Sylvia narrowed her elegant eyes, her gaze fixed intently on Enya as she sized her up from head to toe.
The aura of the Fifth Magicka Stage was unmistakable.
So, where did she get the confidence to stand before both her and the Shadow Hall Master?
If Enya had stayed high in the sky, they wouldn’t have had any good way to deal with her, but she had chosen to land of her own accord.
This was suspicious…
Sylvia could naturally tell that Enya was the person previously known as Ain, but even so, she found it hard to believe that Enya could face her and the Shadow Hall Master alone.
Sylvia’s gaze shifted from Enya to the circular diagram she had drawn on the ground, which was roughly ten meters in diameter.
Frowning slightly, she turned her head and used a transmission Magic spell to speak to the Shadow Hall Master beside her.
“Shadow Hall Master, don’t let her drive a wedge between us.”
The Shadow Hall Master was habitually silent. He was a shadow—man of few words—but he was certainly not brainless.
Although Sylvia said that, he didn’t truly trust her. This purple spider-woman was not exactly a reliable ally.
However, on the surface, they were still partners; they hadn’t even obtained the goods yet.
Tulius was likely gone, and this Dragon woman and her baggage—the Elf—were the common enemies he and Sylvia shared.
Before they turned on each other over how to split the cake, they had to snatch the cake from their common enemy first.
The two seemed to reach a tacit understanding, locking their Spirit Power onto Enya’s location. Enya didn’t seem to mind this at all.
As for what effect she wanted to achieve with her words…
Enya didn’t actually care. It was fine if it worked, and it was the same if it didn’t, because she was the only one who would be walking out of here.
“Ho ho, you’re not choosing to run away? Instead, you’re walking toward me?”
Enya held her head high, playfully mocking Sylvia and the Shadow Hall Master.
Sophia, who was sitting on Enya’s arm, had a slightly flushed face.
Her entire body was leaning against Enya, and Enya’s Dragon Horns happened to press against the fruits of her chest; in other words, Enya’s head was resting against her chest, which made Sophia feel quite shy.
Even though they were in the middle of a confrontation…
With her Predecessor here, the sense of security was so overwhelming that Sophia couldn’t help but let her mind wander.
Meanwhile, Nina poked her head out from behind Enya’s back, curiously watching the two big shots over there.
Cultivation became increasingly difficult the further one progressed. As someone at the peak of the Sixth Rank, Nina naturally knew that anyone who could reach the Seventh Tier was definitely not a fraud who relied on medicine; they all possessed their own unique traits.
Nina was curious about how Enya would handle them.
“Hey, you Dragon, are you really okay? Do you want Nina to come down and help you?”
“Just watch quietly.”
Enya rolled her eyes at Nina from beneath her Helmet and flicked the Standard Longsword in her right hand, as if she were getting used to its weight.
At that exact moment, the two opponents moved.
However, they did not enter the circle themselves. Instead, they used their respective long-range methods.
Facing two streaks of light—one purple and one black—approaching her, Enya remained as calm as if she were taking a stroll in a courtyard.
Her golden-red Dragon Eyes shifted from the blade of the longsword toward the source of the two lights.
A faint silver glow rippled across the sword in her hand.
This light was not dazzling; it didn’t appear sharp or aggressive, but rather soft and restrained.
It felt as though the slaughterous intent had faded with time, and the sword in her hand had hidden its edge, giving off a feeling of returning to a peaceful, pastoral life.
‘Is that… it?’
Just as Nina was thinking this, her eyes widened in the next instant!
Enya’s grip on the sword wasn’t particularly tight. She tilted the blade, shifted her feet slightly, and her figure vanished from the spot.
In the distance, Sylvia saw that within the circle, Enya—while holding Sophia in one arm and carrying Nina on her back—had instantly turned into an afterimage.
Then, both her and the Shadow Hall Master’s Spirit Power locks lost Enya as a target. Alarm bells immediately rang in Sylvia’s heart.
A sense of crisis made it difficult for her to breathe.
High in the air, Enya was suspended upside down.
The longsword in her hand was already wrapped in silver Sword Qi that had condensed into a solid form. She let out a light chuckle.
“Nina, watch closely. This is the pinnacle of the sword.”
Because of those words, Nina and Sophia both turned their gazes toward the sword in Enya’s hand.
At that moment, it was pointed at the two enemies who were powerful and troublesome to them.
At the same time, Sylvia and the Shadow Hall Master found Enya again.
They looked up at Enya, who was hanging upside down in the sky.
Immediately afterward, they felt a violent sense of unease from that sword.
It was a danger that felt even more intense than peeping into the night space inside that Stone Gate.
‘Dodge! I must dodge!’
Facing the aura on this sword, the only thing the two of them wanted to do was flee far away from its attack range.
But Enya never gave her opponents a chance.
She lightly swung the longsword downward, tracing a silver trajectory through the air.
She passed through the gap between Sylvia and the Shadow Hall Master, landing elegantly while holding the girl in her arms. The silver trajectory traced by the longsword followed Enya and took root in the ground as she landed.
As Enya tapped the tip of the sword against the earth…
The silver path spun and bloomed.
Suddenly, sword light flashed.
They were branches and leaves; in the places where the sword light passed, silver-white roses composed of Sword Qi bloomed out of thin air.
With Enya as the center, silver-white roses blossomed across the land, eventually filling almost all the space and turning the area into a beautiful but dangerous sea of flowers.
Wherever they bloomed, anything that touched the petals would be shredded.
Within 1,000 meters, everything was severed!
The Shadow Hall Master’s massive black body crumbled and collapsed in an instant, revealing his true form within the black fire skull.
However, his true body was also sliced into several pieces by the petals of the Silver-white Rose. The last words that escaped his throat were:
“How can this be? How can this be!!”
He had wanted to use his final life-saving measure, only to discover with horror that his Soul had also been cut apart.
Furthermore, the Sword Qi was like fire meeting willow catkins, rapidly burning away his Soul Fragments.
Enya had even cut off any chance for his Soul to escape or for him to be resurrected in another body, plunging the Shadow Hall Master into absolute despair at the very end.
And so, filled with resentment, the Shadow Hall Master passed away.
The same was true for Sylvia.
Her spider body, composed of Purple Threads, could not be easily breached even by a Seventh Tier enemy. Yet, in the midst of the blooming Silver-white Roses, it was sliced into pieces like tofu.
Her defense was as flimsy as paper.
The human torso on the spider’s head was also decapitated, and the entire thing scattered across the ground like building blocks.
Her beautiful head rolled and rolled, stopping only after hitting a stone. That perspective happened to be just right to see Enya turning around.
Enya set Sophia down and then told Nina to roll off her back. But Nina seemed to be stuck to her, so in the end, it was Sophia who peeled her off.
“You’re pretty good, you Dragon…”
After being peeled off, Nina turned her head and whispered with a pout.
Enya reached out and pinched her small face.
Though Nina was a bit uncomfortable, she endured it and didn’t dodge.
Enya then took out the Black Water Ball.
She walked over to the pieces of the Shadow Hall Master.
Just as she opened the stopper of the Bottle, a burst of black smoke rose from the fragments.
This time, the amount was significant.
The Black Water Ball, which was originally the size of a fist, more than doubled in volume, and Enya’s Bottle almost couldn’t hold it all.
Looking at the full bottle, she felt quite gratified.
Only after finishing this did she look toward Sylvia’s head.
Last time, she had only left a mouth, but this time she had left a bit more.
Enya walked over, squatted down, and grabbed the purple hair to straighten Sylvia’s head.
Looking at the beautiful face that now held a trace of misery, she said with a playful smile:
“Sharon, you don’t think I’m sparing you because I think you’re pretty, do you?”
Sylvia had certainly never thought that.
Enya suddenly sighed softly, then poked Sylvia’s head with her finger and said cheerfully:
“Actually, I really didn’t kill you because you’re pretty. Tell me, are you happy to hear that answer?”
“You certainly like to joke, Sword Saint…”
Sylvia forced a smile to go along with Enya’s joke, though she looked rather pitiful while doing so.
“Heh heh.”
Enya gave a cold laugh.
She had been recognized, but that was normal. Sylvia was a Seventh Tier, after all; it was impossible for her not to have heard of Enya.
Moreover, she was from the Golden Town.
As an intelligence organization, they had a very deep understanding of the Sword Maiden who had reached the Nine Steps.
The sword strike just now had also revealed a clue.
Enya had originally wanted to tease Sylvia a bit longer, but she sensed a familiar aura approaching. She immediately became alert and stood up quickly.
She pulled a Golden Birdcage out of the Void.
This was originally the luxury mansion where the message-carrying crow lived, but now that the fellow was unemployed and looking for a job, the cage was empty.
Enya opened the cage door, bent down, grabbed Sylvia’s head, and forced it inside. Sylvia was truly resilient; she didn’t even let out a cry of pain.
The opening was quite small.
In just that short amount of time, Enya was already drenched in sweat.
She hung the birdcage from her waist, spread her wings, and flew toward Sophia and Nina, grabbing an Elf in each hand and running for it.
If she didn’t run now, she wouldn’t have another chance later!
Time to slip away.
She soared into the sky, turning into a streak of silver light as she flew toward the right side of White Stone City.
With her lightning-fast speed, she flew out of the Northern Mountains’ territory within three breaths.
And just three breaths after she left, a White Deer carrying a slender woman sitting sideways appeared on the land shattered by Sword Qi.
The woman had long, flowing, light-green hair and wore a very elegant dress. Aside from a headband made of brown branches and a Green Veil covering her face, she had no other adornments.
The residual Sword Qi in the air allowed Eliv to recognize Enya at a glance. She looked in the direction Enya had fled and spoke with a hint of resentment.
“How could you have the heart to hide from me?”
With a long sigh, Eliv looked toward the Great Rift in the distance. Since she hadn’t caught the person, she had to help Enya clean up the mess.
Heh, heh heh, heh heh heh…
Enya!!!
Eliv rubbed her temples, suppressing her anger.
