After healing Karen over and over for three hours, Truth finally reached level fifteen.
But there was a problem—after defeating the BOSS, the experience gained should have been around 5,000.
That should have been enough for her to reach level 17, right?
So where’s my experience? Where did it go?!
That’s two whole levels of experience!
Ignoring the doubts of Karen and the others, Truth quickly skimmed through the notification panel in front of her and soon found the BOSS experience reward:
【Successfully defeated the Crimson-Backed Centipede LV.28, gained 5,000 experience points】
“The experience is showing up, there’s no issue here. Did a bug happen?”
Truth tilted her head, then quickly looked at another prompt and found the real issue:
【Experience +5000, Current Level LV.119 (MAX)】
“Huh?! Why did the experience go to my main account?!”
Gritting her teeth, Truth opened the detailed prompt and discovered that, since she had two panels, this world naturally recognized her as two people.
But there was only one reward, even though she had two panels…
So the system used “influence” to decide. Whichever panel had a greater impact would get the reward.
During the fight against the Crimson-Backed Centipede, Blood Demon Truth dealt the most damage and got MVP! Priest Truth just went along for the ride!
So the Blood Demon Truth, who did the most work, received the BOSS experience reward. That was that.
“Influence… they can even divide rewards like that?”
After reading the system’s little explanation, Truth stood there in a daze for quite a while.
Was there really such a setting? If it can’t recognize her dual system, it judges by influence?
Although it seemed the system’s logic was fine, Truth just felt a bit targeted:
“Ptui!”
“What on earth happened?!” Karen, anxious, asked from the side, while Anderson looked just as nervous.
For something to make the Saintess show such a troubled face, it had to be something that could affect the whole world, right?
“Ah, nothing, it’s just that my half-brother from a different mother and a different father is pregnant again, that’s all. Family matters, come on, let’s check the treasure chest.”
Truth said this, making the three people nearby look at each other in confusion.
What did “my half-brother from a different mother and a different father is pregnant again” even mean?
Before the three could figure out what on earth kind of being Truth’s “brother” was, Truth opened the pale gold patterned treasure chest without hesitation.
With a flash of dazzling golden light, a pair of high-quality brown bracers floated out of the chest and into the air:
【Red-Spined Bracers】
Excellent quality. Equip Requirements: At least 500 Strength, 700 Agility.
Equip Effect: Defense +3, Attack Speed +6%, Skill Unlocked: Synchronous Strike
“Oh? Excellent-quality gear with a skill attached, that’s pretty rare.”
Truth picked up the Red-Spined Bracers and felt their weight—not bad, pretty light.
Judging by their stats, they were probably for agile melee types.
“Miss Ariel, you… can directly appraise treasures too?”
Kovado noticed Truth hadn’t used any appraisal tool, yet she immediately stated the bracers’ grade and whether they had a skill.
Even priests are learning appraisal now?
Truth found this odd as well. You needed to appraise treasures? Why not just open the stats panel and look at the description…
Oh, right, these natives didn’t have a system:
“I’ve dealt with a lot of treasures, so I just picked up the knack for appraising.”
Giving a half-hearted explanation, Truth began distributing the rewards.
After a brief discussion, the group decided to give the Red-Spined Bracers to Karen, since she worked the hardest and was the most capable among the four.
As for the Crimson-Backed Centipede’s materials, they split them evenly.
“Hold on, I have a suggestion.” At that moment, Truth suddenly interrupted their discussion about splitting the materials.
A suggestion? What’s this, is she going to use her status as a noble lady or her ninth-rank bodyguard power to threaten us for a bigger share of the centipede materials? everyone wondered.
Not that it would be unfair—after all, they all saw what Truth contributed.
Without her command and healing, they’d probably have perished here today.
So, give it all? That was fine too.
Defeating the Crimson-Backed Centipede was already a huge gain for Karen’s group; Karen would definitely make it to tier three within a month, and Anderson and Kovado would at least reach tier two!
Then Truth spoke in her rich young lady tone:
“I don’t need the money, so I won’t take part in splitting the materials. You three divide them up yourselves. When you’re done, call me. I’m going to rest.”
With that, Truth left. Although her small figure gradually faded into the distance, her casual yet arrogant “I don’t need the money” still echoed in the minds of the remaining three.
“Ah, I almost forgot Miss Ariel’s true identity…”
Kovado muttered. Karen couldn’t help but laugh at herself, remembering how she’d just imagined Miss Ariel solemnly declaring her right to most of the BOSS loot.
In the end, she’d actually believed it…
Five minutes later, beside the campfire, Truth followed her usual routine and allocated all four available attribute points to Faith, raising her Faith to 1,542.
“Good, now let’s see what new fun things Authority has unlocked…”
Truth tinkered a bit and discovered the Mist’s modification system had added iron doors, stone walls, small traps, windows, and all kinds of miscellaneous items—plus, there were now two tier-one BOSSes available for use!
These odds and ends…
For other deities, these miscellaneous items were utterly useless, not even enough to build a sacred building for their followers. She couldn’t imagine what they could be used for.
But for Truth, now she could finally realize the idea she’d wanted to try before but couldn’t!
“Hehe, now those rookie adventurers are really going to feel some pain!”……
Meanwhile, in the Mist Southwest Sector.
Since most adventurers had gathered on the road to the Deya Underground Labyrinth, there were only about twenty or so left in the southwest sector, trying to find treasure chests.
Suddenly, a strange pop-up window appeared before everyone’s eyes—visible, yet untouchable:
【Notice: Mist Southwest Sector will soon undergo maintenance. All adventurers seeing this notice, please follow the guidance to leave the Mist immediately. As compensation for this maintenance, each person will receive five ‘Stump Spider Stomachs.’】
“What the heck?”
“Did you guys see that weird notice?”
“Must be a prank, right?”
The adventurers in the Southwest Sector were all bewildered.
This was the first time they’d seen a system message.
But the next second, five tier-one monster materials suddenly fell from the sky, hitting each of them on the head—Stump Spider Stomachs!
At the same time, the exit guidance from the Mist appeared before their eyes.
“Huh? It’s real?!”
