By the time Kail regained her senses, she was surrounded by corpses.
She was soaked in blood, and Pope Dillen stood before her.
“General Kail…”
Pope Dillen’s expression was cold, yet his eyes held a hint of sorrow.
“You really… killed so many members of the Order.”
“Didn’t you want to see the Saint Child?”
Dillen said indifferently.
“The Saint Child has already been drained dry. When the next Saint Child arrives, you will naturally see him…”
With that, Dillen turned and left.
The moment Dillen departed, Kail’s heart suddenly burst open like a flower.
“!!!!”
Kail snapped her eyes open and bolted upright in bed.
“Huff… huff…”
It was that dream again.
Kail clutched her full chest and let out a sigh.
She rubbed her aching head and grabbed the wine next to her bed, taking a deep swig.
Nursing her throbbing head, Kail walked to her office.
As soon as she entered, she saw a few teachers sitting together, discussing something.
Upon seeing Kail walk in, they immediately fell silent.
“Good morning, Director Kail.”
Kail lifted her wine flask in response and sat down at her desk.
However, before she could even get settled, a girl walked in from outside.
Kail looked up.
It was that young girl named Anya.
She had been quite close to Joey recently and seemed to be from the same hometown.
Anya was still wrapped in bandages, having been injured by Seia’s Magic Wave in the Maze a few days ago.
Given her low level, she couldn’t withstand such massive Magic fluctuations, and her body hadn’t fully recovered.
She limped over to Kail’s desk.
“Teacher Kail… Joey hasn’t been to school for the past few days. His friends, Chiyang and Aiki, haven’t come to class either.”
Anya frowned and said, “I’m a bit worried. Did something happen?”
At the mention of Joey’s name, the teachers chatting across from Kail exchanged meaningful glances.
Kail didn’t pay them any mind.
She raised her slightly drunken eyes, took another sip of wine, and said, “Chiyang is returning to school today. You know how she is—she’s often late, and sometimes she just doesn’t show up if she oversleeps.”
Because Chiyang’s grades were always among the best, Kail didn’t care much and usually turned a blind eye.
“Aiki is a student at the Mage Academy, so I’m not entirely sure, but I visited the dormitory the day before yesterday. She should be fine now,” Kail said, wiping the wine from the corner of her mouth.
“So, is there anything else? If not, go back to the dormitory and recover. Stop walking around. Besides, I have to go to class.”
“Eh?”
Anya’s eyes widened.
“What about Joey! Where did Joey go?!”
A flicker of conflict crossed Kail’s eyes.
She turned away and said, “I’m not sure. His injuries were quite severe that day in the Maze, and he was taken away by the Order of the Church.”
“As the Director of the Warrior Academy, do you not care about your own student at all?”
Anya asked, grabbing Kail’s wrist as she looked at her indifferent attitude.
“……”
Kail pursed her red lips, then turned her drunken, beautiful eyes toward Anya.
“I am just a teaching professor…”
‘I can’t interfere with the matters of the Church…’
“Besides… the Archbishop is also the Vice Principal. His rank is higher than mine…”
Kail’s tone was clearly resentful, but she maintained an indifferent expression as she left.
‘The Saint Child…’
‘The damn Saint Child again…’
Kail’s eyes flashed with anger as she headed to class.
She left Anya behind, who remained completely in the dark.

During the lunch break, at Joey’s Dormitory…
“Mmm-ha! Anya is so kind. She knew I hadn’t fully recovered and brought so much fruit.”
Chiyang picked up a Blazing Fruit, stuffed it into her mouth, and chewed frantically.
Anya, still wrapped in bandages, sat beside her.
Aiki finished washing the other fruits and snacks and handed them to Anya.
The white-haired beauty frowned at the sight of Chiyang gorging herself.
“Your injuries shouldn’t be as heavy as Anya’s,” Aiki said.
“You look perfectly lively. Anya is so badly hurt, yet you actually have the heart to eat like that.”
Anya took the snacks and waved her hand.
“It’s… it’s fine. I just wanted to stop by and check on Joey. I haven’t seen him since that day in the Maze.”
Anya lowered her head despondently.
“I… I’m a bit worried. We’re all from the Kingdom of Chun’ai, so I thought you guys would know what’s going on…”
“Eh?”
Chiyang’s face was covered in fruit residue.
She clumsily patted Anya’s shoulder and said, “It’s fine. You’ll see him next week. Joey is going to be the Saint Child.”
“The Saint Child?!”
Anya stood up abruptly in panic.
“I didn’t believe it when I heard the rumors! Are you joking?!”
“……”
Aiki narrowed her eyes, observing Anya’s intense reaction.
“Becoming the Saint Child… isn’t that a great honor?”
Anya shook her head frantically.
“That’s just something used to keep the commoners ignorant!”
“The Saint Child is actually…”
Anya was about to speak but suddenly remembered something.
She cleared her throat and said, “The Entia Kingdom is a place where morals and laws have collapsed. Being the Saint Child is definitely not a good thing.”
Watching Anya’s explanation, Aiki pretended to be ignorant.
“That… is just your own speculation, right?”
“It’s not speculation! It’s the truth!”
Anya waved her hands urgently.
“Anyway, there’s no time! Joey absolutely cannot become the Saint Child! As his fellow countryman, I have to save him!”
Anya’s expression was serious and solemn.
She was about to leave the dormitory, but she noticed that Aiki and Chiyang weren’t moving.
“Hey! Aiki! I’m serious!”
Anya was frantic.
She gritted her teeth and said, “The Saint Child isn’t that glorious! Haven’t you noticed? Not a single generation of the Saint Child in the Entia Kingdom has survived for 1 year!”
Aiki’s expression became more serious.
She tilted her head and looked at Anya.
“And how… do you know that?”
“I…”
Anya hesitated.
“Anyway… even if you won’t save Joey, I’m going to save him.”
Seeing Anya’s hot-blooded determination, Aiki quickly stood up.
“Anya. Recover from your injuries first. I can see you’re very anxious for the Young Master. When the Young Master comes out next week, I’ll relay your feelings to him.”
“Eh?”
Anya saw that Aiki was trying to shut her out and grew even more anxious.
“Aiki, listen to me! Chiyang! You guys really have to help me save Joey!”
Aiki raised her hand and surged her Magic, using the Vampire Hypnosis unique to the Blood Clan against lower levels to instantly quiet Anya.
“Anya, go back to your dormitory now and focus on recovering…”
Anya’s expression turned blank.
She nodded and said, “Okay…”
Then, she slowly walked away.
“Eh?”
Chiyang looked at Aiki.
“Why did you send her away? She seems to know the rumors about the Saint Child… she might have been a great help to us.”
Aiki shook her head.
“A normal person’s first reaction to Joey becoming the Saint Child should be happiness. Anya acts as if she knows everything…”
“But Anya is from the Kingdom of Chun’ai… seeing a fellow countryman become the Saint Child of an enemy nation, how could she be happy?”
Chiyang explained for her.
Aiki frowned.
“Joey and I stayed in the Kingdom of Chun’ai for so long. Even the citizens of that country wouldn’t know the truth about the Saint Child… Anya’s identity might not be that simple.”
“Then why didn’t you ask her when you hypnotized her just now?”
Chiyang asked, rolling her eyes.
A flicker of hesitation passed through Aiki’s eyes.
“I… I forgot…”
