After a bout of fooling around, it really was time to wrap things up.
Ning Wanqiu shouldered the gift for An Yu and took her small hand, ready to escort her home.
As for Huai Xiang, she could only leave by herself. She had already called a car to take her home.
“Hehe~”
Huai Xiang giggled foolishly, looking at the money that had returned to her account, her face full of joy.
Money, my little money~
The money that Cheng Shimeng had tricked her out of was finally back.
Now flush with cash again, Huai Xiang generously chose to call a car for herself.
And this time, wasn’t it pure profit?!
The gift—An Yu liked it a lot, and the money spent on it had been returned by Cheng Shimeng!
This was win-win-win; she had won three times all by herself. She was winning so much it was numbing!
“Humph humph humph, the gift goes to An Yu, and the money stays with me!”
Huai Xiang slipped on her shoes and winked with a goofy grin.
But soon, she suddenly realized something.
At the same time, Ning Wanqiu and Cheng Shimeng also sensed that something was off.
The three of them subconsciously exchanged glances.
The gift wasn’t just Ning Wanqiu’s plush toy!
That thing had been accepted by An Yu!
“Hm?” An Yu tilted her head expressionlessly, not knowing what the three of them were up to.
After a flurry of activity, they moved the giant plush toy from Cheng Shimeng’s bedroom back to the front door.
They looked at each other, all wearing awkward expressions.
None of them had considered that An Yu would accept this gift.
And now, to deliver it to An Yu’s home, it was obvious that An Yu couldn’t manage it herself.
…
Either call for delivery, or…
“I called a car, so I’ll just take it along and move it into An Yu’s room when we get there.”
Ning Wanqiu spoke up quietly.
This job could only fall to her, the flower guardian escorting An Yu home.
It was convenient, anyway, since she was already taking An Yu back.
It just changed from dropping her at the door to going inside the house.
No big deal.
“That’ll have to do.”
Cheng Shimeng nodded and brought over two ropes to tie around the plush toy.
“You can carry it on your back to deliver it—that way you can see the road, unlike a certain dummy.”
Beside her, Huai Xiang nodded in strong agreement.
If you hugged this thing, you couldn’t see the road at all.
Carrying it on your back was perfect, no need to be like a certain dum…
Hm?
“Who’s the dummy?!”
Huai Xiang, reacting half a beat late, shouted in a huff.
But this time, Cheng Shimeng didn’t respond; she just smiled disdainfully.
Among those present, besides Huai Xiang being the dummy, who else could it be?
She was the fool among fools, the dummy among dummies.
Her two acts of kindness had both been squandered by this girl.
Next time they played a game, she’d crush her mercilessly.
“Wanqiu, I’ll help you get it on your back.”
“Mm.” Ning Wanqiu nodded, then quietly squatted down.
Cheng Shimeng reached out to hug the giant plush toy and helped place it on Ning Wanqiu’s back.
“Whew…”
Cheng Shimeng subconsciously wiped away a bead of sweat. Say what you will, this thing was pretty heavy.
Only a brute dummy like Huai Xiang could hug it so casually.
Feeling the weight on her back, Ning Wanqiu stood up with effort.
“Ungh, it’s… it’s okay.”
She could handle it, anyway; it was just to An Yu’s house.
“Good, then see you tomorrow~”
“Mm, see you tomorrow, Shimeng, Xiangxiang.”
Ning Wanqiu nodded, then naturally took An Yu’s small hand again without a second thought.
An Yu also nodded toward the two of them. “See you tomorrow.”
With that, the two left together. The car Ning Wanqiu had called was already waiting downstairs.
“Bad woman, next time I’ll crush you for sure—just wait!”
Huai Xiang stuck out her tongue, then followed closely behind to leave.
Cheng Shimeng shook her head with a slight smile.
“Heh, begging to be crushed~”
Her mouth said “begging to be crushed,” but her face was full of disdain. Anyone could see that Cheng Shimeng didn’t take Huai Xiang seriously at all.
Of course, with such a huge gap in gaming skills, it was hard to take her seriously.
Seeing everyone leave, Cheng Shimeng locked the doors and windows, and the house returned to its cold, empty state.
“Tsk…”
Perhaps she had gotten used to lively times, but Cheng Shimeng felt a bit uncomfortable.
She casually sat on the sofa, pulled out her phone, then narrowed her eyes slightly and crossed her legs.
The phone displayed a few messages, seemingly ones Cheng Shimeng had sent to someone.
They seemed to mention things like the An family, birthday, An Qing, and Chen Guang.
Who knows who she was talking to.
On the other side, Huai Xiang had already left in her car.
…
Ning Wanqiu and An Yu, after barely stuffing the plush toy into the car Ning Wanqiu had called, sat inside covered in sweat.
Good thing she had selected the car model when calling it.
Otherwise, they wouldn’t have made it home today.
Now, the two leaned against each other, panting heavily together, as if something had just happened.
The car slowly started moving, heading toward the An family villa.
“Whew…” Ning Wanqiu exhaled and subconsciously glanced at An Yu beside her.
She leaned expressionlessly against her shoulder, her cherry lips slightly parted, breathing steadily.
This look… was cute too.
The words almost subconsciously appeared in Ning Wanqiu’s mind.
She quickly blinked, swiftly pushing those thoughts aside.
Lately, she kept blushing… She needed to control it.
Because An Yu seemed to care a lot, Ning Wanqiu didn’t want to show it too obviously.
She’d worry about her…
“Ning Wanqiu.”
Suddenly, An Yu lifted her head from Ning Wanqiu’s shoulder and looked at her face.
“Mm, mm?”
Ning Wanqiu subconsciously looked at An Yu, her heartbeat speeding up uncontrollably.
“Thank you.”
…
“Thank me for what?”
An Yu blinked expressionlessly, but she didn’t look at Ning Wanqiu’s face again, turning to gaze at the scenery outside the window.
“Nothing.”
“Is… that so?”
“Mm.”
After that, they fell silent.
But the hands they held never let go.
The distance from Cheng Shimeng’s house to An Yu’s wasn’t far; the car soon arrived.
With help from An Yu and the driver, Ning Wanqiu got the giant plush toy back on her back.
“Whew… Let’s go, An Yu.”
“Mm.”
An Yu nodded, subconsciously looking ahead at the An family villa.
Though it had been less than two days, it felt like a long time away.
The two walked hand in hand to the front door. An Yu raised her finger expressionlessly and lightly touched the lock.
The An family’s door was a fingerprint lock, and An Yu’s fingerprint was registered.
But who knows—maybe in these two birthday days, the An family had decided they only wanted An Qing, kicked her out, and deleted her fingerprint.
An Yu looked up, a hint of anticipation in her amber eyes.
Yes, if it was deleted, she could go straight to Ning Wanqiu’s house.
Hug it, sleep, comfortable.

But unfortunately, the door opened.
