At 5:45 PM, the bell rang to signal the end of class.
Lin Mo was packing his bag, preparing to head home. Just as he reached the classroom door, he was stopped.
“Lin Mo, the Student Council is looking for you. It’s urgent. Go to the Student Union Office.”
The one speaking was his homeroom teacher, Li Xue’er. She was 165 centimeters tall and wore a teacher’s uniform. Lin Mo had heard the girls whispering that many of the male teachers had secret crushes on her.
“Huh? The Student Council is looking for me?”
“Yes, their secretary called. You should hurry over.”

Lin Mo arrived at the door of the Student Union Office. Just as he was about to knock, the door swung open, and a boy walked out looking extremely embarrassed.
“I told you all to fill out this form last month, and yet it’s still not finished today. If you don’t submit it within this week, you can just take the Gaokao next year with the high school sophomores.”
The voice belonged to a girl wearing thin-framed glasses—Zhao Panpan, the Student Council Secretary.
At that moment, she noticed Lin Mo.
“Are you Lin Mo? Come in.”
“Your exam registration form is missing guardian information and a signature. Didn’t you look at it before turning it in? How could you submit it with such a large section left blank?”
Lin Mo suddenly remembered. At the time, he really had forgotten to have his parents sign it. When the class was collecting the forms, he had completely forgotten the signature was missing and turned it in anyway.
His face turned red instantly, and he stammered awkwardly, “I… I forgot…”
“You forgot something like this? This is your Gaokao registration form! If I hadn’t caught it during my review, you would have submitted it like this, and you wouldn’t even be able to take the exam!”
Secretary Zhao spoke while fuming right in front of him. They were standing so close that Lin Mo could catch the youthful fragrance lingering around her. ‘Sigh, why am I thinking about this right now?’
Secretary Zhao pulled out a file.
“This is a case from last year where a student filled out the registration form incorrectly. The result was that he has to take the Gaokao with us this year! Do you want to wait until next year to take your exams, too?”
Lin Mo’s face grew even redder. He lowered his head and glanced around the room, only then realizing that Su Qing had been at the back desk the entire time, reviewing documents. She seemed accustomed to Zhao Panpan scolding students; she was busy with her own work as if she hadn’t heard a thing.
Secretary Zhao continued to nag Lin Mo about the details. Suddenly, the phone in her pocket rang.
The little secretary glanced at the caller ID and turned to Su Qing. “President, I need to step out for a moment.”
“Go ahead. I’ll handle things here,” Su Qing said, putting down her pen and smiling at her secretary. Then, she looked toward Lin Mo, her smile fading as she spoke. “Student Lin, if you have any other questions, you can ask me directly.”
The secretary left quickly, closing the door behind her.
*Click.*
Lin Mo stood in place, about to say that he knew what to do and was ready to leave as well.
Su Qing set her pen down. She stood up and walked toward Lin Mo.
“Student Lin Mo, look into my eyes.”
Then, she snapped her fingers.
‘Wait, this… is this Hypnosis again?’
Lin Mo felt a surge of energy enter his mind, but he was immune to it.
Su Qing turned around, the hem of her uniform skirt swaying to reveal a flash of white. She walked to the desk and, right in front of him, she took off… her shoes. Then, she put on a pair of high heels.
Lin Mo watched as she unreservedly displayed her slender, beautiful legs. She walked toward him step by step. Lin Mo felt his heart rate begin to accelerate.
She stopped in front of him and first used the heel of her shoe to step on Lin Mo’s foot.
‘Ow, ow, ow. This girl stepped on me so hard,’ Lin Mo thought.
On the surface, however, he pretended to feel nothing. From this angle, he could see her collarbone just below her neckline.
She lifted her heel off his foot. Reaching out, she pinched Lin Mo’s chin, letting her fingernails graze lightly over his Adam’s apple.
Her hand slowly moved downward as she stared into his eyes. Gradually, her expression became infatuated.
“Just now…”
“You spoke with her for 2 minutes and 49 seconds.”
“You said eighty-nine words, and your eyes lingered on her for 40 seconds.”
‘What the…? She was actually tracking all that data.’
Lin Mo was shocked inwardly, but he maintained a vacant, hypnotized expression.
“Brother, she touched your documents. Both of your fingers touched the same piece of paper. In fact, both of your hands touched it.”
“She was less than half a meter away from you when she spoke. So close!”
“Did you purposely leave the guardian signature blank just so she would come talk to you?”
She leaned closer and closer, her lips brushing against his ear as she breathed softly.
“Or is it that you just wanted to provoke me? To see me get anxious and jealous?”
Lin Mo froze. ‘What kind of logic is this? Does Su Qing actually have a yandere personality?’
“Not talking? Oh, right. You’re in a trance.”
“Now, listen closely. You are allowed to speak your true feelings.”
“Go ahead. Speak.”
‘Oh boy! What am I supposed to say?’
“Still not talking? Could it be that I hit the nail on the head?”
‘If that’s how you want to play, I’ll play along.’
“I actually just wanted to talk to you more at school. That’s why I left it blank.”
Su Qing was stunned for a moment. Then, her face flushed even deeper.
“If you can talk like that, say more. I love hearing it!”
“I actually have a secret in my heart. Su Qing, I like you. I’ve liked you since we were kids. But after we grew up, you always treated me so coldly. I only did this to get your attention!”
His mouth was suddenly blocked. After 2 minutes and 49 seconds, their lips parted.
Su Qing licked her lips as if she hadn’t had enough. She hooked one arm around his neck and patted her own face with her other hand.
With a shy expression, she said, “I’ll let it slide for today, okay? I’ll forgive you this once.”
Then, she leaned close to his ear.
“Next time, if you let another girl talk to you for that long, or let someone else touch your—no, touch my things…”
“Then I’ll have to punish you properly. It won’t be a simple kiss for ‘tutoring’ like it was today, you bad brother.”
Footsteps echoed from the hallway. Su Qing let go of him.
“Hypnosis released. Forget everything that just happened.”
She stepped back, sat in her chair, picked up her pen, and went back to reviewing documents. Lin Mo also pretended to have just woken up.
The door was pushed open. Secretary Zhao entered, panting slightly.
“Sorry for the wait. Lin Mo, why does your face look so strange?”
Before Lin Mo could think of an answer, Su Qing spoke without looking up.
“He’s just scared. He knows he almost ruined his chance at the Gaokao.”
“Alright, Lin Mo, you can go. Fill out the form quickly and turn it in tomorrow.”
Su Qing acted as if she didn’t want to spend another second in the same room as him. Lin Mo nodded and hurried out of the office. The secretary didn’t think much of it and walked over to Su Qing to report the news from the Academic Affairs Office.
***
After leaving the school, Lin Mo walked to the bus station. His mind replayed everything that had happened yesterday and today. He reached up and touched his lips.
“I’m heading home too. See you tomorrow,” Su Qing said to her secretary with a smile.
“Thanks for your hard work today.”
Su Qing slowly walked out of the office.
‘Huh? When did the President change into high heels? I didn’t even notice.’
The secretary’s thoughts were quickly replaced by admiration for Su Qing’s perfect figure. Looking at Su Qing’s tall, retreating figure, she thought about how great the President’s body was. She then looked down at her own petite frame and sighed. ‘Sigh, I’m so jealous.’
Su Qing walked into the restroom alone and entered a stall. Her expression was now one of pure infatuation as she whispered to herself.
‘Brother said he has always liked me.’
‘Maybe I should give him more chances to be near me. It turns out he’s always liked me. Ah, we really are a match made in heaven.’
‘I should reward him. When I go home today, I’ll make dumplings for him with my own hands.’
