Chapter 133: Transaction

Sophia turned her head slightly, looking at the human man from earlier.

Seeing him trying to approach again, she couldn’t help but glance curiously at Enya.

The man didn’t give up after just one setback; he opened his mouth once more, “Two beautiful ladies…”

“Excuse me, can’t you tell we don’t want to talk to you?”

Enya exhaled softly, interrupting what he was about to say, her expression growing impatient.

The expression beneath the Nobleman’s mask instantly froze.

Enya hadn’t spoken quietly; anyone with even slightly keen hearing could hear her words clearly, instantly attracting quite a few schadenfreude-filled glances, all falling upon that human Nobleman.

Being stared at like that made the man’s lips twitch. He clenched his fists, his heart filling with anger toward the two women before him.

Outsiders, don’t get too full of yourselves!

But before he could explode, a graceful and dignified Purple-dressed Lady walked out.

The Nobleman saw her and immediately shut his mouth, dodging away from her as if she were a venomous snake.

The Purple-dressed Lady, unlike the others, wore no mask to conceal her face.

She was strikingly beautiful, exuding both a foxy charm and an elegant nobility, and her deep violet eyes fell on Enya.

She bent slightly at the waist and smiled lightly, speaking to Enya.

“Honored ladies, please move to another place to talk.”

Enya nodded.

She reached out to take the hand of Sophia, who was brimming with curiosity and secretly eyeing her surroundings, and followed the Purple-dressed Lady.

Sophia glanced back at the drinks on the table.

The Purple-dressed Lady paused, saying something to the returning Dealer.

The three of them walked in single file, passing through the hall, down a corridor, and into a brightly lit room where a large floor-to-ceiling window immediately caught the eye.

Outside was a small garden, not the rundown scene of a slum street.

The room’s décor was elegant, with exquisitely crafted red leather sofas arranged around a glass coffee table, upon which sat an array of fresh fruits.

The Purple-dressed Lady turned, making a gesture of invitation to Enya and Sophia.

“Please, take a seat.”

Enya nodded slightly and, leading Sophia, entered the room.

At the sofa, she released Sophia’s hand and, running her own hand from the small of her back to beneath her hips, sat down slowly and elegantly.

Sophia mimicked her, sitting down in the same manner right next to Enya, so close their bodies nearly touched.

The Purple-dressed Lady closed the door, her face graced with a friendly smile, and sat across from Enya.

She had already seen that Enya was in charge, while Sophia was in a learning posture.

From their mannerisms, she could also tell they were well-educated and refined, not simply commoners pretending at grace.

She understood instantly: Sophia must be a young lady from out of town, while Enya was likely a bodyguard and tutor combined.

“Knock knock~”

At that moment, the door suddenly sounded. The Purple-dressed Lady turned toward it.

“Come in.”

At her words, the door was pushed open from outside.

In came a neatly dressed Waitress, carrying a dark red tray with three glasses of wine.

She moved smoothly to the table, placing the drinks, one by one, onto the glass surface.

First before Enya, then Sophia, and lastly the Purple-dressed Lady herself.

The Purple-dressed Lady picked up her wine glass, her violet eyes resting on Enya.

“Please, help yourselves.”

Enya didn’t respond immediately.

She turned her head slightly, glancing at Sophia’s half-outstretched hand, just about to pick up her glass of yellow, fruity wine.

Sophia noticed Enya hadn’t reached for her glass, and awkwardly wondered if she should withdraw her hand.

But Enya simply smiled gently.

She reached out and patted Sophia’s leg, speaking calmly.

“If you want to drink, go ahead.”

“Um……..”

Hearing this, Sophia, whose hand had been halfway back, extended it once more.

But just as her fingers touched the wineglass, the Elven young lady suddenly realized what Enya’s smile had meant.

She pulled her hand back, a little disappointed, and fidgeted with her fingers.

Back in the Elven Kingdom, she’d been vegetarian every day, never even tasting alcohol.

Clearly a Gold Elf, yet living like a Forest Elf.

So she did want to try.

Enya exhaled softly and looked at the Purple-dressed Lady sitting opposite, one leg crossed over the other.

“I’m not one for small talk, so let’s get straight to it. I want to know the current movements of the Lord of Mist Church—they’ve gone into hiding.”

The smile on the Purple-dressed Lady’s face faltered.

She hadn’t expected anyone to be so direct, especially not these two women…

She hesitated briefly, then spoke slowly.

“You know what we sell here, so I trust you also know how to make a deal?”

There were only two main ways to trade: with gold, or by barter. Information was hard to price.

Some information was worthless to certain people, yet priceless to others.

So most information trades were not about money, but barter.

Sophia didn’t understand, thinking it was just a matter of money.

But Enya was no stranger to this.

Facing this woman whose magic power reached the sixth tier, she nodded, indicating she accepted the “mutual question” transaction.

So-called information exchange meant taking turns asking and answering.

Once the Purple-dressed Lady was certain Enya agreed, she said,

“I can’t tell you the exact location—it’s already been bought exclusively. But I can tell you that three days from now, they’ll be taking action.”

Exclusively bought?

Sophia was a bit surprised.

Enya narrowed her eyes slightly and continued to ask,

“Then can you tell me who bought this information?”

“I can’t say.”

“Alright, I understand.”

“I’ve answered two of your questions. Now it’s my turn.”

A bright smile appeared on the Purple-dressed Lady’s face.

She spoke.

“May I ask what your races are?”

“Human. Elf.”

Enya sat upright, entirely unafraid of the Soul Magic Lie Detection the other might employ.

After all, she was both human and dragon—no problem there!

Sophia noticed the Purple-dressed Lady’s gaze and shifted her own from Enya to the woman, giving her a gentle smile from behind her green veil.

The instant the Purple-dressed Lady looked at the emerald veil, she felt as if she’d been thrown a thousand miles away. It was the effect of some “Miracle” attached to the veil.

A top-class magical item!

“Elf…”

The Purple-dressed Lady softly repeated the word, then turned her gaze back to the self-proclaimed human, Enya, nodding to accept the answer.

“My second question: I’d like to know how you acquired the Intelligence Broker’s Pass.”

Hearing this, Enya smiled and said,

“I snatched it. What about it?”
