“What happened? Did Xiao Yi’an get into a fight with the P.E. teacher?”
When Ye Qingchang returned to the bench beside the basketball court, Liu Xie beside her couldn’t wait to speak up.
As students, there’s always a certain fascination with conflicts between students and teachers.
Sometimes, she even wished she could jump in herself.
“This teacher looked pretty nice to me, though. Or is this a friendly duel with fists?” Liu Xie nudged her head toward Ye Qingchang.
Ye Qingchang, looking quite annoyed, reached out and pressed down on Liu Xie’s head, which kept pushing its way toward her.
For some reason, paired with that shiny golden hair, which was remarkably smooth and silky, it felt just like petting one of those golden retrievers taken for a walk in the park.
Only, golden retrievers don’t bite. Liu Xie really does.
“Xiao Yi’an fought the teacher. If he won, he’d get a perfect score for the final exam—that’s the one-minute, back-and-forth three-step layup.”
Ye Qingchang gave a brief explanation.
“Oh, that’s pretty sweet for him…” Liu Xie seemed to suddenly remember something, “Wait, is he even in our class? If he fought our class’s teacher, does it even count?”
“It counts. He used my name, so I just got a perfect score.” Ye Qingchang stretched lazily.
“Wait, so he fought so hard just to get you a perfect score? What’s he after?” Liu Xie was about to finish, then took it back.
Because what Xiao Yi’an was after—there were plenty of things.
“Don’t worry, I know where to draw the line. I thanked him and even sent him a red packet—consider it paying for the thermos and for his help on my behalf. Nothing else will cross the line, and I definitely won’t rush to throw myself at him just because of this one thing.” Ye Qingchang’s expression remained calm.
But compared to how she’d basically ignored Xiao Yi’an before, at least now she would occasionally look him in the eye.
“If you really know your boundaries, then I won’t say anything more…” Liu Xie’s tone changed, “But let’s talk about how you, who’s never even touched a basketball, just got a perfect score on the final exam.”
That golden hair seemed to bristle a bit in protest, making her look like a golden lion.
“Bro, you don’t even have to worry about your physical fitness test now. As long as you don’t skip class too much, you’ll pass easy. You’re living the good life and I’m seriously jealous.” There was a note of gritted teeth in Liu Xie’s words.
Not that she couldn’t pass at all—she’d at least played a bit of basketball before. Unlike Ye Qingchang and Zhu Niao, who’d barely touched a ball.
The real problem was her current body.
Healthy enough—she hadn’t had any real illnesses so far, except the monthly thing all girls went through.
But those two burdensome masses on her chest, every time she started running, they’d bounce everywhere, and just staying balanced took real effort—that’s what Liu Xie found the most torturous.
If she had Ye Qingchang’s flat figure, it might be easier.
But then she’d lose a bit of the pride she felt when standing among her friends.
Really hard to choose. Not that it was her decision to make right now, anyway.
“Not just me—Little Bird too. Didn’t Gou Yu just do a slam dunk just now? Same deal—fought the teacher and got Little Bird a perfect score too.” Ye Qingchang pointed at Zhu Niao and Gou Yu, who were still crouched beside the fence, watching the female college students playing volleyball on the other side.
“So he was fighting the teacher? I thought he was just bored and doing a random dunk,” Liu Xie said, raising her hand to mimic a shooting motion, “Just like how guys who play basketball will randomly do air shots when walking down the street.”
“Kinda seems neurotic, but if I could dunk, I’d probably do it just for fun too—not for any reason, just so everyone could see.” Ye Qingchang gave her honest opinion, and the two exchanged a glance and high-fived.
On the other side of the basketball court, Zhu Niao’s face was almost pressed to the fence.
Gou Yu didn’t look nearly as smug—he just watched from afar, his eyes mostly on Zhu Niao.
Honestly, he didn’t think those volleyball players were even half as attractive as Zhu Niao.
Plus, Zhu Niao had slim, long legs, soft, and nice to touch.
Even her feet were small…
Realizing his thoughts were heading somewhere they shouldn’t, Gou Yu quickly shook his head to clear away the less-than-innocent images in his mind.
But then his gaze still couldn’t help wandering to Zhu Niao’s legs, hidden beneath her long pants.
It was autumn; he couldn’t expect Zhu Niao to wear shorts or skirts in the chilly weather, showing off her legs for him to ogle.
Besides, he didn’t want the other animals at this school seeing his Little Bird’s charms anyway.
Still, he couldn’t help fantasizing—if only Zhu Niao wore something less concealing, but still warm for autumn.
Like—tights.
Black, white, nude…
Knee-high socks would do too.
And since he was already thinking about knee-highs, why not daydream about garter belts, ombre styles, and so on…
Then Little Bird would step on him, wearing all those, and he could clearly feel the softness of Zhu Niao’s little feet, the silk brushing his skin.
And then…
“Why do I feel like you’re starting to fantasize about something gross?” Zhu Niao stared at Gou Yu, who looked like a drooling pig, even grinning foolishly at the sky.
“How could that be? I’m upright and honest—never stray off the path,” Gou Yu replied righteously.
“Bro, bringing you here to watch them play volleyball was supposed to cultivate your mind and uplift your character. If you’re having dirty thoughts at a time like this, I’ll have to look down on you.” There was a note of disdain in Zhu Niao’s tone.
“I thought you brought me here because I got you a perfect score.”
“Well, that’s part of the reason too.” Zhu Niao changed her face instantly.
“Then I’m not really satisfied, Little Bird. If you hire someone, but this is your attitude, it’s really hard to get things done,” Gou Yu said, feigning difficulty. “Those girls aren’t even as good-looking as you.”
“Are you complimenting me?” Zhu Niao was stunned. “Then what do you want? Say it first—it can’t violate public decency or anyone’s dignity.”
“How about you wear tights for me?”
“You just want to catch embarrassing pictures of me, don’t you?” Zhu Niao was shocked. “How is that any different from when you made me wear that mascot costume to hand out flyers?”
“At least tights look better than a mascot suit.”
“Eh, wait a minute…” Zhu Niao squinted closer, “Are you just lusting after my body?”
Finally.
