inwardly, ‘What do you mean? That was a battle of wits at the summit—I totally crushed Tang Yuan! Luckily I’m not a Magical Girl right now. If I were trapped by these people’s definitions, my body would probably shrink again the moment I woke up tomorrow.’
Since she was at home, Su Mu sat with a complete lack of poise.
Her smooth pink hair was draped over her shoulders, and her two long, white legs were curled up on the chair.
Her rounded toes tapped rhythmically.
She wore a thin, oversized men’s style pajama top that hung loosely, revealing half of her fragrant shoulder.
She used to think that a Magical Girl should maintain an elegant and decent image even when alone.
Only after she became a unique beauty herself did she realize that was pure nonsense.
Forget her, and forget Ye Wanqing—even Luo Jialan had been casual about her appearance during those nine days and nights they spent together at the dojo.
Luo Jialan would often wear nothing but a long T-shirt that barely reached the tops of her thighs as a dress, leaving her slender, beautiful legs exposed for all to see.
However, both Luo Jialan and Ye Wanqing had learned how to apply makeup before becoming Magical Girls.
According to them, even if it wasn’t to maintain a beautiful image, changing styles occasionally was nice.
It was just that the perfect image of a Magical Girl made such decorations redundant, so they had abandoned it entirely.
As for why Ye Wanqing’s soft little belly hadn’t been “optimized” away, it was clearly because that plump fleshiness added a lot of charm.
At least to Su Mu, both the feel and the sight were quite satisfying.
A few days ago, the house had been exceptionally crowded with nine girls, and everyone had been a bit restrained.
Su Mu’s days had been quite pleasant, but only being able to snuggle affectionately with Luo Jialan had left her wanting more.
This made her look forward to returning to the future even more.
Until she stepped into B-rank, however, that would remain a distant hope.
Thinking of this, Su Mu chuckled helplessly, set the thought aside, and continued scanning the comments.
“Do you think Irina was actually a Strange Person posing as a Magical Girl—using the title just to play devil’s advocate, argue intensely with everyone, and torment us? Maybe she just wanted to provoke everyone to satisfy her needs as a Strange Person.”
‘If I poke you like that, your account will be gone.’
Su Mu silently replied to the comment with a red-faced angry emoji, holding back the truth.
‘If I were in the future with my handheld console, my little fingers would… Putting all that aside, I actually miss Irina’s little stories. To be honest, they were really well-written. They just weren’t very practical. Why write about Pure Love between a Magical Girl and a Witch? If it were up to me, I’d change it to something more explosive…’
Su Mu reported the comment with a dark expression, coughing lightly and unintentionally.
‘Don’t just bring up someone’s dark history. Kid, there are some things you’re better off not knowing.’
Further down, the comments were mostly boring jeers.
Su Mu scrolled back up to continue reading the post.
“First, Irina’s debut relied on the Pure Love daily life between her and Lando. I have deep doubts about this. Unless I see photos with my own eyes, or she adds me as a friend and posts daily life photos of the two of them on her feed every day, I’m withholding my opinion.”
‘Good grief, I can practically hear the clatter of your calculations from here. If you like the daily life of a Magical Girl so much, why don’t you try being one yourself? The higher the level, the bigger the surprise.’
“Immediately after that, Irina started being dishonest. After all, a Mesugaki has a psychological need to be disciplined. She went around posting trash and playing devil’s advocate under everyone’s posts. She was incredibly rampant. Looking back now, it was nothing. The veterans on this forum have long since maxed out their poison resistance. Anyone who gets into a flaming war with a Mesugaki still needs more tempering.”
Su Mu gave a disdainful smile.
‘Hmph, actually, what really needs tempering is your aggressiveness. So many people came at me at once, and I didn’t see anyone win an argument against me.’
Although Su Mu had been hurt by the cold reactions when she first returned, people had to look forward.
It was normal to meet the wrong people or have poor luck with friends.
She already considered herself quite fortunate.
“Later came the livestreaming period everyone is most familiar with. During this time, Irina was basically just a person using an avatar. If she didn’t show her face, who would know what she looked like underneath? We all know the situation with avatar users. If someone can compete with their looks, why would they bother with their soul? They’d just join the beauty circle. But someone as beautiful as Tang Yuan gets boring after a while. Occasionally looking at an avatar is fine—but even though Irina could have competed with her looks, she insisted on using her toxic soul to harass everyone. She definitely has a natural streak of malice.”
Su Mu curled her lip.
‘If my soul is at a toxic level, then Tang Nai must be… I should ask her for some advice. I’ll specialize in poisoning blowfish—the kind where one sentence knocks out a whole crowd.’
“But even though Irina did plenty of bad things, she did one good thing before her graduation: she absolutely crushed Tang Yuan. Now Tang Yuan’s mental state is shattered, and she doesn’t dare to insult people anymore. They say she has nightmares whenever Irina is mentioned. Her personality really is a lot better than before, and her follower count is actually increasing.”
Mentioning Tang Yuan made Su Mu a little curious, ‘What was that girl she had crushed currently up to? If I hop into her livestreaming room again, will I scare her into crying?’
With that thought, Su Mu left the post and clicked into Tang Yuan’s livestream.
It happened to be in progress, and the moment Su Mu entered, she saw that familiar, pretty face.
Her features were still exquisite, and her makeup was even more beautiful than it had been that day.
But her seductive, fox-like eyes seemed to have grown slightly docile.
Was it just an illusion?
At the moment, Tang Yuan was dealing with a donation from a patron, performing various thanks.
It left Su Mu momentarily speechless.
‘Regardless, it’s a bit boring… but her followers really have increased…’
Suddenly, Su Mu’s eyes were drawn to some words on Tang Yuan’s homepage.
She couldn’t look away.
“I used to be too arrogant. I have since learned my lesson and joined Sun Chuan’s Streaming Alliance.”
Su Mu would never forget those two words.
‘Sun Chuan? Isn’t that the person who causes even more trouble than me? What if she’s a Strange Person too…’
‘That’s impossible. If that were the case, the Combat Division would have sent her to the dark room long ago.’
As soon as the thought appeared, Su Mu laughed it off.
But out of curiosity, she searched for “Sun Chuan’s Streaming Alliance” online.
What she found gave her a shock.
‘One couldn’t achieve these results just by being a troll—10,000,000 followers? Just from being an eccentric troll?’
It was staggering.
The entire streaming alliance was made up of remarkable beauties, but not a single thing they did was decent.
They either gave haircuts on the street or did “Didi Hitting,” a service for beating people up.
It was malicious to the extreme.
Su Mu browsed through the content randomly.
Her eyes swept over a group photo of the “vile women,” but she felt a strange sensation.
She quickly scrolled back and carefully compared the faces of those women with her memories.
Sure enough, two women in the second row looked familiar.
Su Mu searched her mind for a moment and finally found the corresponding information.
They looked similar to the two Witches she had seen in the Witch Secret Realm, but similarity alone might not be enough to draw a conclusion…
Su Mu continued looking, her intuition told her the problem went deeper.
When her gaze passed over the face of the girl in the center-left of the first row—to the left of Sun Chuan—a jolt like an electric shock ran through her consciousness, alerting her.
‘That’s the woman who blocked me in front of Yanyu Tower!’
At the time, the woman hadn’t given her name, but that high-pitched, affected way of speaking and her fox-like appearance had left a vivid impression on Su Mu.
‘If Motes hadn’t been there, she would have kidnapped me!’
Thinking of this, Su Mu clenched her pink fists and shook them indignantly.
‘Once I reach B-rank, I’ll definitely give her what’s coming to her!’
Just as Su Mu’s mood soured and she was prepared to close the computer, she suddenly remembered Tang Nai’s warning.
“Be careful after leaving the Dream World. You’ve provoked so many people; you might run into big trouble again. I won’t help you this time.”
If those two Witches were members of this so-called alliance, then that would mean…
Su Mu quickly shook her head, trying to convince herself to drop the thought.
‘It can’t be that unlucky. Tang Yuan joined too, so it’s definitely not what I’m thinking. It’s just a coincidence. A coincidence…’
