Jiang Ling looked at the plumpness being pressed against her lips, feeling a bit dazed for a moment.
Watching her blank expression, the smile in Mo Ran’s eyes deepened. She spoke slowly in a gentle tone: “Won’t you eat?”
These words instantly jolted Jiang Ling out of her confusion.
‘Does this person really think I’m some toddler just learning how to speak?!’
How could this kind of nursing behavior possibly happen to an 18-year-old college student like her!
Thinking this, Jiang Ling tried to decline. “Even if we’re mother and daughter, there’s no need—”
But she forgot how soft the thing pressed against her lips was. The moment Jiang Ling opened her mouth, she felt the delicate texture of skin. She nearly lost herself and fell right into it.
Watching Jiang Ling struggle, Mo Ran curled her lips into a faint smile. Her voice remained impossibly calm. “But I want to see you do it, Jiang Ling.”
The moment those words were spoken, Jiang Ling understood the meaning behind them. She hesitated for a long time before letting out a soft sigh.
“Mo Ran…”
Hearing her lament, Mo Ran didn’t feel the slightest bit of dissatisfaction. She simply emphasized once more, “Use your title when you speak to me.”
She was calm yet stubborn.
She was playing the role of that blurry mother figure in her memories.
Jiang Ling saw through it. She didn’t refuse again, obediently lowering her eyes as she called out, “Mom.”
Since she was the one who intended to use this relationship to bind Mo Ran, she naturally had to bear the corresponding price.
Jiang Ling wasn’t a brave person. On the contrary, she was timid, had low self-esteem, and could even be called cowardly. However, she wouldn’t easily overturn her own decisions—especially when such a decision might bring a brand-new future to her teammates.
So, she parted her lips slightly. Her lips were a bit dry because they hadn’t been moistened in a long time, but the moment they touched skin, that itchy heat calmed down again.
What followed was almost natural. Jiang Ling instinctively closed her eyes, repeating the action over and over.
She heard Mo Ran’s suppressed low cries gradually lengthen until they finally intertwined with her own breathing, melting completely into the long night.
*Pop…*
Finally, Jiang Ling lifted her head. She could clearly feel that the base of her tongue was numb. After steadying her breath, she stated slowly, “I’m a bit—”
She wanted to say she was tired, but meeting Mo Ran’s probing gaze, she forced herself to change her tune.
“I’m full.”
This answer made the corners of Mo Ran’s slightly reddened eyes curve up. She looked very satisfied.
The air fell into a brief silence.
Jiang Ling unconsciously licked her moistened lips, her gaze staring straight at Mo Ran. Her voice was very soft. “Is that enough?”
It wasn’t an impatient tone, but genuine curiosity.
Was this level enough to be compared to what happened before?
Hearing this, Mo Ran also seemed a bit dazed and startled for a moment. Then, she fell into a thoughtful silence.
The two women, both of whom had very vague memories of maternal love, stared at each other. They didn’t do anything else for a long time.
“Hmm… it might not be enough.”
Mo Ran shook her head and answered honestly, “But I don’t know what else I should do.”
Jiang Ling gave Mo Ran an innocent look, and then she clearly saw the skin Mo Ran had exposed to the air. Her voice carried a hint of shyness. “How about you put your clothes back on first?”
Mo Ran didn’t refuse, but her movements stopped when she went to grab her clothes. She seemed to be thinking about something.
Jiang Ling fidgeted with her fingers, her gaze fixed on the small patch of bedsheet in front of her. She felt like something was weird.
‘This relationship of ours should be… healthy, right?’
While Jiang Ling was lost in thought, Mo Ran slowly turned around. The confusion in her eyes turned exceptionally clear. “Since neither of us understands that unknown relationship—”
“Then as long as it makes us both satisfied, nothing we do can be wrong, right?”
Jiang Ling’s head was currently dizzy and swollen. She couldn’t react to what was wrong with that logic for the time being, so she nodded blankly.
Then, she was pushed down.
Looking at the snow-white ceiling above her, Jiang Ling finally regained a bit of her spirit. Her voice was slightly panicked. “What are you doing…”
Before she could finish, Mo Ran’s beautiful face, which unconsciously inspired pleasure, magnified infinitely before her eyes.
It was an exceptionally gentle kiss… at least at the beginning.
But as Jiang Ling’s resistance intensified, the way Mo Ran held her head also grew heavier.
Jiang Ling felt the numbness surging from within her body become stronger and stronger, flowing through her nerves to every part of her limbs. Her excited bones were even trembling.
She could no longer suppress the sounds escaping from her lips. “Mm, mm…”
It was as if she wanted to say something, but she was blocked and unable to speak.
Mo Ran gave her a brief chance to breathe, speaking slowly in a breathy voice near Jiang Ling’s ear: “I’m very satisfied. What about you?”
As she spoke, she placed her hand on Jiang Ling’s tense waist and abdomen with the gentle strength one would use for precious porcelain. She didn’t do anything else, as if she were waiting for an answer.
Jiang Ling breathed heavily like a drowning person, then tried to shake her head to stop this sudden situation.
“I’m not—”
The word “satisfied” hadn’t even come out before it was easily dismissed by Mo Ran. Her hand slid down from Jiang Ling’s body, rubbing against her skin until it stopped at a soul-stirring spot.
She pressed down with her fingertips, eliciting a few whimpers from Jiang Ling. “Mo Ran…”
“How many times do I have to say it?”
Mo Ran’s voice went cold, and a dangerous glint clouded her eyes. “Use your title when you speak to me. Are you actually trying to remember?”
Jiang Ling felt like she was truly crazy to play some mother-daughter roleplay with Mo Ran.
‘Isn’t this just digging my own grave!’
Jiang Ling tried to push Mo Ran away, looking like she wanted to cry but had no tears. “I think we should carefully consider the feasibility of this relationship!”
“There’s no need.”
Mo Ran smiled as she pried away the arms blocking her. Then, she stated unhurriedly, “You were the one who proactively suggested this relationship to me. I agreed. And now you’re telling me you want to consider it?”
“Jiang Ling, there’s no such thing as a deal that good.”
After saying that, she leaned down and bit Jiang Ling’s earlobe. It wasn’t hard, but she ground her teeth against it slowly, leaving a faint mark.
No, this wasn’t right!
Jiang Ling finally realized what was wrong… The two of them were currently doing *that* under the guise of being “mother and daughter”?
Even though it was fake, it still made Jiang Ling’s heart feel incredibly panicked. She even felt a faint, inexplicable sense of trembling.
Before Jiang Ling could explore it further, she lost control of her body once again. Under Mo Ran’s practiced movements, she couldn’t even move freely. She was forced to arch her head high, resisting the heart-palpitating numbness.
Jiang Ling felt as if she had fallen into a biting cold snowy mountain. With even the slightest movement, the fluttering snow would fall onto her warm body and scatter, melting into cold water vapor.
And she could only grit her teeth and endure. Her ears, the tip of her nose, her fingers—all of her skin was covered in a deep flush that was even spreading rapidly until she let out a low, pained groan.
Lifting her head, Jiang Ling’s eyes were misty as she saw the ** standing tall amidst the snowflakes. A faint mist floated around it, like a pure and sacred ancient god descending, waiting for her to climb.
But her legs began to shake. The water vapor from the melted snow clung to her calves, dripping and sliding into the flower buds in the soil that hadn’t bloomed yet, swaying before dissipating.
After a few rounds, Jiang Ling finally mastered the rhythm of climbing the snowy mountain.
At the moment she was about to reach the summit, Jiang Ling was nearly blown away by a violent wind mixed with snowflakes. The wind was too fierce; it was just a hair’s breadth away from blowing her away completely.
Despite being weak and limp, she still desperately stabilized herself. Her toes tensed, and she forced herself to endure this soul-shaking wind and snow, finally reaching the top of the mountain.
Finally, she lost all her strength and closed her eyes completely.

The next day.
When Jiang Ling woke up, she felt like her entire body was falling apart. She even had a dream about climbing a snowy mountain. She gritted her teeth and looked at Mo Ran, who was already awake beside her, stammering for a long time. “You, you, you—”
‘You’re really not a good person!’
But Mo Ran looked like she was in a great mood. she even started muttering to herself, “Should we sign a contract for this relationship—”
“No!”
***
Under Jiang Ling’s persuasion, Mo Ran told everyone everything, including how that scumbag often demanded money and committed domestic violence.
After learning the truth of the matter, the first person who couldn’t take it was naturally—
“I ** your **, call that ** out for me right now!”
Fang Wannan shouted at the top of her lungs, almost rushing out of the dormitory. Lin Xiaoyu pulled her back from behind with a calm expression, even having the leisure to scroll through comics with her other hand.
Mo Ran looked at the furious Fang Wannan with a hint of helplessness. “Why are you calling him out?”
“I’m going to slap that byd to death!”
Fang Wannan answered through gritted teeth, looking like she was going to kill Mo Ran’s father in the next second.
Bai Xue lazily added from the side, “My dear Miss Fang, we live in a society ruled by law now. You’re considered half a public figure, do you get what I mean?”
Jiang Ling went straight forward and hugged her waist, crying and wailing, “Nannan, don’t do anything reckless! You still have many years of youth ahead of you, boohoo! Don’t leave us behind!”
Xu Nuo was originally coming to find everyone with some finished designs, but as soon as she entered, she saw this scene of ghost-like wailing. While she was at a loss, she overheard a few sentences—
“I’m going to ** stab him to death right now!”
“Nannan! The abyss is right in front of you!”
Xu Nuo was so scared that she also pounced and hugged Fang Wannan’s leg. “Miss Fang, you absolutely must not!”
Fang Wannan looked speechlessly at the three people who had her firmly tied down from top to bottom. She endured it again and again before finally giving up for the time being. She lifted her foot with some disgust. “Xu Nuo, if you don’t get up, I’m going to kick you away.”
Hearing that, Xu Nuo immediately got up and scrambled back two steps to stay far away from her.
After finishing her cursing, Fang Wannan calmed down quite a bit. She turned and sat back in her original seat, picking up her phone with a grim expression, seemingly sending a message to someone.
Seeing that she wasn’t going to act impulsively, Jiang Ling finally breathed a sigh of relief.
She turned to look at the smiling Mo Ran, feeling strangely tired.
‘Why does it feel like NOVA is a large nursing home and I’m the only attending physician?’
This sense of déjà vu made Jiang Ling shiver. Before she could think about it further, she saw Bai Xue open her notebook and slowly start today’s meeting. “I brought Xu Nuo to the meeting today. Although there’s something wrong with her brain, there’s nothing wrong with her aesthetics.”
“Hey, there’s nothing wrong with my brain.”
Xu Nuo raised her hand and said weakly.
Jiang Ling looked at the stack of drawings in her hand and clearly saw her own likeness doing some *that* stuff. She withdrew her gaze without changing her expression and added, “There is definitely something wrong with your brain.”
Bai Xue ignored the two “elementary schoolers” bickering and continued.
“I gave everyone plenty of time to write lyrics, so today’s goal is to integrate everyone’s content and form a first draft. Any problems?”
