For Luo Shuangxing, the word “Mother” was a term that provided her with a modicum of peace.
With her heart halfway settled, she chose to play it safe and explore this area further.
Perhaps she could bring her mentors back here to take a look later.
With that thought in mind, Luo Shuangxing left the magic circle and continued walking forward.
Along the way, she encountered pitch-black monsters.
Luo Shuangxing attempted to attack them, only to find that these Path Creatures were not very strong.
Furthermore, even if she did not attack, the White Phantoms that looked remarkably like her mother would proactively appear to hunt and kill these monsters.
‘Mother has been gone for so long… could she have been fighting these monsters all by herself?’ Luo Shuangxing wondered.
‘But that doesn’t make sense. Mother is strong, but why would she do this? She couldn’t possibly think that shouldering the safety of the world alone is cool, right?’
With such confusion, Luo Shuangxing walked and walked.
After an unknown amount of time had passed, an intensely familiar magic circle appeared before her eyes.
It was white, exactly like the one she had seen before.
“Another new magic circle? Just how many of these things are here…?” Luo Shuangxing muttered softly as she stared at the circle she had seen not long ago.
She continued forward.
Before long, she saw another cluster of pitch-black gas gradually condensing from a gaseous state into a solid one.
“Strange, why does this feel so familiar?”
Plagued by this doubt, Luo Shuangxing kept walking.
The further she went, the more she felt something was wrong.
Everything along this path gave her a sense of déjà vu, as if she were retracing the exact path she had just traveled.
Thus, she abandoned her inefficient walking method and switched to flying at her maximum speed.
In this place, the speed she could burst forth with was quite terrifying.
After what felt like a very short time in her mind, the white magic circle reappeared before her.
She flew a bit further and, as expected, discovered the black gas again.
It was confirmed.
She was indeed going in circles.
Yet, why did she not feel the slightest sensation of being caught in a trap or illusion?
Luo Shuangxing flew back to the side of the magic circle and began to ponder if she had done something wrong, leading her into this infinite loop.
No matter how much she thought about it, she could not figure out where she had slipped up.
She clearly hadn’t done anything bad along the way.
The path had been shown to her by a White Phantom, and she hadn’t come into contact with anything else.
Why was she trapped here?
Luo Shuangxing felt like her head was about to spin right off her shoulders.
She held her head and let out a frustrated cry.
Then, she heard a *crackling* sound near her ear.
Looking up, a deep, pitch-black rift appeared before her.
A silver-haired half-dragon girl then tumbled out of the rift.
The girl’s landing was a bit pathetic; she slammed into the ground almost face-first.
The Spatial Rift that had delivered her vanished instantly as soon as she exited.
Luo Shuangxing was stunned.
She had truly never seen anything like this before. Who could tell her what was going on?
While she was dazed, the slightly disoriented little Dragon Girl shook her head hard.
After glancing around at her surroundings, she belatedly revealed an expression of surprise.
‘Why is there a person here?’
‘Also, why does this person look so much like the Holy Sovereign?’
She blinked, raised her small claw, and let out a very stiff voice, sounding as if she had just learned how to speak. “He… hello?”
‘Wait… is that human speech?’
Luo Shuangxing’s eyes widened. She was certain that what had come out of the little Dragon Girl’s mouth was genuine human language.
Why could she speak like a human?
“Hello?” Luo Shuangxing responded with a very strained smile.
After the greeting, the two of them fell into an awkward silence.
Luo Shuangxing did not know where to start her questions, and the little Dragon Girl did not know what to say next.
After all, she had spent quite a while with Xia Mo, but she had only learned a few phrases of human speech.
It wasn’t nearly enough to support a normal conversation.
Fortunately, Luo Shuangxing did not keep her waiting long and quickly threw out the questions she wanted to ask.
In response, the little Dragon Girl wore a look of “clear but stupid” confusion.
Her face was practically written with words like ‘I don’t understand’ and ‘I’m an idiot.’
‘Don’t tell me “hello” is the only thing she can say?’ Luo Shuangxing felt her guess was quite plausible.
However, it wasn’t a problem; a Magical Girl would not be troubled by a mere language barrier.
She raised her hand and pointed it straight at the little Dragon Girl’s forehead.
Initially, she was worried the little Dragon Girl might resist, but the girl proactively tilted her forehead toward her, appearing as if she had experienced similar things before.
After leaving a magic Mark on both her own forehead and the little Dragon Girl’s, their communication finally got on track.
She also learned the little Dragon Girl’s name.
“Taya? Is that your name?”
“Mm-hmm!” Taya nodded happily. “Who are you? Why are you here?”
“You can call me Lily of the Valley. That is my name.” For the sake of caution, Luo Shuangxing chose to use her code name.
Moving on, Luo Shuangxing got straight to the point and asked Taya if she had seen her older sisters.
She quickly received an answer—one that left her both pleasantly surprised and utterly helpless.
“I have! I even took them to our side. But they left a few days ago, saying they were going to look for their important family members,” Taya said with a vigorous nod.
Taya had come here hoping for a chance encounter with Luo Shuangyue and Xia Mo.
As it turned out, just as she crawled out of a severely damaged Spatial Channel, she ran into another girl.
This Spatial Channel was something she and several other friends had dug out from the ruins of the Sanctuary.
For the Sanctuary currently under reconstruction, the materials within this Boundary Zone were quite important, so Taya had come to dig up more soil to take back.
She recounted the details of her time with Luo Shuangyue’s group to Luo Shuangxing.
She also very seriously told Luo Shuangxing that their Holy Sovereign was Luo Shuangyue’s mother.
This sentence left Luo Shuangxing, who was already shocked that her sister had gone to another world, in a state of confusion once again.
‘What do you mean your Holy Sovereign is my sister’s mother?’
‘Don’t we only have one mother?’
‘Isn’t our mother supposed to be in this place?’
“There’s such a thing? But… why didn’t I know I had another mother?” Luo Shuangxing tossed all other questions to the back of her mind.
She only cared about one thing now: what on earth was going on with her older sister?
How did she end up acknowledging a Boss from another world as her mother?
‘Was our mother not caring enough, or have your wings grown so stiff that you don’t plan on recognizing your real mother?’
Taya rested her chin on her hand and stared straight at the shocked Luo Shuangxing, comparing her to the Luo Shuangyue and the Holy Sovereign in her memory.
She looked very much like Luo Shuangyue, but not quite as much like the Holy Sovereign. Her appearance seemed to lean toward something else.
Taya could easily identify the relationship between Luo Shuangyue and Luo Shuangxing, but if she were asked to directly compare the Holy Sovereign and Luo Shuangxing, she might not reach an answer so quickly.
However, since Luo Shuangyue served as a bridge, Taya naturally accepted Luo Shuangxing’s identity as the Holy Sovereign’s daughter.
After all, Luo Shuangyue had mentioned having a younger sister; it was likely the girl she was seeing now.
“Is that so? But she and the Holy Sovereign really do look alike.”
“Looking alike doesn’t mean… um, wait. Can you show me what your Holy Sovereign looks like?”
“Sure, I’ll try my best.”
Taya began to recall the appearance of the Holy Sovereign with effort. Her memories were quickly converted by the magic on her forehead into a Spirit Wave and sent out.
“Haha, they really do look alike…” The light in Luo Shuangxing’s golden eyes gradually faded.
She let out a dry laugh. “So that’s how it is. I was wondering what was going on.”
How could she have ever imagined this scenario!
Her father wasn’t actually a father, but a mother?
And she was the Boss of another world—an ice-cold beauty with the aura of a high-and-mighty empress!
My god!
Luo Shuangxing felt like she had received too much information in these short few minutes.
First, she learned there was another world with demons and intelligent life.
Then, she discovered her father, who had been missing for so long, was actually also a mother and the Boss of another world.
Thinking back to a year ago when she thought she was just a lonely little orphan who could only depend on her brother, Luo Shuangxing really wanted to laugh.
She thought her family was ordinary, just that her parents were exceptionally beautiful.
As it turned out, her mother was the world’s strongest Magical Girl, and her father was a goddess from another world.
What kind of terrifying family lineup was this?
With this kind of background, Luo Shuangxing felt that if she didn’t encounter some Great Crisis that threatened to destroy the world, she wouldn’t be living up to her identity.
“Is there anything else? I feel like even if you told me the world was going to end in the next second, I wouldn’t be surprised anymore.” Covering her face, Luo Shuangxing spoke in a voice that signaled she had given up thinking and accepted reality.
Then, a cluster of very familiar magic power appeared within her perception.
That magic power belonged to her good friend.
‘Yi?’
‘No, it’s impossible for Yi to appear here.’ Luo Shuangxing immediately denied her own suspicion.
However, this magic was undeniably Yi’s Starlight Magic.
There couldn’t possibly be another person in this world who mastered Starlight Magic… wait, there actually was another person who mastered it.
Luo Shuangxing remembered that her sister had once absorbed and copied Yi’s magic power due to a request from the Magic Department.
This was the only reason she could think of to explain the current situation.
Watching the Starlight Magic surging from the space gradually solidify into the shape of a magic circle, the doubts in Luo Shuangxing’s heart finally vanished.
She was certain this was her sister’s handiwork.
About ten minutes later, she saw her sister, whose appearance had changed almost completely, jump out from the magic circle.
She happily delivered a piece of good news.
“Shuang Xing, our world is about to explode!”
