Pointed heels, black silk stockings wrapping around shapely legs, a tight-fitting pencil skirt, and a white shirt stretched taut across her chest.
With dark, curly hair falling over her shoulders, she pushed a cart rattling with an assortment of snacks and drinks.
*Gulp.*
The flight attendant before her bore a 90% resemblance to Murong Qiuyu. Lin Xiaojue swallowed hard.
The woman approached gracefully, noticing Lin Xiaojue’s gaze.
“Miss, would you like to buy some snacks or drinks?”
Lin Xiaojue’s eyes darted around in a panic. “No, I’m not buying. I… I thought you were someone else.”
The flight attendant tilted her head. “Thought I was someone else?”
“Uh, it’s nothing.”
Lin Xiaojue spoke vaguely. The flight attendant shook her head and pushed the cart away.
Before she had gone far, she looked back.
Their eyes met, and Lin Xiaojue scratched her head awkwardly, giving a shy smile.
“Hehehe… Sorry.”
The flight attendant froze for a moment, hesitated, and finally offered a gentle smile. “It’s fine.”
As she walked toward the back, a passenger called out softly.
“Sister Mika, I’ll take a cup of coffee.”
Sister Mika handed a can of black coffee from the cart, and the passenger took it with a smile.
‘It really isn’t Murong Qiuyu.’
Lin Xiaojue retracted her gaze, her heart having been pounding for no reason just now.
Speaking of which, why was she so nervous? If she was discovered by Murong Qiuyu, then so be it. Wouldn’t it be fine to just admit the fact that she was a two-timing slag girl?
‘No, that would be too much of a jerk move.’
‘Besides, where would I even hide my face after that?’
Lin Xiaojue didn’t plan on looking for anyone else. She really wouldn’t be able to handle another person.
The actual situation might differ from what she imagined, but Lin Xiaojue felt the circumstances were still optimistic.
Even if Gu Xue and Sakuragawa Iku both had feelings for her…
‘But what should I do when they are actually standing in front of me?’
At the thought of how pitiful those two would look after being rejected, Lin Xiaojue’s heart couldn’t help but ache.
‘Should I just accept them? But if I do that…’
Lin Xiaojue looked at the still-sleeping Su Yaqing and Xia Yao. The two were leaning against their headrests, slumbering peacefully.
Lin Xiaojue decided to stop thinking about it. This kind of thing was far too difficult and brain-taxing for her.
‘I’ll deal with it when the time comes.’
Sister Mika finished her round in the cabin and returned to the area outside the breakroom.
She spoke with another flight attendant for a moment. After listening, the other woman entered the breakroom with a joyful expression.
A girl with long hair leaned against the breakroom door. Her long, thin eyelashes trembled slightly, and her eyes opened like dancing butterflies.
“Did you find her?”
Her tone was cold, devoid of any emotion.
“The search is complete. The person you’re looking for is indeed on the plane, Eldest Miss An.”
“While on the plane, just call me Yuxi. Right now, I’m a passenger—a child under your care.”
An Yuxi brushed back her fiery red hair, her golden eyes fixed on the flight attendant.
“Very well, Yuxi.”
An Yuxi nodded.
Immediately, her form began to phase, gradually turning invisible as she merged with her surroundings. Finally, even her clothes vanished into the light.
“The Eldest Miss really is a magical girl,” the flight attendant said dejectedly.
“Shh, don’t talk.” Sister Mika walked in, scanned the surroundings, and asked cautiously, “Is everything all right?”
The other flight attendant wiped the expression from her face. “Yes. The Eldest Miss hasn’t shown any signs of losing control.”
“Speaking of which…” The attendant turned to look at Sister Mika. “We already know someone else got to Miss Lin first. If we tell the Eldest Miss, she won’t do anything illegal, will she?”
“She hasn’t gone crazy, has she? Alright, stop, stop. Aren’t you afraid of getting your pay docked?” Sister Mika paused and quickly cut off the topic.
Silence returned to the breakroom.
An Yuxi walked into the aisle.
There were still 4 hours until the plane landed. Many passengers were sleeping in their seats; having woken up early to catch the flight, they hadn’t slept well. The cabin was silent.
Of course, some remained energetic. For instance, there was a head of black hair looking around, completely out of place in the silence.
An Yuxi narrowed her eyes. That person was exactly who she was looking for.
Senior Xiaojue.
The last time she had spoken with Senior Xiaojue was during the senior’s birthday party.
Back then, Xiaojue was still confused, struggling between her female and male identities.
Although Lin Xiaojue lived at Su Yaqing’s house at the time, An Yuxi didn’t think the two would be intimate to this extent.
At least not to the point of cuddling with each other.
Nor did she think Xia Yao would be this close to Lin Xiaojue.
Close enough to kiss her on the forehead.
An Yuxi watched from a distance, seeing with her own eyes as Lin Xiaojue left a light kiss on Xia Yao’s forehead.
She stepped back a few paces, hiding in the shadows of a blind spot, and quietly waited for the plane to land.
The plane touched down. As Lin Xiaojue looked out the window, the familiar clusters of buildings gradually came into view.
She woke the two beside her as the announcement played, and they joyfully disembarked.
The airport was crowded. Lin Xiaojue, Xia Yao, and Su Yaqing held hands tightly to avoid being separated by the throng of people.
“I called a driver. She should be arriving at the airport soon. Xiaojue, we just need to wait at the entrance for a bit,” Su Yaqing explained with a smile.
*Grumble~*
“Ah, I’m a little hungry. Senior, why don’t we go eat first?” Xia Yao suggested from the side, her cheeks a faint pink.
“Okay, let’s go eat.”
Lin Xiaojue agreed readily. She was indeed quite hungry.
The three of them walked through the airport hand-in-hand, their happy reflections cast upon the polished marble floors.
Lin Xiaojue planned to eat at a beef ramen shop. The beef ramen in Guangyuan City was springy and smooth with a great chew, and it paired exceptionally well with the local broth.
Entering the shop, the three were lucky enough to find a table that had just been vacated. The waiter cleared the leftovers, and before long, a bowl of steaming noodles was served.
The snow-white noodles were distinct, drenched in a vibrantly colored broth.
Green onions garnished the top, accompanied by thinly sliced, glistening beef and a soft-boiled egg perched on the edge. The sight made Lin Xiaojue’s appetite surge.
Time to eat!
She stuck out her tongue slightly, picking up the noodles with her chopsticks while blowing away the steam.
Then, disregarding the heat, she slurped the noodles into her mouth. She squinted her eyes and held her cheeks, a look of bliss on her face.
So delicious!
Lin Xiaojue ate voraciously, clearing her bowl at almost twice the speed of the others, leaving not even a drop of soup behind.
*Burp~*
She let out a satisfied burp. From beside the table came a *click*.
Lin Xiaojue grew alert and turned to look. Su Yaqing was watching her with a beaming smile.
“Yaqing, aren’t you going to eat?”
Lin Xiaojue’s cheeks puffed out. Su Yaqing agreed verbally, picking up her chopsticks, but she couldn’t stop glancing over at Lin Xiaojue.
Really…
Lin Xiaojue felt helpless but couldn’t say much.
She sat there playing on her phone for a while before feeling an urge. Explaining herself to Su Yaqing and Xia Yao, she hurriedly ran downstairs.
Once downstairs, Lin Xiaojue had the nagging feeling that someone was following her.
She looked left and right but could only see a flash of red against the marble floor.
‘Red?’ A possibility crossed Lin Xiaojue’s mind, but she quickly shook the thought away.
There were so many people in the airport, and plenty of them dyed their hair. It wouldn’t necessarily be An Yuxi.
She turned into the restroom. The women’s room was on the east side of the ramen shop, tucked away in a dim corner.
As she stepped into a stall and turned around, she saw that flash of red enter her field of vision.
