“Class dismissed!”
Anima announced the end of class, completed the teaching, and ended the morning session.
“Oh, finally class is over~”
“What do you plan to eat for lunch?”
“I’ve been getting tired of the cafeteria lately; how about going to Doff City?”
The students left the classroom, discussing some quite everyday topics.
“…So sleepy.”
Via packed her books and prepared to leave.
She had been drowsy all day listening to Anima’s lesson.
It wasn’t her fault for skipping class; the content was just too boring.
If they gathered the students, put them in an octagon cage, and had real combat brawls with actual weapons, she might find it more interesting.
“Via, wait, don’t go; come to the office with me.” Anima called out to Via, who had one foot out the door.
“Ah? Me?”
Via was very puzzled.
Hadn’t she obediently come to class today?
Clearly, she hadn’t skipped, yet Anima was still troubling her.
“Yes, come with me.” Anima beckoned Via over.
“Okay.”
Via could only follow.
Just like that, she followed Anima to the office.
“Teacher Anima, I shouldn’t have done anything wrong, right?”
“Your recent performance has no issues…”
Anima was silent for a moment.
“Has Stella already moved into the dorm and become your roommate?”
“Stella?”
Via understood.
So Anima wasn’t picking on her as usual; she was inquiring about Stella’s situation.
She remembered Stella telling her that besides the dorm manager, only Anima knew about becoming roommates.
“Yes, her name is Stella; she’s one of the top excellent students at our Avalon Academy, and also—”
At this point, Anima hesitated for a moment and didn’t continue.
The Ninth Princess of the Saint Luo Empire, right?
Via finished the rest in her mind for Anima.
But on the surface, she had to play dumb.
“Who is Stella? I tried asking where she’s from, but she didn’t tell me.”
“What did she say to you?”
“Not much, just that she’ll live in the same dorm with me from now on,” Via was very puzzled, “Teacher Anima, I always feel Stella is so strange! She doesn’t usually go to class, her identity is mysterious, and her words are incomprehensible!”
“It’s fine; Stella is like that. Don’t try to understand too much.”
After hearing this, Anima was relieved.
It seemed Via knew nothing about Stella’s identity.
“In short, you need to be more tolerant of Stella usually; unless necessary, don’t interact with her much; it will bring you unnecessary trouble!”
“Trouble? What do you mean?”
“No need to ask more.”
“But…”
“Alright, that’s it! Via, remember what I said today. Your previous absence records, given your recent performance, I’ve already cleared them; don’t skip class anymore!”
“Okay, Teacher Anima.”
Via really didn’t expect that she could get some benefits because of Stella.
“I’ll remember.”
“Nothing else; Via, go eat.”
“Mm.”
Via nodded and left the office.
“Sigh.”
Anima sighed.
“I hope Via won’t do anything strange to anger Stella. I really don’t understand why this princess of the Saint Luo Empire wants to live with Via; what’s she after?”
The day’s boring classes ended.
Via returned to the dorm, took out her key, inserted it, twisted, and opened the door.
There was no sound from the little yellow cat inside.
The room was dimly lit, no lights on; obviously, Stella wasn’t there.
“Hm? Where did she go?”
After turning on the light, she walked into the living room and found a note on the table.
After walking over, she opened the note; it was a message.
“After seeing the note, go outside the academy, to the streetlight at the corner at the end of the north road; I’ll wait for you.”
“Is this from Stella?”
Via thought about it and felt it could only be Stella.
At the same time, she noticed something.
The handwriting was exactly the same as the note she saw on the maglev airship.
That meant it was also Stella who reminded her that Lucy had tampered with the teleport crystal.
With Stella and Lucy’s relationship, she could indeed know that.
“So at that time, Stella had secretly helped me.”
“Via, why are you so late? I’ve been waiting for you for a long time.”
Stella was standing under the streetlight at the corner at the end of the road.
The old light illuminated the blue-haired girl’s fair face, making her so eye-catching in the dim environment.
This road was very remote, with basically no passersby, and even several streetlights were broken with no one repairing them.
“Why did you specifically call me here?” Via asked.
“If we meet here, going out together won’t be seen by others,” Stella replied matter-of-factly, “Don’t you hope our relationship isn’t discovered by others?”
“That’s right.”
Via was surprised.
Stella had really taken it to heart and prepared to comply with these requirements.
“But you still haven’t said what you plan to do.”
“It’s to solve the sleeping problem.”
“How do you plan to solve it?”
“Get in the carriage.”
“Get in?”
Via only then noticed a carriage parked not far away.
It should be the one Stella called.
She and Stella got in together; the coachman set off to the specified location, leaving Avalon Academy.
“Via, didn’t you occupy a room in the dorm to use as a Magic Workshop, causing me to have no room to sleep and having to squeeze in one bed with you?” Stella said.
“Mm, and then?”
“So I thought, you can completely move the Magic Workshop out; there’s no need to keep it in the dorm,” Stella analyzed, “Besides, if you accidentally make a big noise in the Magic Workshop, it might attract the dorm manager’s attention, and there’s a risk of being discovered by the academy.”
“…Indeed.”
Via had considered it too.
But she faced two problems: first, buying a house costs money, and she had many places needing money right now.
Second, the location couldn’t be too far from Avalon Academy, and buying required a legal identity.
Using her current identity to buy, the Holy Land would definitely know and send people to investigate, losing secrecy.
As for renting…
She didn’t like it.
Modifying someone else’s house, the landlord would find out someday.
“So, Via, I went out today to handle this matter.”
Stella seemed to notice Via’s doubts.
“I’ve selected a house in Doff City that’s quite suitable to transform into a Magic Workshop for you!”
