“Wow, is that one over there a spirit pet? It looks so cute.”
“It’s cute, but I think the owner is even cuter than the pet.”
The next morning, considering that little Su Xixi had been listless and out of sorts the previous night—likely bored from being cooped up at home—Su Qi did something out of character and woke up very early.
At 5:00 AM, he carried the little creature to the children’s play area of the Lin Hidden Mansion.
Although Su Xixi wasn’t a human toddler, there was no sense of’ incongruity as she played on the small slides and swings.
Perhaps it was because Su Xixi was simply too fluffy and adorable.
Even though it was early enough that most children should have been sleeping, after Su Xixi and Su Qi arrived, several early-rising children were drawn to the window and eventually came out to join the fun.
Likely due to having a similar mental age, Su Xixi quickly made several human toddler friends.
“Giggle~ It’s Xixi’s turn to catch you!”
“Xixi~”
“Xixi, come catch me!”
Watching Su Xixi play happily with the three to five-year-olds who had just started kindergarten, and seeing the parents who had come along to watch their children so early in the morning, Su Qi felt a sense of healing and wonder. He wondered if he should enroll this little guy in a kindergarten.
After all, kindergarten was a happy place where they did nothing but eat and play all day.
The little guy would probably love it.
And with Su Xixi’s personality, she should be able to pass the entrance tests.
‘Wait, my current line of thinking…’
‘Why does it feel more and more like I’m a parent?’
He shook his head, tossing aside the strange thought. Seeing Su Xixi having a blast with the other children, Su Qi didn’t disturb her. Instead, he quietly flipped through his mobile phone.
After returning to the Lin Hidden Mansion last night, Ye Fufu had mentioned that she would go to the hospital to visit his sister.
Yesterday, because so many things had happened and he had discovered the changes to his body after his shower, Su Qi had fallen straight asleep.
Now that he had some downtime, Su Qi opened his phone. He soon saw two messages from Ye Fufu, whose profile picture was a symbol of a holy cross.
Ye Fufu: ‘Master, your sister has regained consciousness and is now safe. However, because you drew on her face, Su Lulu is currently very emotional. Personally, I suggest you stay away for a while. Wait until her emotions stabilize and she recovers a bit more physically before visiting her.’

In the photo, Su Lulu was lying on a hospital bed. On her youthful, beautiful face, there were still some faint marks of a turtle drawn with a water-based pen, making her look somewhat ridiculous.
However, when that ridiculousness was paired with Su Lulu’s fierce gaze and her small fists clenched so hard the knuckles were white, it became rather terrifying.
Looking at his sister, who was clearly charging up a finishing move, a bead of cold sweat formed on Su Qi’s pale forehead.
‘Ugh… I feel like a time bomb has started its countdown.’
‘I hope Su Lulu goes easy on me in a few days.’
‘No, the priority right now should be clearing up my sister’s prejudice against me.’
When it came to people who could persuade Su Lulu, Su Qi only had to think for a second before he remembered Su Lulu’s best friend, Elder Sister Wen Yin.
However, mentioning Elder Sister Wen Yin caused Su Qi’s delicate eyebrows to knit together slightly.
Since their last meeting at the Wildcat Team, Su Qi could feel that his relationship with her had smoothed over.
Usually, he would receive messages from her every day.
But over the last two days, there hadn’t been a word from her. Last night, she hadn’t even sent him a “goodnight.”
Feeling that something was wrong, Su Qi opened his pinned chat with Elder Sister Wen Yin. After a moment of thought, he sent a message.
‘Elder Sister Wen Yin, my sister Su Lulu is awake.’

After sending the message, he waited for a while. Seeing no response, Su Qi didn’t dwell on it. After all, it was still early, only a bit after 6:00 AM. Perhaps she just hadn’t woken up yet!
After Su Xixi played with the children for a while longer, it was time for them to head to kindergarten.
Many of the children started crying as they reluctantly said goodbye to Su Xixi.
Even several of the female parents seemed reluctant to see her go.
Su Qi understood this. After all, the fluffy Su Xixi was very docile and cute. What girl wouldn’t like a creature like her?
While lost in thought, Su Qi suddenly had a novel idea.
Girls liked Xixi, and his sister, Su Lulu, usually loved plush toys.
It just so happened that being in the hospital was quite boring. Should he take Su Xixi—who would be bored at home while he was in class—to his sister? He could let the little guy help lower his sister’s anger levels.
After thinking it over, Su Qi realized it wasn’t a bad idea.
He gently scooped up Su Xixi, whose fluffy waist had gotten a bit chubbier over the last two days.
Holding her in his arms, Su Qi spoke softly.
“Xixi, do you want to play with my sister today?”
Hearing Su Qi’s suggestion and seeing the smile on his face, the innocent Su Xixi, who had just had a great time playing, didn’t think twice and nodded her little head.
Little did Su Xixi know… what exactly awaited her at the hands of a fluff-maniac like Su Lulu.
After playing with Su Xixi for a while, Su Qi boarded Senior Sister Lin Xue’s large car at 7:30 AM.
The reason he wasn’t taking An Xiaoling’s car today was simple: her car only had two seats, and both Su Qi and An Xiaoling had to get to school.
Recently, Teacher Yu Qi had been in a foul mood regarding the dead-last Class 18.
If anyone skipped class now without a valid reason, the consequences would be dire.
Upon hearing that Su Qi wanted to take Su Xixi to the hospital to visit Su Lulu, Lin Xue—perhaps out of guilt over the food situation—volunteered to take over the responsibility of looking after Su Lulu.
Since the hospital and the school were in the same direction, they all took the same car.
Just before the 8:00 AM bell rang, Su Qi and An Xiaoling walked into Class 18. However, after entering the classroom and instinctively looking toward a familiar seat, Su Qi couldn’t help but freeze.
Mo Yu had said yesterday that he was taking a leave of absence for a mission from the Adventurers’ Guild.
But a full day had passed, and he still hadn’t returned or shown up for class. Did this mean the mission Mo Yu took was extremely dangerous?
‘Mo Yu… nothing happened to him, right?’
While Su Qi was worrying, An Xiaoling saw that Mo Yu hadn’t come and a sweet smile spread across her cherry-pink lips.
In the next second, she gently took Su Qi’s arm. As she led him toward his seat, she spoke.
“Sister Su Su, let’s sit down first. I have something to tell you.”
Watching An Xiaoling—who was a stark contrast to her silent self from the previous night, seemingly transforming from a black-hearted loli back into his little fan—Su Qi felt that something was faintly off.
However, returning to his seat was more important.
If he kept standing at the classroom door, he would not only be stared at by students from other classes but would also block the way for his classmates.
After following An Xiaoling to his familiar seat and sitting down, Su Qi looked at her, waiting to hear what she had to say.
Facing his gaze, An Xiaoling didn’t keep him waiting long.
She placed her hands cutely in front of her chest, her index fingers poking each other repeatedly.
After a few seconds of hesitation, she spoke.
“Sister Su Su, isn’t your sister awake now? Although she’s in rehabilitation and can’t come home just yet, she’ll probably be moving back soon, right? I don’t have anything to do after school this afternoon. How about we go to your house and clean it up? Um… Sister Su Su, you still haven’t fulfilled your previous promise. But today, I can be your little maid again.”
Hearing An Xiaoling’s “little maid” proposal, a hint of suspicion flashed in Su Qi’s eyes.
‘I feel like there’s a trap in this suggestion.’
However, considering what An Xiaoling said, it did make sense.
His sister would definitely be moving back home, and with the help of a Saintess like Ye Fufu, that time would likely come very soon.
Tidying up his home seemed like a good idea.
Besides, being reminded by An Xiaoling made Su Qi, who hadn’t been home in several days, feel a bit homesick.
Furthermore, An Xiaoling said she would take the initiative to be his maid this time, rather than him being hers.
This proposal interested Su Qi quite a bit.
Just as Su Qi was about to agree to her suggestion—
Ding-dong~
Su Qi’s phone flashed with a notification.
Seeing the contact name “Brother,” Su Qi, who was worried about Mo Yu, opened Tencent without a second thought.
As he checked the message, Su Qi froze on the spot. Mo Yu’s message was very brief, containing only one photo and one line of text.
Mo Yu: ‘A Qi, can you come to Gu Wen Yin’s house right now? Sister Gu is injured. She said you have a way to heal her.’
The photo showed a familiar scene.
With just one glance, Su Qi recognized it as the bedroom of his neighbor big sister, Gu Wen Yin.
On the large bed in the bedroom, the gentle Wen Yin was lying there with a deathly pale face.
She had likely been attacked by a beast.
The elegant black dress she was wearing was torn in several places, and beneath the ruined fabric, streaks of blood were visible.
Seeing the photo and Mo Yu’s description, Su Qi didn’t have time to ask why. His body moved before his brain could process it.
In the next second, he dashed out of the classroom.
Sitting beside him, An Xiaoling had seen Su Qi on the verge of agreeing to her request.
Her heart had already begun to leap with joy. If she could go home with Su Qi today, her Plan A could be realized.
But what was happening now? Why did Su Qi look at his phone once and then sprint out of the classroom?
Despite her confusion, instinct made An Xiaoling follow him out. To her surprise, as soon as she ran out of the Class 18 classroom, she saw a familiar figure.
In the next second, she was grabbed by the scruff of her neck.
“An classmate, where are you running off to so early? Where is yesterday’s self-reflection essay?”
An Xiaoling: [O · A · O]
‘Teacher Yu Qi, does the timing have to be this perfect?!’
