The Editor and the Local Coordinator were especially careful not to stay in one place for too long.
Since Paris is a city where you can easily run into Korean tourists no matter where you go, it was to prevent news from spreading that Yoon Jooho was filming at any particular location.
The shoot took place at several locations in the 5th District, each with its own free-spirited charm.
At the Metro Entrance, the two of them bought goods from a stall shaded with a green awning.
At the crosswalk in front of the famous café ‘Les Deux Magots’—where Sartre, Hemingway, Picasso, and Camus once frequented—the two waited for the light.
They crossed the street.
With a long white apron tied around his waist and a mustache, an elderly waiter posed with them in a playful manner, all of them making comical faces.
They also shot at Rue des Huchettes, close to the Seine.
Since most bars in the alley open after 4 or 5 o’clock, it was still quiet, and thanks to that, they managed to get quite a few cuts that preserved the local vibe.
The last shoot before moving to the 6th District was at Saint-Michel Square.
Yoon Jooho, wearing a navy peacoat, and Song Hyunsoo, in a leather jacket with a thin, long scarf wrapped around his neck down to his knees, struck a pose in front of the Fountain.
Since the area serves as a kind of rendezvous spot, there were quite a few spectators compared to other locations.
Among them, a group of five or six men and women watched with particular interest.
Judging by their street-style outfits—each with a large backpack or shoulder bag—they looked like university students.
Above all, the lively energy unique to students radiated from them.
Among them, a female student with curly, light brown hair approached the Editor and asked,
“What are those people doing? What’s this shoot for?”
Yoon Jooho, who had been monitoring with the Photographer for a moment, heard her excited voice.
“Do you know <Once>?”
“Of course I do!”
“It’s a photoshoot for <Once> Korea.”
“Oooh, then those people must be famous actors.”
The Editor burst into laughter.
“Oh, sorry. It’s been so long since someone asked me that.”
Apologizing, the Editor glanced back at Yoon Jooho, who was a few steps behind, and said with a smile in her voice,
“Jooho, you need to work harder.”
“Why?”
“These students are asking if you’re a famous person.”
With his hands thrust into his coat pockets, Yoon Jooho approached them.
“Are you Sorbonne University students?”
“That’s right.”
“Are you all in the same major?”
A male student carrying a guitar case grinned mischievously as he replied,
“No, our majors are different, but we’re in the same club.”
“Let me guess—Music Club?”
“Come on, that’s too easy! Because I’m carrying a guitar!”
The honest, curious gazes of these students—shy about talking with a stranger yet unable to hide their interest—somehow made Yoon Jooho feel good.
Song Hyunsoo also became interested and quietly approached.
The guy with the guitar immediately showed interest in Song Hyunsoo.
“You’re an actor too, right? You look our age.”
“I’m a rookie. This is my first photo shoot.”
“So is this your first time in Paris?”
Song Hyunsoo nodded.
As soon as they heard that Song Hyunsoo, who looked about their age, was visiting Paris for the first time, the students’ interest was piqued.
Have you been to the Eiffel Tower, what are your impressions of Paris, what kind of food have you tried… questions poured out.
Song Hyunsoo answered haltingly, with just a few simple words.
Sometimes, he needed Yoon Jooho’s interpretation.
Even so, his face looked delighted.
Taking a step back in his role as Interpreter for a moment, Yoon Jooho watched his lover and then asked the Music Club students,
“Are you busy by any chance?”
The students looked at each other.
Why is he asking that? Their faces showed both curiosity and excitement.
“Not really.”
“We were just discussing where to go for a drink.”
Yoon Jooho turned and called to the Editor.
“Team Leader.”
She, who had been discussing whether to move to the next location after finishing up here, looked back.
Yoon Jooho made a suggestion.
“How about shooting with these students?”
“Hmm?”
“Instead of just me and Hyunsoo, we could take some relaxed shots of us chatting and hanging out with these students. I thought it might suit the concept.”
“I think that would actually fit the shoot’s concept really well…”
When the Editor showed a favorable response, Yoon Jooho turned to Song Hyunsoo and asked,
“What do you think?”
“I think it’ll be fun.”
Just like when he arrived in Paris two nights ago, there were stars bursting in Song Hyunsoo’s eyes.
The feeling that he could do anything as long as he could keep seeing that explosion wasn’t just a whim.
Even Yoon Jooho could hardly believe he was making such a spontaneous suggestion.
But it was already a change that had come over him—a part of his transformation.
“If you have time, would you help out with the shoot?”
“How?”
“You just have to hang out with us like this.”
For a moment, the students started discussing in French, their voices buzzing.
Some seemed a little shy or hesitant, but judging by their expressions, they were interested, even if embarrassed.
After gathering everyone’s opinions, the tall, curly-haired female student, who seemed to be the leader, answered cheerfully,
“Sure. It sounds like something we’ll remember.”
Meanwhile, a few Koreans had gathered around.
They were frantically recording Yoon Jooho’s every move on their phones, not knowing what to do with themselves.
The Music Club students exchanged startled glances at the sight of people covering their mouths and hopping in excitement.
The Editor quickly stepped in to organize things.
“All right, shall we head to our vehicle together? We’ll move the shoot to another location.”
As they moved to the darkly tinted van waiting nearby, the students asked,
“Where are we going?”
“To Rosé Stephan Park in the 6th District.”
Yoon Jooho and Song Hyunsoo changed outfits and touched up their hair and makeup inside the moving Sprinter.
Yoon Jooho wore a thin, striped shirt with clean trousers and Converse sneakers.
He rolled up the sleeves three or four times, giving off a relaxed, comfortable vibe overall.
Song Hyunsoo’s outfit was a Suit, but it wasn’t the formal “dressy” style.
Like Yoon Jooho, the silhouette was generous and trendy in design.
The Stylist, searching for an inner wear to match the Suit, finally decided to have him wear only the jacket on his bare torso.
After finishing the styling, Yoon Jooho approached, giving Song Hyunsoo’s look a disapproving glance.
“That’s way too revealing.”
“There he goes again—our overprotective CEO.”
The Stylist muttered as if they’d been expecting this and immediately complained,
“How is this revealing?”
“It is. Even like this, his nipples are clearly showing.”
Yoon Jooho grabbed Song Hyunsoo’s arm and lifted it, peering down at his exposed chest in protest.
Nipples… This guy, in front of others…
Song Hyunsoo felt his face grow hot.
“It’s a body I worked hard for with diet and exercise. I should show it off. Look at how great he looks.”
The Stylist deliberately moved Song Hyunsoo away from Yoon Jooho.
Whether he realized he was being unreasonable or not, Yoon Jooho looked disgruntled, but didn’t stubbornly insist.
“Doesn’t he look good?”
“Of course. He’s not overly muscular, but you can clearly tell he works out. It’s fun to dress him.”
“What do you think, Director?”
“About what?”
“If he debuts properly, he’ll become popular quickly, right?”
Since yesterday, Yoon Jooho had asked similar questions several times—to the Stylist, the Editor, the Makeup and Hair Directors, the Photographer.
To Song Hyunsoo, it seemed like a “you-know-the-answer” kind of question, and each time, his face grew hot.
When the representative of the actor’s agency—especially one with so much influence in the industry—asks you that, how can anyone answer honestly?
“Of course.”
This time too, the Hair Director couldn’t help but give the “right answer” Yoon Jooho wanted.
As she straightened Song Hyunsoo’s clothes, she added,
“His face is fresh, he’s got great proportions, and since Yoon Jooho adores him so much, he’s bound to be a good actor. He’s even found a solid company, so there’s no reason he won’t succeed.”
Only then did satisfaction show on Yoon Jooho’s face.
“But he doesn’t diet. He’s only just started working out properly, too.”
“You must have a fast metabolism, Hyunsoo?”
At the Stylist’s question, Song Hyunsoo replied,
“I just like being active, so I don’t think I gain weight.”
Leaning against the hanger, watching them, Yoon Jooho smirked with a foreboding look.
“He really does love moving. Proactive, you might say.”
The fact that only he realized Yoon Jooho was making a lewd joke made Song Hyunsoo grateful.
And he decided that, tonight, he would not let him touch even a fingertip.
