Gabriella was about to explode!
If she were a cat, every single hair on her body would already be standing on end.
The sandwiches lay scattered across the ground. The cookies had been shattered into pitiful crumbs by the magical shockwave.
The little chocolate cakes topped with cream were strewn in pieces, as if they had been brutally dismembered.
All the beautiful scenes she had imagined were destroyed along with them!
Lady Demon King wouldn’t get to eat her little cakes.
She was going to go hungry now.
Damn it, damn it…
Gabriella tilted her head and fixed Elsa with a terrifying glare.
In the same instant, an identical, overwhelming silver aura erupted from her entire body.
She had trained her magic to the absolute limit: pure, white, and holy; and she excelled with the sword.
That was why, long ago, humanity had crowned her the “Silver-White Sword Empress.”
“What… did you just call me?”
“Big… Sister? It’s really you, Big Sister Gabriella?”
Elsa stood frozen.
Because the girl in front of her was unmistakably the same person as the sacred, majestic Silver-White Sword Empress in her memories; and the power radiating from her proved it!
To confirm the other’s identity, Elsa took a few steps forward, straining to see the maid’s face clearly.
But obviously, Gabriella hadn’t heard that cry of “Big Sister” at all.
Right now, her mind was completely occupied with how to punish the enemy in front of her!
Who dares obstruct my plans?
Heh heh.
Whoever it was, they were finished.
In the blink of an eye, she vanished from Elsa’s sight.
Sensing danger, the Grand Commander reacted almost instantly, drawing the sword at her waist in a flash to defend against the sudden assault.
But before the blade was even halfway out of its sheath, the entire sword; sheath and all; was sent flying from her hand.
BANG!
Her legs suddenly gave way, and she dropped to her knees.
In less than the span of a heartbeat, Gabriella was standing right in front of Elsa, staring down at the human who had ruined her plans with murderous eyes.
“What… did you just call me?” she repeated, voice dripping with ice.
Yet upon seeing this, Elsa grew even more excited.
Yes, this had to be her big sister!
As the Grand Commander of the Holy Knights, her swordsmanship was nearly flawless.
Yet this maid had knocked the sword out of her hand without even using a blade; and with such ferocious speed, like a flash of silver-white lightning!
Tears of joy welled up in Elsa’s eyes.
She ripped off her mask, revealing a face seven parts similar to Gabriella’s, filled with emotion and worry.
“Big Sister, Lady Gabriella, it really is you! I’m your little sister Elsa! We’ve finally reunited… sob… come back with me!”
At this moment, every demon soldier around them was stunned.
Most of them only knew that the Demon King’s wife had instantly overpowered the human Holy Knight Grand Commander.
Their morale soared.
Look! The Queen Consort herself came to the front lines; a mere human Grand Commander is nothing but a defeated foe!
Meanwhile, Elsa’s two guards were trembling in shock.
They had believed their Grand Commander would never lose easily; unless someone surpassed her in swordsmanship, even the Demon King would need to fight for a while.
Yet Grand Commander Elsa had been defeated by a maid?!
And that maid seemed to be… her older sister, the Silver-White Sword Empress herself?
However, the current center of everyone’s attention, Gabriella, acted as though she had heard nothing at all.
No; she had heard.
It just hadn’t registered.
She continued glaring at Elsa with those furious eyes and coldly demanded:
“Do you even realize what you’ve done wrong, Elsa? You dare act like this toward the Demon King? Do you have any idea how important those sandwiches and cakes were to Lady Isabella?!”
At that moment, Isabella; who had been waiting off to the side; immediately stepped forward and gently took Gabriella’s hand from behind.
“Wifey, leave these matters to me. You shouldn’t have come to the front lines.”
“But can those demons even cook?”
Gabriella instantly shot back.
“Lady Isabella, this was my failure.”
Saying this, the rage in her stomach burned even hotter at the memory of her ruined lunch; especially when she saw the worried look on Isabella’s face.
She must be heartbroken, right?
Isabella’s cheeks flushed scarlet. My wife is worrying about me at a time like this…
Still, she pulled Gabriella to the other side of the room, making sure her wife was safe.
The two held hands, gazing at each other with tender affection.
The earlier battle intent melted into something sweet and intimate the moment their fingers intertwined, as if they might kiss at any second.
“Lady Isabella~”
Gabriella said, sounding wronged.
“I made lunch for you… and your favorite little cakes. I’m sorry… everything is ruined now. But I can still cook for you this afternoon. Please don’t worry, Lady Isabella.”
“Gabriella…”
Hearing those words, Isabella’s face grew burning hot.
Overwhelmed with shame and gratitude, she lowered her head.
“Gabriella, you’re my wife. I’m so grateful you brought me food. I’m truly touched. I understand your feelings completely. Thank you for caring about me, Gabriella~”
“But, but…!”
Gabriella was getting anxious.
Yet after hearing the Demon King say that, her mood softened considerably.
That’s right~
Wasn’t my original plan to pretend to pamper the Demon King and act weak and obedient in front of her to raise her favorability?
Now that she understands my feelings, hasn’t my goal already been achieved?
But the thought of all that food wasted for nothing still made her furious!
She wanted nothing more than to punish the human who had disrupted her plans; to make her understand the consequences of getting in her way!
Wait… hold on?
Something suddenly felt off.
Ugh, this girl… what did she say her name was again?
My actual little sister, Elsa?!
At that moment, a flicker of rationality returned to her eyes.
She looked at Elsa; the girl she had just thoroughly humiliated, whose sword now lay on the ground; and finally pieced everything together.
Meanwhile, the human Holy Knight Grand Commander Elsa was panicking.
She stared at the Demon King, then at her older sister.
The two of them… seemed to be on extremely good terms?
Wait, why?!
Finally, in her panic, Elsa noticed that the aura her sister exuded was no longer the same as before.
The once-holy knight of light was now dressed in an adorable maid outfit, acting bashful and coquettish in front of the Demon King, as if she had willingly fallen and become an obedient servant.
And most importantly; her sister’s eyes were different.
They were no longer the sky-blue she remembered, but demonic turquoise vertical slits.
“Demon King! My older sister, the Silver-White Sword Empress; what exactly did you do to her?!”
Elsa shouted at the two women holding hands.
